Phaeton :: 2004 V8 - Driver Side DRL Flickered And Finally Quit

04 Phaeton V8....Have read all FAQ's regarding bulb replacement and should be no problem... Driver's side DRL flickered and finally quit...I need a straight answer on whether their is a difference in the bulb for low or high beams....
I am aware my problem is the low beam light...However, if I relate to previous posts the only part# mentioned is Osram 66043...D1S 85V 35W.... Is this for both low & high beams????
Compatible part numbers: 66042 66140 66142 66143 66144 66145 66147 and many other 4300K
D1S bulbs.
So they all work the same ? I finally ordered the one made in 09 Part#66145 but still not sure if I did the right thing.... Had the car for three days before light fails.....bummer

Troubleshooting a headlight problem on a 2004 V8 Touareg. Driver's side xenon low beam flickered rapidly and then quit working. I replaced xenon bulb with OEM part, still not working. Swapped in known good bulb from passenger's side, still not working. Took to dealership, who said it needed new ballast, which dealer would be happy to install for a mere $900 in parts and labor. Declined dealer's offer, ordered new replacement OEM ballast (from Chrysler dealer for several hundred less than VW), installed new ballast, still not working. Cleared all fault codes using VAG-COM, still not working. Swapped in known good ballast from passenger's side headlight, still not working. Auto-leveling is still working in both lights. So...not the bulb, not the ballast. Wiring harness, perhaps?

The trunk lock switch on the d/s inner door panel has stopped working. Also both remotes won"t open the trunk as well. Everything else seems to be OK.

2004 f350 lariat Key fob slowly started not to work until it finally quit. Thought it was the battery but changing it had no change. Do the fobs go bad and need to be replaced?

I installed a new ballast and bulb for an 07 ES350. Light, on drivers side, still flickered until I installed the ground screw. This is the screw behind the drivers side quarter panel and it is the only screw on the side of the headlight assembly. Once I inserted this screw, light functioned properly for about 10 minutes. Then it went out and light doesn't come on at all. The fuse is still good. I have tried switching bulbs and light still doesn't work. Also, there isn't any humming from the ballast at all.

Couldn't make it 10,000 miles........without a failure.
My driver's side mirror finally broke. It will no longer power fold. It's been slowly dying over the last few weeks, getting slower and slower. Now it won't move on it's own and the electric motor hardly makes any noise/effort trying to move the mirror.
I would assume that should be replaced under warranty but who knows... We'll see what service says about it tomorrow.

I have a 2004 Explorer and both of the driver side windows quit working so I purchased new switches after checking the fuses and that didn't work. This is my youngest son's truck and can't afford to take it into the shop.

I've got a 2008 GX470 with 38K miles. My problem is that the driver's side front turn signal has quit now for the fifth time! The first 3 times, the dealer's shop said that it was a loose bulb, the was some grit in the socket (which there should not be), etc. The fourth time they replaced the wiring harness. Yesterday, the bulb went out for the fifth time. This is occurring every 4-6K miles. I use my vehicle exclusively on city/highway driving. No off/rough road at all.

I drive a 2004 Ford Ranger. When I use the remote to unlock my truck, there is a grinding electrical sound, and the driver side door does not unlock. The passenger side does, though. Also, when I try to use my key to unlock the door, the driver's side door will not unlock with the key. I can open the driver's side door from the inside by using the handle, but the electric lock button will not unlock the door. It seems like the piece that pops up when the truck is unlocked has a hard time raising to unlock the door. Neither my boyfriend nor I can figure out what the problem is. I find that when I take my truck in for any problem, people at the dealership try to take advantage of the fact that I'm female and don't know much about cars. Need to know what is going on before I take it in anywhere to get fixed.

Had a few warm days last week and noticed a lack of cooling from the HVAC system. Local temps cooled off a bit but I decided to see what I could find out before I got hot again.
Started playing with the system in the driveway and discovered good cooling capacity on the passenger side but just mildly cool air coming out of the drivers side vents. This seemed to be true on both the front and back. I hooked by laptop up and noticed single digit temps at the evaporator. When I brought the temps down on the climate control the right side exchanger would get down to around 12C but the Left would struggle to get to 22C and if I moved the passenger side requested temp up the drivers side exchanger temp would follow even though the requested temp on the drivers side was low. There was a display for the Left and Right regulating valves but they seemed parked at 0.0 unless I made a cabin temp change.
I am guessing the left regulating valve is the problem but know nothing of how this system works. 2004 Phaeton V8 ....

Cracked rear window from bottom center (on the driver's side just past the Dole light). Dealer says that they would have to sub out the install. That worries me a little, given antennae & other items hooked up on/near rear window.

I have an '07 Saturn Relay. The drivers side heated seat has quit working, the passenger side works fine. When I turn the warmer switch on, the switch lights up but the seat never gets warm on the high or low mode of the switch. After a while the light on the switch goes off, it used to stay on all the time. What could be wrong and how can I check it?

I installed LED tails without fog and used the wire harness adapters that came with them. I recoded byte 18 to 21. The right side DRL flickered for awhile then went out. I've tried recoding several times, I've checked the wire harnesses, all connections seem solid. I have the original switch which I thought was OK for LED's without fog. I will try next to take the wire harness adapters apart to make sure there are no shorts.

My 2003 Ford Explorer Power Door Unlock on the drivers side quit working. I can unlock the doors using the fob, unlock them from the passenger side or unlock it manually. I have replaced the Power Door Lock switch but still have the same problem.

I have a 1999 f250 crew cab. About 6 months ago my drivers side window quit working in the up position(lucky me) and last week I got around to fixing it . I just ordered a new window motor instead of the whole regulator and installed it and it worked perfect for 4 days and today it suddenly quit again. What would cause a window motor to go out again so quick? Everything else seems to be fine and there is power to it so I'm assuming it's the motor.

85 f150. My driver side brake light and turn signal in the back quit working. The tail light works tho which is a different filament. The bulb is good and I changed the flasher relay...the circle thing in the fuse panel. Everything else works just fine. looking for a starting point.
