Any way to open the windows and the sunroof from outside of the car with the remote key? Also, is there a way to have the side mirrors fold in when locking the vehicle with the remote key?

View 8 RepliesMy IS has the feature where I can open all of the windows and the sunroof by holding the remote unlock button which has come in real handy during this extended heat wave in the Midwest. But, I can't find out whether or not this feature is on my 2012 LS 460.
View 6 RepliesMy dad drove the RX350 to get some groceries last night and was shocked to see all the windows and moon roof was open after he came out of the store...
My guess is something was pressed against the unlock key on the remote when he was exiting the car and walk toward the supermarket entrance and triggered the all window open from remote...
Fortunately, nothing was stolen but he was shocked...I think I will have the dealer program the RX and disable this feature...
However, I was also shocked that we can only open all the windows but not close them w/ the remote...seems like a bad design...if you can open windows from the remote...you would think you can close all the windows too right??
A couple weeks ago I went home sick from work, doped up on medication. We ran through the drive through for dinner, and it was really cold out. Woke up in the morning to find ALL my windows down and the sunroof open.......and it snowed about 1/4 inch. My wife went with me and she was sober, and swears that all the windows were up when we went in the house. Now, I am at work and had a customer come in and tell me that my windows were down, and the sunroof was open half way. This time I KNOW FOR A FACT that they were up and the sunroof was closed when I parked it.

Now I know I know....dealership can set the settings for my unlock button to automatically set my windows down and sunroof back. But as we all know going to the dealership for anything is so annoying. That being said.... How to set/program it?
View 6 RepliesI have heard that there is a way to program the FOB so that when you hold down the UNLOCK key for a few seconds the windows and sunroof opens.
is there a way to program this ourselves? Or is this only available at the dealer, and if so, will there be a cost associated with it?
I've searched and it seems this is only possible if you open the drivers door and hold down the window switches, but I just want to check...
Is there a way to open the windows from the key fob/remote? This would be really nice since the remote start function is so poorly implemented.
My BMW opens the windows if I hold down the unlock button on the remote or if I put the key in the door lock cylinder and turn and hold (can also close the windows with the key in lock, but not the remote). I've tried and didn't get it to work, but my remote start also gives me fits, so I'm not sure that I'm actually holding the button down right or long enough.
Is this possible on the Touareg? I had this turned on my 02 A4, really nice feature. I know you can close and open with the key in the door, would love to do it from the key.
View 2 RepliesI installed a non-auto euro switch. I tried scandinavian drls and that left all my exterior lights on at all switch positions, even off and when the key is off. I switched no drls and the switch works as it is supposed to. I tried enabling some of the comfort stuff. I want the remote to be able to open and close the windows, but I can't get it to do it. I think i have the right boxes checked in vag com, but no luck.
View 6 RepliesI get the worst wind buffeting (loud whooshing and terrible pressure) when driving with the sunroof open with all the windows completely up. And just yesterday I realized the roof opens up fully with some additional pressure (surprisingly hard pressure) after the lever is turned and I get the most unbelievable eardrum crushing pressure/ noise until I crack a window or two. I'm not kidding, its unbearable at pretty low speeds.
This seems like a serious design flaw (and should have been tested and corrected) not to mention extremely annoying as I can't use the sunroof without opening the windows.
My Phaeton has been parked in my garage locked for about 10 days and the remote will not open the doors. Additionally the key will not go in the key slot in the door. Not sure why that would be an issue. I can open the trunk but the Alarm goes off when I do that!
What can I do to get in the car. The remote shows a green light so I know that battery is good but and the flashing door lights flash.

View 3 RepliesWe just used the car last night. Hard to believe the battery is the issue. The key won't go in the trunk either. All the locks will not work with they key.
Remote wont open doors (it flashes green so battery is fine) and key only goes half way in. Locked out!
2004 GLI ... Venting opens but when I turn the knob to open the sunroof completely, I can hear and see that it wants to open but it stays neutral and wont open up. I attempted the manual crank. Again, I can get it to vent manually, but when I turn the allan key the other way to fully open the roof, it will go as far as moving just below the roof line, but it will not continue to open. I'm concerned if I crank on it too hard, something will break.

View 19 RepliesBought my 2004 Lexi RX330 in June 2014 with 96k (now has 105k - I drive a lot). It is beautiful and I love it! However, I am NOT in love with the sunroof that is currently stuck open. It's been making a weird noise upon opening (think bag of chips crackly) for the past few weeks. Yesterday was gorgeous weather in TX, so it was open most of the day. Come time to put her to bed, the sunroof would not close. Making a horrible grindy/clicky noise and closes about 4 inches then stops... then it starts to open again. Weird! There's nothing I can see in the tracks that is stopping it. The passenger side looks like it would close, but the drivers side looks like it is stuck. Tried to take the sunroof motor out, but there is a metal bracket in the way. Besides the fact, what to do with the motor once I had it out...
View 1 RepliesWhen I first got my 2006 Lexus RX400h (LOVE the car, btw), I would unlock all the doors by clicking twice on the unlock button on the key fob, then hold it down to open the trunk.
My dad went to get something from the trunk and I gave him the same instructions. Well when he did it (we were in the middle of a rain storm) all of the windows opened and not the trunk. Now this is what happens every time.
I'm not sure what happened, but I'm really missing opening my trunk through my key fob especially when my hands are full. Why this is happening and how I can open my trunk using the key fob again?
I had the belts changed on my 2004 Infiniti G35 6-Speed Sedan according to the mechanics advice (they were cracked quite a bit). Now that they're changed they make an annoying squeaking noise which is particularly awful when idling with my windows open. When I took it back, he said the pulleys need to be replaced and they are already at maximum tension. They did not squeak before the replacement. Is he right? Or did he just put in a belt that's longer than it should be?

The problem persists. Are these individual switches for the passenger and back doors in series, where one goes out and none work ?
View 4 RepliesI parked my BMW X3 in my driveway yesterday and then went inside. I live in Oregon and it's been cold and raining for the last several weeks. When my wife and I went to get in the car about an hour later, we discovered that the sun roof and all four windows were wide open and the interior was soaking wet. I certainly didn't open the windows and sun roof. I've probably opened the sun roof once in the three years we've owned the car, and, with all the cold and rain the last several weeks, I've had no reason to open any of the windows. While the car was left unlocked, I did not leave my keys in the car and we live on a fairly private cul-de-sac. I'm baffled as to how this could happen and I can't even come up with a theory.
