View 2 RepliesI want to have my oil cap sit close to the valve cover rather then have that long funnel.
I want to go from this:

I am trying to remove the engine cover on the passenger side of the engine bay so that I can access the power steering fluid reservoir. What is the procedure for removing the plastic clips, rivets or whatever they are and also how do you reinstall them? This is a hair brained design if I ever saw one!

View 4 RepliesHow can i remove the allow wheel cover off my 2011? i see their are 3 places where u can insert a flat screw driver, but i still cannot get it off. I don't want to break it.
View 5 RepliesIt frustrates me to have to ask but I can't find what I'm looking for after several attempts. The footwell cover just below the steering wheel appears to have hinges at its bottom so I'm thinking the top merely snaps into place but I've found no literature referencing that. I've pulled what I felt was a safe amount with no release and I don't want to damage the cover if I'm wrong on my assumption. I can't see any screws to remove but I'm just not sure, what does it take to remove?
I've got the Bentley repair manual but it skips by this as it's not worth referencing going straight to the cover behind it.
I got a piece of cable tie stuck in there.
View 6 RepliesExactly how do you remove the cover (facia) below the front of the front seat so the battery can be removed. To my knowledge no one has spelled this out on this board.
View 7 RepliesI need to send my cup-holder cover and trash hook to Clay so he can color match my F650 dash and I can't figure out how to get the damn side clips on the cup-holder to let go!
I got the top clips and the bottom clip to let go but the side clips will not slip through the slots... I've been near the point of breaking them trying to slide them through...
I did it about two years ago following steps on here but i forgot where to hold the engine cover to take it off, it can be broken if done incorrectly so where to grab that cover to pull it off?

View 4 RepliesI have a 2012 Camry and was wondering how to remove the rear bumper cover? Someone backed into me so I have a shallow dent I want to pop out of the plastic.
View 6 RepliesSo I'm trying to remove the rear bumper cover on a '15, but it has been a royal pain. I went in thinking that the procedure would be similar to what it is on the '14, but it is way more involved. The biggest issue I'm having is removing the large plastic triangular side bracket. It has these weird T-nuts fastened to the body, which you cant remove, and the whole thing looks like it would need to slide upwards to get it off, but you wouldn't have enough room because the shape of the body just gets in the way.
View 1 RepliesHow do you remove the top steering column cover? This is the plastic piece immediately toward the front of the car from the steering wheel. It covers the steering column and is not part of the steering wheel. Part number is 45286-47040-C0 and the parts breakdown doesn't show any fasteners, it probably has some tabs that need to be released, but where?

View 3 RepliesI'm trying to remove the middle console vent cover to install a kuda mount. It says to pry a bit with plastic tools right to the right of the vent between the plastic and the leather/pleather. Getting nervous and don't want to crack the cover or damage anything.
View 1 RepliesI recently bought the PriusLock and I just cannot figure out how to remove the lower dashboard cover. I remove the 2 screws as directed but cannot seem to get the lower cover to come lose ? Would like to know if there is something else like a tab that I have to press or release before the cover will come lose. My husband and I have tried "yanking" it pretty hard and it's still not working.
I have a 2008 prius with smart key system (not sure if the smart key system changes anything as far as the installation goes).
2002 Jetta, how do you remove the cover over the blinker bulb on headlight? There is a rectangular black cover with a tab at the top. I have tried everything, short of breaking it off, to get the tab to release the cover. What is the trick?
View 1 RepliesI took the plastic cover in front of the radiator off to clean the radiator and condenser. It directs air through the condenser before it gets to the radiator and I was wondering if it would cool the engine without it (if you don't need real cold ac air) . Without it the air can go over the top of the condenser and it is still blocked by the flap that stops airflow above the radiator. Also, I am wondering if the fact that the condenser has nothing in it affects the radiator cooling, and is it bad for the AC system to be empty. (My AC doesn't work)
View 7 RepliesI was driving my 2003 Passat 1.8T normally when all of a sudden I see "STOP" on my dash and my coolant light turned on. I pull over and see a bunch of white crap all over the engine cover. The temp gauge didn't go up however, so I drove it home. I am taking it to the dealer tomorrow. I am guessing it could be the water pump? Also there was white crap on the bottom of the hood which showed where it might have came from. I circled that area in the pic.
