Just as the title states. The thing I'm wondering is how this happened; I haven't hit any hard bumps nor has the right front had any sort of collision. My guess is it started to leak out about 5 days ago which triggered the low washer fluid light and when I went to put more washer fluid in it tonight it just starts dripping (about half second intervals) out of the valence.

Every time I refill the bottle, the next morning I always find the fluid under driver's side bumper on my driveway.
Recently the dash display indicated that I needed to add washer fluid. I was surprised that it would be low since I rarely use it and had not done so lately.
Yesterday I added water to the bottle and heard a trickling noise as I was doing so. To my surprise the water was leaking out below the car! The bottle remains empty.
I just picked up a 2014.5 Camry (my 1st Toyota) and how full the windshield washer reservoir should be at max level. Now hear me out before you fall off your chair from hysterical laughter, if I fill up the reservoir up to the lid like every other car I have owned, after a short drive it will go down and be below the filler neck, clear down under the fender even though I haven't sprayed the washer fluid.
I haven't seen any fluid dripping but I believe I have a leak. Sounds pretty cut and dry but I'm asking just incase Toyota has a weird fill level on the washer reservoir.

View 8 RepliesMy 2004 Phaeton has apparently developed a leak with the windshield washer fluid resivoir. Last week the check light came on for low washer fluid. I filled it and now a week later it's on again.
Is there anything in particular that I need to check? I thought I recalled reading about an issue concerning this but I've not found it.
Evidently, this is not an uncommon problem on 2005 - 2007 models. It is (was) also covered by a TSB. I found a related link below but the links to the pictures are broken. Also, the OP states "remove the splash guard panel on the drivers side" which seems odd since the reservoir is on the passenger side.
2006 Avalon Wiper Fluid Leaking....
So I just got new wiper blades for 2001 Toyota Echo, and started to fill the washer reservoir tank when I immediately heard it drip down underneath. I accidentally filled it past the line, and after a few minutes, the bottom portion of the reservoir was still blue, so I think the leak/crack is located towards the top/neck.
But, the issue that has me a little concerned is that I also noticed that when I activate the windshield washer switch, I immediately hear fluid spraying and gushing. No fluid comes out the nozzles. I hear the pump.I don't think it happens at the pump/tank/hose area at the bottom of the tank. I think its occurring inside the fender. I see water drip down the fenderwall onto the tire and ground.
That hose seems to go from the washer fluid tank to the passenger fender and through it and alongside it and comes out near where the hood bolts to the hinge. If the hose is leaking there behind the fender, how I am supposed to access the area in question.
I understand removing the bottom splash cover will give me access to under the fluid tank. Removing the bumper would probably give me access to the tank itself? But that washer tube just rides up along the fender out of sight before it emerges out the back..so what is the proper/easy way of being able to access/route that tube..couldn't really find it in the factory manual. Would removing the fender give me access to the tube?
I recently purchased a 2009 Camry XLE with 14,000 miles on it. So far so good other than the windshield/dash noise rattle when it is cold which I have searched on found a fix. However the other challenge I am having is the windshield washer fluid is leaking. It is a toyota certified car (warranty for 12 mos/ 12,000 miles) so I figured the 160 point inspection was completed expecting they would have topped off all fluids. I filled the washer fluid to where I could see it in the neck of the container. I walked back into my garage to put away the washer fluid, while walking back towards the car I could see something was leaking from under the car. It was leaking from a hole of the plastic directly under the car that covers everything up so you are unable to look up into the engine compartment. What may be causing this leak? I would suspect about 10 to 14 oz leaked.

View 6 RepliesI have a 94 Celica 2.2. I'm having issues with power steering fluid leaking from reservoir cap. I replaced the cap due to the old ones seal had dry rotted and dip stick was broke off, also replaced the 2 small short hoses and new clamps. The return hose is working right and the high pressure hose seems to be working right. None of the hoses are leaking but pressure is building up and pushing fluid out the reservoir cap. What else could be the problem to cause this??
View 14 RepliesJust got in the car and the washer fluid low warning popped up on the dash. As I'm refilling it and get towards the washer bottle being full I see it leaking out the bottom of the car. The car hasn't had any impacts and it's mild here at the moment so the bottle hasn't frozen and cracked but seems to have just started out the blue. Otherwise, swap the washer bottle? I seem to recall seeing it when replacing one of my horns and can't imagine it's much of a job but you never know!

1) Recently had Timing Belt/Water Pump and spark plugs/wires replaced.
2) Issue started immediately after.
3) Removed most of old PS fluid, cleaned out reservoir w/brake cleaner. NOTE: nothing appeared to be clogging reservoir. Refilled with new PS fluid. Repeated these steps a second time. This appeared to immediately resolve the issues for several weeks.
4) Now the power steering is getting rough and noisy again. Also, the PS reservoir is leaking out of the cap worse than before. It looks like the fluid may be "boiling", but it is definitely foaming up pretty badly.
What my issue(s) may be?
Alright, yesterday while I am at work, wife calls me up and tells me the Ex is leaking coolant. I got home a little before dark and looked at it. Right behind the front passenger fender well, it appears that either a bolt came out of a bracket, or someone took it off for something and was too lazy to put it on, allowing the metal elbows to swing over and rub on a bracket. So now I have a hole in that elbow, and I need to the excursion for our trip over Christmas leave. Where I might get an elbow to replace that one? Also, need to know the bolt size for that heater hose bracket to keep it from happening again? If I can't find one pretty soon, I will have to JBWeld or something it temporarily to hold us through until after Christmas.

View 6 RepliesHave a 2011 Golf TDI hatchback. Located in Toronto, Canada where it's about - 20 Celsius with windchill today. Currently have no washer fluid coming through the front or rear nozzles. Thought I was out of fluid but tank is full. Tried piercing the nozzles but nothing changed and they don't look blocked. Don't think it's the weather either as my car is parked in my garage overnight. When I try to spray I can hear the mechanism trying to spray but nothing comes out.

I started some troubleshooting and missed some clear indicators of the problem.
->Rear fluid works
->No pump engagement when trying the front fluid
Wasn't sure if I had 1 or 2 pumps (separate front and back or just one) so I bought one, tore out the reservoir (that air intake was a tough one), swapped the pumps and PRESTO! Still didn't work.
This leads me to believe I should have realized it was switch/power related all along. I don't mind tearing things apart, but I'm not good with electrical. Should I just buy a new whole stock and see if that works? My fuse isn't blown and seems to also be for the power windows, which do work, so I think I should be fine from that point.
Got all the bolts but 1 how do I get this out and what else do I have to take out...
