Passat (B7) :: Setting Up Video Cam To Fuse Box?
Mar 28, 2014
How to power up my video cam to my 2013 Passat fuse box. I don't have a fuse card. I don't know which fuse to attach bare wire to provide constant power to the back up battery that came with my Lukas 7900 dvr.

So compared to my old Jetta, these wipers are "fairly" slow at the highest seeting, and in a down poor at 70 mph they do not clear the windshield fast enough.

I have just started having an issue with my rear view camera. It has started to not come on until about 10 seconds after I have placed the car in reverse and once it does turn on, the video quality is bad. I know there are issues with the RNS510 and warm up time, but I am not using the RNS510. Here is what I have:
OEM RVC on trunk handle
Wire harness from Bold Sport
RNS315
I installed it myself many months ago and checked the wiring and all seems fine. However, I did notice that if I unplug the 4 pin harness near the camera (video feed, not the ground, power and reverse trigger) and then plug it back in, the camera then works instantly when I put the car in reverse and the video image quality returns. However, then it only works for about 3 or 4 times (individual times when I put the vehicle in reverse) and then I am back to a 10 second wait and bad video quality.

Noticed a mismatch of 3-4kms between Cruise setting and speedometer? Example, when i set my cruise to 100km/h my speedometer needle actually indicates 103km/h. I took it to the dealer and they said it is normal because the cruise and speedo get their speed signals from different sources.

I have a 2002 B5.5 Passat sedan. 140K.
Inside my passat, when I run my heater on #1 speed setting there is a high pitched squeak but it goes away on the #2 speed setting. It hasn't been a constant annoyance but enough to want me to fix it now. [URL]....................

My 2000 Passat 1.8T is being evil again. Fuse 15 keeps blowing and I can't seem to find where the short is... however, its stuck at my work. Its a pretty big short, the fuse sparks as soon as I put the fuse near it. BIG SPARKS. Any way to start it without that fuse in?

I have an '04 Passat and my AC did not come on this Spring. I had it checked out and the charge is up to normal on the refrigerant but the compressor will not click on. The compressor fuse is also ok. I have access to a Vag Com that my dad has and I'm wondering if that does any diagnostic test further troubleshooting what the problem might be.

I looked at the fuse diagram on that little card but I could not Id which fuse to pull to stop that wretched noise.

My interior lights, including mirror lights and overhead interior light keep blowing my fuse. This is the 3rd fuse that's gone in a month. I am out of warranty finally. Would it be safe to upgrade the 5 amp to a 7 or 10 amp fuse. I am not about to chase down a possible short through my headliner/dash...

I read up in an article I searched that removing the ABS fuse disables the traction, ESC, ABS, all that stuff. Is there a way that I can disengage my traction control and ESC without taking a fuse out if that is even possible?

The fuse marked #14 which controls the starter and the windows keeps burning. This first happened about 3 months ago and I took it in to a shop which charged me to check all the wires just to tell me that all the wiring was insulated properly and to let me know incase the fuse blows again to keep a spare at all times. Today it happened again and when I replaced the fuse it blew even before I could properly install it and blew 4 fuses in total.
