One of the frequent stations I listen to, WXRT 93.1 here in Chicago, switched over from the standard "HD Radio" icon to one that I haven't seen yet "HD Radio Live" icon. Not sure what this means but it may be related to how some live HD radio can be paused, on other HD radios. Just a guess. Not sure if this has showed up on other HD radio stations but this is the first time I've seen this new icon .

View 6 Replies2004 Prius, 149,000 miles. Driving on a highway when suddenly it felt like a headwind was bearing down on me, and a minute later, the red triangle of death and all the other lights came on. Did not totally lose power. Pulled to the shoulder and while waiting for the tow truck, started and turned the car off several times.
After the first few times, the red triangle did not light up, but the check engine icon remained on. The tow truck driver had a very difficult time getting the car into neutral to pull onto the flatbed, and then when he took the car off the truck to park it at the dealership, he said it shifted "hard" into drive.
I don't have a code since I don't own a reader. What this might be? I really, really hope it's not the traction battery needing replacement. I have no training to replace single cells.
I have a problem with my car (prius 2004 ) just this morning , my car air con doesn't work without reason, it used to happen the same about half month ago but i just turn off the engine and turn it on many time it work as normal, and now it was happen again. and engine red icon also appear long time ago as well, when i ask technical guy to check it reply the code : PC 172 System too reach (....)

View 3 RepliesI have a 2007 bottle fed EX 350. I am installing XM into it. SAT/AM button scrolls thru SAT 1 2 3. Display sometimes shows 184 or 255. Occasionally is says Radio Err, It has displayed "radio id" with nothing else, And I managed to get it to display a cryptic looking F W1 4 30 .

Siriusxm cannot work with my vin.
Cannot tune to ch0 as there is no XM preview going on.
I have seen several posts recommending Costal Tech's mod to keep one of the aux power sockets ("cigarette lighter") live. However, this does not work for the 2010 Prius (works only until 2009). How to make the cigarette lighter live even when the car is turner OFF?

What this could be? I'm not sure that I can get the car to the shop tomorrow. I'd hate to be stranded with a drained battery...
View 3 RepliesOn a 2000 Passat I have I could not get the brake pad wear icon to go away. I jumpered the wires at the plugs up near the wheel well behind the grommet and that did nothing. I can't imagine that the wires behind the body are broken/frayed as they are not exposed to anything that would cause them to break/fray.

I would think it would flash when ESP is on and it has encountered slipping and corrected. With the button set to off, I would think the light would stay lit on the dash?

View 5 RepliesBattery died, i jumped it, couldn't keep it idle, revved it for a little while, a small fire appeared on the side of the motor. the fire died on it's own and im not going to start it again. If you are facing the motor it was on the left hand side by the passenger side wheel. I don't know whats down there or what could have happened but I'm just weighing my options at this point.

Just had this error come up in the MFD sat nite. Steering column locked up, had to pull key out and re-start. Everything was fine after that. I did have the same error about 2 years ago when I first bought it. Should I bring it up to the dealer, or just forget about it since it hadn't come back.

View 1 RepliesGot a low tire pressure alert this morning. Was running late for work and the tires weren't noticeably low and work is only 5 miles away so I decided to do it after work. Went to the gas station to get some air and all the tires were at 33 ish and one was at 20. Filled it up and drove for about 25 minutes but the error light never came off.

I get the P1128 code and Emissions Workshop warning most of the year, then it cycles off in the summer. It went off yesterday, back on today, and I imagine it will go off again for weeks/months as the weather heats up.
Things I've tried so far:
Replaced MAF sensor
Replaced MAF wiring harness
Replaced front 02 sensor
Replaced air filter
Replaced cracked vacuum tubes, at least those accessible from the top. Some of the hidden lengths theoretically could be at issue but a mechanic said they were ok.
What I've not replaced is the secondary air pump. (Mechanic told me it's dry and checks okay.)
So I was driving my cousin's Passat 1.8t gls with tip the other weekend when we went to the cottage and I got a strange message in the dash that first said STOP in big letters then Oil Press Stop Engine then Service Manual. So I immediately stopped the car. Checked the oil, it was completely full, looked around didn't see any oil on the bay so I called my cousin and he said its been doing that for a while and sometimes it says Brake Failure and I could keep driving no problem. On the drive home (3 hours) this was happening nonstop.
