New MY2013 SE w/Appearance Package purchased Oct. 2012. Earlier this year the fuel filler door would sometimes stick closed; progressively got worse to where it would not open. Replaced under warranty.
Now starting to stick again and I expect it to worsen. Going back in this week for a warranty replacement fuel filler door.
Yesterday went to fill up and the push feature on the fuel door would not open it. The door would pop out about 1/4 inch and would not release open even with a forceful tug. Played with it for some time pushing and couldn't get it to release. I actually left the gas station with no fuel. when I got home it worked fine so back to the gas station. Never had this Issue before and I go through fuel like its my job.
View 6 RepliesWell, I suppose my '09 is starting to show its years. Stopped to fuel the other day, opened the fuel filler door, and it wouldn't remain all the way open. Get done, try to close it, and it won't close all the way either. I'm wondering if there are springs in the arm and one has failed/fractured?
View 2 RepliesSo I was heading to the airport and needed gas and was in a bit of a hurry to get my flight. I pressed on the gas door as usual expecting it to pop open a bit it didn't! It only pressed in more but did not pop out. I started to panic as I was low on gas and did not have a lot of time to get my flight. I looked in the trunk for some type of emergency release but did not see anything.
I locked and unlocked my door a few times in the hopes it would release somehow but it did not change and I did not notice the usual click from the gas door area. Finally I was able to force the door open with my fingers and get gas. Now when closing the door again it does not sit flush but is sitting in a slightly open position. I'm scared to mess with it more in case it locks shut again and I can't get gas.
I'm shocked this part would stop working the car is only two years old, 2013 with luxury package.
The door handle isn't broken as far as I can tell, I just went to get in the car one day, put the key in the door lock, turned it to the right like I always do and the door wouldn't open. After trying a few times I went to the passenger side and got in, hit the unlock button to unlock all the doors and the driver door still wouldn't open. I took the trim piece off (the little piece that covers the door lock) the inside of the door and attempted to manually unlock the door by pulling the rod but to no avail.
What I should do next? It seems like I would have to have the door open to get whole inside door panel off so I'm not really sure what to do.

So maybe it is just my incompetence on this.... however, I was putting my second tank of gas in the 2016 and the Fuel Filler door will not shut...
Not only that but since the door will not shut, on my dash screen it keeps saying "Refill Ready" every 5-10 seconds.
Have a '93 Aerostar that had something roll up against inside sliding side door and must have nudged it out of alignment. Broke off outside door handle, took off inside panel and tried prying, pushing, kicking and pulling rods, handle, linkage and anything I could get at. Any way to get it open, so I can re-align the catch mechanism??? I have tried everything I could to "muscle it" open....
View 14 RepliesWe have a 2007 Hyundai Sonata Limited Edition. The problem started when the rear diver side door window stopped working. we took apart the door and saw that the cable was all twisted. We found the part at a junkyard and replaced it. Window worked. We closed the door and didn't think twice. A few hours later we tried to open the door and it's stuck. Both inside and outside handles move but nothing happens. The door won't open at all, what to do. We obviously can't get the door off without it opening. What may be causing this??
View 2 RepliesIt seems mine does open every time you press the button. You can hear some kind of motor noise but it not as loud has the noise it does make when it does open. Its intermittent .
Do you get at it from the truck? What is the Part number for a 1998 Passat?
The door ejar light stays on, on my moms 02 passat. I checked the latch to see if it opens and closes all the way, the light is still on when the door is closed all the way (it sits flush with the rear door) and there is a small whistle once in a while when driving. and sometimes, she says, the luggage compartment light comes on like the trunk is open but its closed.
View 10 RepliesOn a roadtrip, went to fuel up and when I was done... the fuel door would not pull itself closed. I pushed on it, whatever spring or band was there pulling it closed is no longer functioning. 37500 miles on an '09. This really bothers me because of the no fuel cap design. Will have to take it to the dealer when I get home and find out what's the solution.

At first it seemed like the back tank was siphoning from the front tank. Now I have fuel coming out of my front tank filler neck. When I open the back tank gas cap, there is enough pressure to spray me with gasoline. I am not familiar with the fuel delivery system of my truck ...
View 2 RepliesI recently purchased a used 1999 F250 Super Duty with about 150k miles on it. The truck runs great and I have no complaints but there are a few things that need to be taken care of. It looks like there is a very small fuel leak where the filler neck ties into the rubber hose that runs into the fuel tank. There is a thin film of diesel along the side of the tank, on the leaf spring, the air bag and various other places. Nothing is dripping. I want to drop the tank and replace the hose. The Haynes manual says to depressurize the whole fuel system--is this really necessary if I don't plan on doing anything to the system aside from dropping the tank?

View 10 RepliesThis seems to happen a lot when it gets really cold out. Started happening a few weeks ago. Sometimes if I notice the light starts to flicker on, at a stoplight I'll open the door, push down the rubber button that triggers the light, and shut the door. It'll usually stay off for a little bit.
I noticed that there's a little dent on the door where it presses against the button, and I'm wondering if that's a possible reason why this issue is happening.

I recently bought a brand new Toyota Camry LE 2014.5 and yesterday I noticed that the Fuel Filler Neck is very loose. It is so loose that I can move it using my little finger. Is this normal Or should I take it to the dealership? The car has 300 Miles on the odometer and yesterday was the first time that I filled it with gas.
View 8 RepliesSo I am having a huge problem getting mats that will fit. I ordered the 2012 Husky mats in gray about 2-3 weeks ago and received them a couple days later to find out the driver side mat did not fit due to the fuel filler handle cutout not being on the mat. So I contacted streetside and they offered to replace no problem. shipped them back, 1 week later get the 2nd set of mats, go to throw them in a before I even put them in I see the cutout isn't even there. Contacted streetside again and they tried to tell me they should fit. So I told them they didn't and if they can't supply me with the correct mats then I want the weathertech for the same price because I know they make these mats to fit the 2012. So I sent a picture of what I received and the picture on husky website which shows the cutout and they obviously had to replace them. The customer service manager contacted me this morning and says that Husky will be contacting me to get them replaced. Mind you the Model number on the box is the correct model number from the streetside website and the husky website for the 2012 model year. I'm extremely disappointed with this issue, how do the wrong mats come in the correct box 2 times.
View 3 RepliesThe fuel filler neck on my truck is very rusted. I'm very concerned because if it gets a hole in it I think I wouldn't be able to put gas in the tank. It's completely exposed to anything that the tire throws at it. Is there any way to protect it?
View 4 RepliesAfter my accident this summer with the Ex and TT, I have a fuel leak. It appears to be coming from the hoses between the filler neck and tank.
The part # from Ford for the neck and hoses is YC3Z-9034-AA. This part is no longer available! Even NAPA the go to place and pay thru the nose for shows it as obsolete from their vendor.
I am seeing RED at this since I had zero leaks until the body shop dropped the tank to replace the hitch. The BS and INS co told me prove it was not a dry rotted house and they would pay for it. What to do for the hoses?
