I have a 2013 VW Passat TDI SE DSG and I was trying to do some tweaks. I found this fault code yesterday and cleared it. I scanned it again this morning and it popped up again. I searched and did not foud anything. No check engine light.

The code the R threw was p0606 which is the Powertrain/ Engine control module? Where these components are in my R? Or how I can go about trouble shooting this problem?

Has scanned the car while had the airbag fault present and if so, is this the usual harness that needs to be changed?
I have just replaced the abs ecu and have cleared the codes, thought all was gonna be good but now two code are still coming up they are:
01044 Transmission control module - incorrectly coded
00778 Steering angle sensor-G85
What could cause code P0607 - Control Module Performance?
Truck seems to be driving fine (except it just recently developed what I think is either the cam phaser tick or an exhaust manifold leak on the passenger side).
I haven't tried clearing the code to see if it comes back. This is on a 2006 F150 FX4 with the 5.4L...
EPC light coming on intermittently on the morning causing loss of traction control and cruise control, occurred 4 times in 6 months. No fault code logged in, no CEL in dashboard. The dealer checked for logged codes, none. Also had one time the low coolant level display in dash all during one ride to work (30 km) the coolant tank was full and even if I was cycling the ignition switch it was still displaying it. Back from work it was disappeared and never came back on. all EPC light coming on at morning, and ok when coming back from work 9 hours later. Any clue on this?

I have an 04 V6, yesterday it was perfectly fine...last night we had torrential down pours, high winds and standing water... not sure if any of that matters, but this morning I went to take the kids to school and my "BRAKE" light, the ABS light, and the exhaust lights were all on. Took it to a local shop and had them check for codes. They said it was U0121... lost communication with ABS module. What should I do? I drove it a couple of miles back to the house and again earlier this evening to see if anything felt different, but all seems the same.
View 2 RepliesI own a 2014 F-150 XLT 3.5 L 6 cyl Twin. Saturday afternoon I tried to start the truck once and it didn't start like it normally does. It started on the second try, but the A/C didn't work and I got a "Starting System Fault" warning on my screen. When I shut the truck off, it would not start at all. All the lights and gauges worked, just no start.
Had to tow it to Ford Dealer, where the service department had already closed for the day (of course). Today it was determined by the service department that the Body Control Module had malfunctioned. I was told that the tech tapped on the control module and the truck started. Now waiting two days for a replacement part to come in. Luckily, I'm just under 36K miles and three years. Is this a common occurrence?
How to fix SES P0670?? I understand there's a whole procedure on checking fault.
P0670:GPCM Glow plug control module control line failure. Open/grounded circuit, open/shorted GPCM, failed PCM
But how did you resolve problem? replaced GPCM, found open circuit, short --if so where?-- or replaced with updated harness.

Check engine light is on and my code reader is giving me a P0000 code that is not listed in the Bentley's list of OBD II codes. My nose is telling me it's emissions related as the exhaust smells too rich. And the car is nearly stalling at idle. Suspect #1 is the MAF but the OBD II code does not support this.

This is a 2008 Prius with no check engine light or other operational issues. The car runs fine. When doing a health check with a Techstream scanner (new toy), it shows the code U0073 along with U0123, 124, 126, and 293. Need to further diagnose what may be wrong?
View 7 RepliesJust got a check engine light last night. Pulled the code and got a P202a fault. Some digging indicates its the Ad-Blue tank heater module. TDI forum indicates its anywhere from $850 to 1K to fix. Also that it's not covered under any extended warranty (now there's a shock!) The cars going back to VW so that's not happening.
Is this one of the conditions that will cause the car to go into limp mode at some point? I know that happens when the ad-blue runs low. I'm in Florida so the heater isn't really a big deal. I need to use it another couple of months and I don't want to have this thing leave me stranded. If I have to I'll park it.
Had I to break into my gas cap, replacing the module? is it ok to buy a used one? My door locks quit working too. the same module right?

View 2 RepliesI have a problem with the Bold-Sport camera, but am not sure if it is the radio, the camera, or even possibly a fuse. I get a fault code with vcds that says the rvc control module intermittent/no signal. Once I clear the code, and put my car in reverse with the headlights on, the camera does not work, or works for a second, and shuts off. If i turn the exterior lights off, the camera seems to function normally. As soon as I turn exterior lights back on, camera no longer displays again. I have been having some problems with the rns-510, so am assuming it could be the radio, but am not too sure. The problem I have with the radio is that sometimes not all the interior light hard buttons light up. I will post up a pic as soon as I can.

View 2 RepliesI have a 2002 7.3L and keep throwing a P0683 code (Glow Plug control module to PCm comm circuit). I have looked though all the Forum posts I could and it looks like the GPR, or the GPCM, or harness are at fault. I know my truck has the GPCM ... does it also have a GPR? I am not getting ANY individual GP failure codes, but the damn thing is having a hell of a time starting in the cold.
1) How do I determine if the GPCM is bad?
2) If I have a bad ground?
3) Bad connector to GPCM connection?
4) If something is wrong with the wiring harness itself
Last night I unplugged the harness from the GPCM, cleaned the connectors, added di-electric grease to improve the connections .. made no difference.
I own a 1997 Passat VR6, dealership scanned and found that cruise control module needs to be replaced, but I want to do it on my own!! What is the location of the CC module.
