I am having a problem with my rental passat, its a 2013 with 860miles and the seat lever that makes the seat recline broke and now the seat wont return to normal sitting position, its laid out almost flat. How to fix this? I am guessing there is a wire in there somewhere that will release it ...

View 5 RepliesThe steel lever that you use to recline the driver seat broke on my explorer the other day. Luckily the seat is stuck in a pretty comfortable position - for me at least. The lever broke right at the pin that holds it to the seat.
View 6 RepliesAny trick? I folded down the larger (driver's side) middle seat to get a large payload in...now it won't pop back up...no matter how much lever pushing and seat-yanking I do. It's a 2001 Limited.
View 14 RepliesI have an 03 f250 6.0 150k milage and lately my A/C has not been working at its best. Its intermittent, and for some reason it will work fine until i get on the highway and it just blows hot air. Would this be a leak or clutch issue? One thing I have noticed if my oil/coolant is above 200 the A/C will blow hot air but not return to cold when the temperatures return to normal. I haven't done any trouble shooting so my first thing ill check are the fuses. As far as the compressor goes its an alien object to me I have never had A/C issues with any vehicle i have owned.
View 6 RepliesThe middle sliding seat has jammed and I cannot get it back into the regular sitting position. I don't see any obvious obstructions, but there are a couple of springs not attached, and I may be missing a connecting rod.
Any pictures of how a "normal" mechanism should look like?
Just started today my turn signal is acting weired. No matter which side I signal, it will, once in a while that does not have the "tick-tick-tick" sound and the signal light not function while the lever is still in the "turning" position.
View 9 RepliesI have a 2008 toyora prius with 75423mi on it, was purchased with 70000mi two or three months ago. I have had no problems with this vehicle until recently. Being a prius newbie, I decided to ask here. When sitting parked on a slight slope earlier with the car running, radio running, and phone plugged in for an extended amount of time, I received an error on my display stating smething along the lines of "there is an abnormality with the p transmission mechanism, please part the car on a flat surface and engage the parking break completely" paired with a red triangle on the dash. I immediately moved the car to flat ground and engaged the parking break. The car turns one, shifts fine, and acts just as normal as prior. Is there anything I should be worried about? The car is still under toyota warrenty and is due an oil change now. Any clue what the cause of this was and if it will be reoccuring?

View 1 RepliesHave a 2013 Passat Tdi. It seems that sometimes when i accelerate the car doesn't move it has a flat spot as if the transmission is trying to catch a gear. I know this might sound minor to some folks. However on several occasions I've pulled out into oncoming traffic not expecting it to have a flat spot in the car not moving at all. What's up with this?
On the highway no problem and normal acceleration no problem but if you're going from a stop or pulling away from a intersection seems that happen more so than I would like.
So I have a broken seat latch on the right side. I can't get the seat to go down because the handle comes out as a whole. Also when I look deeper, the white plastic piece that appears to be associated with it is also broken. How can I unlatch the seats to fold them down?
View 4 RepliesI have just bought a camry-LE 2010 that has high millage on it which is 120,000mi. when i tested the car, it seemed fine but after long drive I discoverer something. When i am driving at speed 45 - 50 and stabilize the pressing of the accelerator, I feel the car shaking for few second then return back to its normal mode . I do not why I feel something wrong with the engine.

View 9 RepliesThe "60" portion of my 60/40 rear seat will not go back to the regular seat back position. I have been told by a local VW dealership that the center seat belt mechinism is locked and is preventing the seat back from going back up.
View 1 RepliesI noticed this problem day as I was out and about, as I come out of a medium to hard turn (at least one wheel rotation) my wheel doesn't want to return fully to the center position. The wheel starts to slow down about half a turn in either position and I need to get it around the quarter turn position. I don't have to force it much, it feels more turning the wheel while in park.
I has winter tires put on in December and the mechanic told me they couldn't do an alignment because one of my rear coils was broken (planning on getting that fixed myself once I get a weekend where it's not at or below 0 outside) and my front ball-joints (I think that's what they said) was loose and that the front joint didn't need to be looked at immediately, but by spring should be replaced.
That front joint is what's giving me problems? Or is it something else?
Ok, my shift lever is broken where the OD button is located. Not the cap and button, the whole end of the lever has snapped off.
View 5 RepliesToday, I just picked up my 2014 prius. Basically, when I do a right/left turn on the car, when accelerating out of the turn, the steering wheel does not fully return to the center position (its approximately in the one/eleven o'clock position). Also, if I leave the wheel straight, and drive straight, the car will drive straight and not pull towards the side so I don't think its an alignment issue. I'm not sure if this is normal, or if its happening just because they car is new or just because I'm not accelerating hard enough out of the turn (I always stayed in the eco range with the HSI. )
View 5 RepliesHave this problem? 500 miles out of warranty and my trunk release lever is broken. The button on the remote still works, but the lever on the floor has no tension on it. It feels like the cable either broke or is no longer attached to the lever.
View 12 RepliesWhen I turn off the wiper blades on my 1997 Toyota Camry they do not return to the home or lowest position. They stop at whatever spot they happen to be. The wipers work OK on both slow speed and fast speed. Also the intermittent function is no longer working. In this position the wiper blades operate cintinually in the slow speed. What could be the causing this problem? Could it be the wiper switch on the steering column, the wiper motor, or some other component such as a fuse or relay?
View 5 RepliesHave a 95 aero E4wd. Have replace driver side cv axle and drove about 8 miles then the outer joint broke. Had mech change cv axle and drove about 2 miles and the inside broke.. Same mech replace it and drove 3 mile and heard like rubber on metal like a flat tire. The cv axle did not break and won't turn when in gear. Back to shop with aero. Lifted on lift and jacked up front and rear. Turned the driver side and the passenger turned with it also it turned easy. Started it up and placed in gear, all were rotation except driver side , it was hung up. What should be fixed on diff?
