Upgraded my radio, which came in with built in bluetooth. The new radio works fine but now both the factory one and the aftermarket one are transmitting signals. How do I disable/uninstall the factory bluetooth source that shows up as "VW PHONE" ?

View 7 RepliesI've got a 04 Passat TDI wagon with factory keyless locks. The remote/keyless entry range sucks! And yes I put a new battery in it. I've had cheapo alarms operate much further than this factory system. Can I extend the range somehow? Does the keyless transmit through the antenna? Are there any range boosters or ways to make this a real world usable feature?
View 1 Repliesthis is something that has bothered me since i bought the car but never bothered to figure out. but its really beginning to get under my skin. so i have all factory OEM bixenons, unsure if the bulbs have ever been replaced. its a 2008 with almost 95k miles now, and did have DRLs enabled when i bought it. when driving my wifes A4 with OEM bixenons, the light output compared to my b6 is insane. its almost as if im driving with corrado headlights in my B6 compared to her A4. i also had the opportunity to drive my father for his birthday last night in his '10 535 and his OEM HIDs are about the same as my wifes A4. somethings wrong here and id really love to figure this out! is it time to replace the bulbs? this is my first car with HIDs, do these 'wear out' over time and get duller as time goes on? really trying to avoid taking the bumper off for a headlight bulb change but i guess theres no way around it.
View 11 RepliesHave a factory touch screen radio (not sure which one it is) no Navi, but its a 2010 Passat, mine sounds like crap, especially when playing though an IPOD. Put the same music on an SD card and it sounded much better. I literally have only had the car less than a week, and am contemplating going and taking out all the speakers and replacing them with aftermarket stuff.

The problem I have is the access cover to the bulb cant be removed so I need to know if the bumper and lamps need to be removed?
I got a OEM GPS,TV,DVD,BLUETOOTH, iPod controller ALL-IN-ONE device and donot know how to install. My car is 07 passat and I read a thread showing 2006 Passat Radio Removal Write-Up... If I wanna go further, what else I have to remove so that I can do more wiring jobs.
View 5 RepliesIt will sync for about 10-30 seconds, then the car's Bluetooth just shuts off. It's not my phone, as the BT on my phone is working with everything else. I have unpaired, re-paired, shut everything down. It starts up again for that 10-30 seconds, and then it shuts off. Do I need to take it to the dealer?
View 3 RepliesMy Bluetooth was causing crackling and dropping of audio. I couldn't figure out what was causing it. Eventually I made the connection: the brakes. Every time I braked, the Bluetooth would crackle and drop (but not disconnect).
I purchase car a month ago certified from a Toyota dealer.
We just traded in our 91 passat for a 2004 passat. I am trying to program the factory garage door opener that is on the drivers side sun visor. I have read the manaul and cannot get it to program to my door. I tried holding down buttons 1&3 untill it flashes, Then hold down #1 Button and then the "learn" button on the opener (at the same time) then the remote will flah slow then fast when it has the code. Is it possable it will not work with a 6 year old Chraftsman opener?

View 4 RepliesI have a 5 month old 2013 I4 SE with NAV and Apps. My Galaxy SII has been working fine with it since day one; however, when I got in it today and tried to make a call, it said Bluetooth not connected. I went to setup, and clicked on the bluetooth button. The next screen has an unchecked box beside "Bluetooth OFF", and all of the options following were 'greyed out' and not accessible. Is this a malfunction , or did I inadvertently do something that I shouldn't have done? I have tried everything I can think of, and nothing changes.

Can't and don't want to load them all. I can't figure out how to load or create a contact without using my bluetooth phone.
View 1 RepliesI have a 2014.5 Camry SE but I'm having a few issues that I'd like to address.
My issue is, when I hook up the phone to the car's bluetooth, the car does not let me switch songs or pause/play from the car's audio system, the only thing I can do from the steering wheel or audio interface is fast forward or rewind the song but not skip the track or pause.
My second issue so far is that I can't seem to find how to set the car to turn on the map lights when the doors open. I checked the manual and it tells me that there's a switch to flip, like the dome lights in the back, right next to the map lights but there is no switch and therefore no visible way to change this. I've gone through the settings of the vehicle and I've gone to the light settings but there is nothing in the settings about it.
So my 2012 camry with the touchscreen head unit connects to my phone just fine. It streams my music just fine as well. I however hate my phone calls, texts, etc coming through the car. After my phone connects to the car, I can go to the bluetooth menu and tell it to disconnect for phone and that takes care of it for that drive. But every time I get in the car I have to break that connection.
View 3 RepliesI started using the Bluetooth connection to stream pandora over using entune lately because entune seems to take forever to start up and I just start pandora with Siri and turn to the Bluetooth input on my head unit. This worked good for a few weeks and now all the sudden it doesn't have sound.. The screen shows what song is playing and I can use my steering wheel controls to skip songs and it shows the progress bar of the song duration progressing but no sound? I have not tried it thru the entune app since this started happening so I am not sure if it works that way recently(I'm usually drivig and don't want to fumble around turning on hotspot to connect to entune).

On screen button it showing off when I touch the screen to turn on it do nothing.
