Looking for the instructions to increase the volatge on the 2012 passat headlights
I have the Vag Con cable.
So sometimes my front drivers headlight and drivers taillight decides not to work. Sometimes one will work and the other wont and other times they all will be working fine. I've checked the fuses and the bulbs and they both are fine.
View 10 Replies2014 Prius V. Voltage on headlights 14. 63 volts. This reading is from of the low beam headlights. What could be causing this problem.
View 7 RepliesI have a crack in the driver side taillight in my 2003 VW passat GLX wagon. I opened the panel in the rear where the audio amplifier seems to be located. I can find 3 nuts to remove for the taillight and that seems to have loosened up the assembly. There seems to be a fourth fastening point. However, I can't find it. I can't seem to remove the black amplifier rack to get a better view.
View 1 RepliesI got a "Bulb Out" warning but all the bulbs were working...so I go inspect all the lights on the wagon and notice the taillight is melted and falling apart on the inside! Wtf?? Ugh...!! I've never had something like this before. Is this common? The light still works but its all melted on the inside and the plastic ring on the inside is falling down.... Quick pic...
View 9 RepliesI need to replace my passenger side tailight assembly due to moisture inside of it. Is it hard to take the assembly apart? If it is not hard than how do i do it. I already know that i have to go into the compartment in the back of my 02 1.8 wagon, but from there what do i need to do?
View 4 Replies2008 Wagin .... Specifically, how do I remove the reflector plate that hides the bolt?
View 3 RepliesI'm just curious...if somebody drives a PHV Prius like a regular Prius (not using the 13 mile pure EV mode range), could they theoretically get better gas mileage by staying in the electric part of the hybrid system indicator?
View 19 RepliesTypically after I use AC for most of the available battery capacity in EV mode, then following a charge, estimated EV range typically drifts higher.
View 19 RepliesAfter not driving the car for over a week, the battery was dead and I discovered that I had not fully shut the trunk. I hooked up a charger/maintainer with the battery still installed in the car and it has been on for 48+ hours and it still shows as charging. I have several of the chargers and use them on other cars/motorcycles where they work as expected. I've never had one take this long to indicate charged.
I'm sure others are using maintainers and wondering if it is normal that the charger does not indicate full charge. Voltage with charger running is ~14.7 and ~13.7 unhooked. I believe it is a 4a charger.
What is normal voltage when fully charged and what is minimum voltage to crank starter?
Should have measured the voltage before hooking up the charger to know low it was......
What kind of mpg increase one would see if they were to increase the tire pressures from recommended (35 F/33 R psi) to max (44 F/ 42 R). Any stats of tracked?
View 1 RepliesSo i just recently purchased my 2012 Toyota Camry SE V6 about a month ago. At first everything is great which it STILL is but lately I've discovered that I'm hearing a weird & SERIOUSLY IRRITATING noise/sound/rattle! Every time I drive between 10mph-40mph and it gets rapidly fast as I increase speed.. thats the RATTLE noise. I did my research and it said it can be a loose bolt or a loose heat shield underneath but I'd like some advice from Toyota Nation. Also when i make a slight turn I hear a weird clunking or some weird unexplainable noise. All in all this car is awesome .. smooth/FAST/comfy seats for me/agile/great on gas compared to my 2011 Camry 4 cylinder I had ..
View 4 RepliesNo interior lights work, so I checked the fuse # 14 according to the manual. Fuse is good, and the hot side of the fuse socket has 12+ volts. I pulled down the main interior light switch that's housed with the sunroof switch, and there's no voltage there at all.
View 1 RepliesWhat might be causing this transmission fault code?...It is the only one I get and makes it unable to see what gear I'm in when using the tiptronic mode. I can clear the code while I'm driving and it will be ok until I turn the car off then again it comes back up. Car is a 2002 Passat GLX 4 motion
View 1 RepliesI had this problem for a while. My radio is always on when I stop the engine in my 2008 Passat. But lately, the next day when I started the car the radio was sometimes off.
Well, apparently the random turn off was an indicator that my battery was slowly getting bad and not holding a full charge. Yesterday my engine light came on and when I took the car to the service department they found out that the error code was triggered by low voltage.
At the end, they changed the battery. This is the first time I am changing the battery on this car since I got it in 2008. So 5 years on single battery is pretty good I assume.
I have a 2006 VW Passat 2.0T 6spd and it has the electronic rear parking brake with auto-hold. Recently needed rear brake pads, but hadnt had the 3 updates for the system, so i could not retract the e-brake through the computer. Got the update done, got the car back with two codes that i cannot get cleared:
53 - Parking Brake
02433: Supply voltage for right parking brake motor (sporadic) - V283
01087: Basic setting not carried out (sporadic)
Every time the codes are cleared, they come back immediately, therefore the scanner will not allow me to operate the system and do the brake job. I am using the Launch x-431 scanner with a vag-com emulator, so there should be no equipment problems if there is anything i can do. Is there an adaptation or relearn that needs to be carried out for the caliper?
I installed HID for Headlight in my Accent, after few weeks it builds moist inside the headlight. How to clean it?
View 4 RepliesHeadlight switch failure. '12 SEL with factory HID. While in the "Auto" mode during broad daylight, headlights will start to flash on and off. VAGCOM revealed a fault code to the headlight switch. Dealer has already replaced it once and it started again within a few days.
View 6 RepliesUnfortunately my HID bulb wasn't secure in the headlight assembly and melted the part that holds the bulb in place in the headlight assembly.
My question is if that part that retains the bulb is replaceable or I will need to replace the whole head light assembly? ( The wire connector is fine.)
If the part is replaceable, What is the name or part #...
I have the 2012 Touareg with adaptive head and LED accent lights. I have observed that when the road has sharp bumps and you are going slow enough to observe your light pattern on the ground, the lights, the LEDs I believe, appear to be "Jiggling". I realize there must be a more technical term for it but I would think from the oncoming traffic the appearance would be reminiscent of the old motorcycle light heads that were never very tight and would appear to bounce or "Jiggle" up and down as they approached. The dealership says they all do it and it is because the LEDS are mounted in plastic and the plastic is vibrating.
View 2 RepliesSo I bought two tail lights there good it's just on one of the taillights all the thread to secure them in are broken off. So i have no way of getting it to stay. The trunk is the only thing holding it together. I have a 2004 vw golf.
