I have a 2012 passat se and the airbag error light came on, after it did all the buttons on the steering wheel and the horn stopped working. How is the best way to fix this?
View 4 RepliesWell, I recently had the "Airbag Fault" error message (along with the wonderful amber airbag light) both appear on my dash, and oddly enough, I haven't hit anything or bumped anything or done anything that could cause this error. I drive a 2001 VW 1.8T and she only has 48,000 miles on her.

The Air Bag light went off unexpectedly. I bought the car new, no accidents. I know there is a clock spring recall related to the Air Bag on the car, so I took it in today to get that done and get the Air Bag light inspected.
I went to a stereo shop to have all my doors covered with DynaMat. They did a great job there but now I have an airbag error. How do I reset this? I do have a VCDS cable. I know it was because the battery was not unplugged before the door trim was removed so I'm not that worried, just wondering if VCDS can take care of it or I MUST go to the dealer.
My other issue are the interior lights. I had them all replaced with LED bulbs and when I left the shop I turned the map lights on and all was good. I left the shop to put some fuel in and when I started the car again I had no lights. Now NONE of my interior lights go on. What Happened? I've seen plenty of people with LED bulbs in their cars so I didn't think anything could go wrong? Do I just go back to the stock bulbs?
After installing the new head unit in my 06 Passat 2.0T, the "Airbag Fault" error appears on the MFD upon startup and the airbag light on the gauge stays on.

00592-seatbelt switch:right (e25) 32-00-resistance too high.
What I need to do to fix this and make the light go away?
Well, I bought a used 2003 Escape for my daughter and without thoroughly researching the airbag light, now have a problem. The light flashes twice, pause, then once, so I think this is error code 21? I cannot find anything on what this code is and how to fix it. I disconnected battery for an hour and now I get 4 flashes, pause, 6 flashes, 46 error.
View 1 RepliesI had been having battery issues with my 97 ford f150 4.6 liter for the longest time, thought i had a short under dash, i pulled entire dash out, disconnecting bat first of course, and inspected all wiring harness connections and fixing my issues and putting it all back together. now with new bat and all put back together i am now getting the airbag light flashing 5 times then 2 times (error code 52) i know it has some thing to do with power failure or backup battery, but now with the new battery in i cant seem to get it to reset. How to do this?

One thing I noticed is that even when I am driving by myself the yellow passenger airbag off light is always illuminated. Is this normal? I couldn't find anything in the settings. I would think it should flash a couple times then turn off.

View 8 RepliesThe "airbag on" indicator light on the dash in front of the passenger seat is lit whenever an adult (haven't driven with a child yet) is in the seat. My passenger (wife) finds the light obnoxious to have to look at, and I can't blame her. The customization section of the user manual doesn't seem to address this

View 11 RepliesOne day I started my car and all of the lights came on and stayed on(ABS, Brake, airbag, seatbelt, exclamation point, etc). The next day only the airbag light stayed on. Then, the radio would change stations on its own. I told myself it was some kind of electrical problem and took it to the dealer. The person at the dealer assigned to me kept it two days and I got it back. The next day the airbag light came on again and stayed on. The radio started changing stations on it own again. I took it back to the dealer. He said the air conditioner hose got clogged by a huge spiderweb and other debris. He said he had a factory representative there and the problem was not a factory defect and would not be covered by my warranty. The total airbag system needs to be replaced and the electrical system. What should I do?
View 3 RepliesI've got a bit of a weird problem with my 2012 F150 XLT Supercab w/ 5.0 and 4x4. My airbag light flashes on once ignition is in the "ON" position then turns off and back on making it code 1-1 I believe but, I cannot for the life of me, find anything about this. Also, for some reason it only happens when it's above 66 degrees outside, the temperature barely gets above that until this time of year and as soon as I take it anywhere they pull it into their shop, which is cooler than outside, and the code disappears. I would like to see if I can solve this first without doing taking it to a dealer and have a huge bill. I checked all of the cables under the seats, the fuses, the battery and the airbag module under the center console and I cannot find anything that seems loose.
View 5 RepliesI got a 2012 Hyundai Accent SE manual 112000 mostly highway miles. For a month now I am getting the MIL on and P2191 code (System too lean at higher load bank1) after erasing the code it appeared again in 3-4 days. I replaced air filter check all valves and vacuum in air flow, changed to premium gas. Pipe that connected to the valve from EVAP system looks not damaged and valve works as intended. While changing spark plugs I noticed that all of them were quite charred. I am thinking to replace both O2 up/down stream sensors. Which not OEM sensors would be the best match for my Accent?

View 2 RepliesI received an Air bag Fault and Parking Break Fault yesterday when I started the car. Found my (drivers) belt latch sensor wiring was buggered so I fixed that. I don't know if that was the technical name for it, but it was the wiring from the receiving latch to the connector. The parking break fault went away so my guess is that short pissed it off. But who knows, it could be unrelated.
However, the air bag fault will not go away. I thought by fixing that it would vanish, but I guess not.
I have found that the light goes out for a moment and then reappears when the "passenger air bag off" light comes on. The other day, it thought my wife was still in the seat after she got out so I'm guessing the passenger seat wiring is the culprit.
I don't have a VAG-COM so the above detail is all I have. I really don't want to go to the dealer, but do I have a choice?
Came on while i was driving on the highway, i pulled into a rest stop turned my car off gave it a minute. drove it again and it came on after like 10 seconds.pulled off the next exit, turned it on gave it a minute again and i haven't gotten it on since. this was two days ago.
View 8 RepliesI have VW 99 18L automatic Passat. Suddenly, air bag yellow warning light is ON . There has been no accident or crash. Maybe its caz I pulled the seat-belt too roughly, or maybe there is something else to the story. I don't have a scanner. I don't want to go to a dealer/showroom to get the airbags replaced.
