Passat (B7) :: 2012 / 2.5L - Water In Oil?

Mar 29, 2015

As it just began to warm up, I decided to take a look under the hood to see how the oil's doing. I changed it 3k miles ago in Sept. I was shocked to find that water has found its way into the Oil system - I see sludge (getting that when water mixes with oil) -- What do I do? I've always had the oil changed at the VW dealer. What would cause this?

Passat (B7) :: 2012 - Water Leakage But No Hole Found

We have water leak issues for close to a year now, very frustrating. Not heard much of B7s leaking so I thought I'd stop in here and check it out. Great car to drive, only other issue we've had was the cold weather inactive drivers door lock as seen by many others.

Passat (B7) :: Water On Windows When Rolled Down / Up - Doors Holding Onto A Bunch Of Water

It seems to be on all my doors making me think this is just how they are ...

Basically I put the dry window down and it comes back up covered in small water droplets. That's not a big concern by itself but if it's not just some random part like the weather sealing that stays damp and my doors are holding onto a bunch of water that has me worried.

Camry 2012+ :: Puddle Of Water Under Car In Garage

Just got home from grabbing a bite to eat and notice that there was a puddle of water sitting in the garage. I had it parked there for about 2 hours after coming from a three hour trip, but not once did I used the ac. The day before the car was outside in the rain. Is this normal for the Camry?

Golf VI R :: 2012 - Water Pump Explode?

So, i have a 2012 Golf R 2 DR. at 2,415 miles, driving normal on the way to work at about 42 MPH in 5th gear, i heard a "POP" then "THUNK THUNK THUNK" and the car died. Tow to the dealer, and apparently, "the water pump came apart and exploded sending a gear through the casing and into (and shredding) my timing belt..." new motor on order, should have the car back by the end of next week.

just letting everyone know, it seemed that the VW dealer here hasn't seen this yet. the car was built in march. thinking just a faulty water pump....

Camry 2012+ :: 2015 - Water Going Into Tail And Head Lights

I just purchased my camry 3 weeks ago and I noticed that water (from rain and car wash) is going into my tail light and head lights. Not a lot of water, just a little bit. Went to the dealership today and they said it's normal for all toyotas and it'll dry out by itself. Is this true?

Golf/GTI VI :: 2012 - Wind Noise And Water Leaking From Same Area

This is what my ticket reads, vehicle operating at manufacture standards. Tech road tested vehicle at highway speeds. Tech compared vehicle to demo vehicle. Demo vehicle was road tested at highway speeds. Both vehicles have exact same wind noise. I have also had water leak into the car from same area, for this they said the door seal is deformed & ordered a new one. The carpet in the back where the spare is located is also separating from the material it is glued to.

Camry 2012+ :: Water Under Front Passenger Side When Parked 2014.5

I have a brand new Camry SE 2014.5 and since day one, when ever I park the car and come back after a short while or when ever I start the car and keep it on for a while, it looses water under the front passenger side. Initially I thought it is the air condition but now I am afraid that there is something wrong with the coolant system. BTW: The temperature of the engine is always in the normal zone. The car is about 2 month and 1500 miles old. What it could be?

Passat (B7) :: 2013 SE - Water In Trunk Lid

On Tuesday evening we had some torrential downpours in my area. Yesterday when I went to open my trunk after work yesterday to collect my bag from work there was water coming from behind the plastic cover inside the trunk lid. I think I narrowed it down to the two tail lights that are installed in the trunk lid. The gasket on the passenger side looks deformed. Mine is a 2013 SE.

Passat (B5) :: 1998 - Water In The Cabin

Excellent forums. New to this but just picked up a 1998 Passat that had a few problems. Problem I am now looking to solve is water in the cabin. Some of it was getting in through ros door that was jammed shut because the bottom was full of glass and debris blocking the drain holes but there also appears to be some getting in the front. The glove box is a little damp. My guess is that it has something to do with the pollen filter seal that I have read of. Can't find any advise re this or a recall (P9) that is referred to.

Need to then fix the exhaust that is blowing, clean it up and I'll have a solid, reliable car ready for the winter.

Passat (B5) :: Trunk Water On Right Side?

I have water in my trunk. It seems to be more on the right side (the passenger side) but if it rains hard enough it gets all over the trunk. Because both of my key fobs have dead batteries I haven't gone into the trunk in about 2 weeks so now its all moist and smells like a dirty fishtank in there. I even had a small piece of plywood in there that is now warped and moldy. I've seen some threads that talk about a drainage tube that runs from the sunroof to the trunk? Where in the trunk would I find this drainage tube? That would turn me off VWs forever. Just when i thought the Passat was the best car I ever had. I was planning on having this car another 5 years.

Passat (B5) :: 2001 1.8t Overheating After New Water Pump

i just did a new timing belt water pump kit on a 2001 1.8t (aug engine code) the new pump has a metal impeller. i ran it in the drive way for mots of an hour off and on. figured it was good. took it for a drive and at 5 miles it overheated. Temp Went straight to 260 and stop light came on. coolant could be heard boiling in the system. when i let it idle and ran the heater i got the temp to go back down to 190. but after idling for couple minutes it started going back up. I don't think the stat is bad considering that the heater works which shows that the system is flowing.

Passat (B5) :: Water Leak (rear Or Front)

Just recently I discover that the carpet behind the driver seat was soaking wet. I lift the carpet, dried the best I could and now I am trying to determine if the water is making it's way from the the back (back door seal) or from the firewall area.

If the water from the firewall can make it's way to the rear of the car ? Seems to me that it's not from the firewall because floor under the driver's seat is deeper and does not seem to have a water puddle in there.... but the insulation under the carpet is wet....

Passat (B5) :: Area Under The Hood Filled-up With Water

I noticed that I was leaving a trail of water as pulled into the driveway. I thought it might be coolant, but it turns-out that an area under the hood had filled-up with water. It was the area right in front of the windshield, holding the battery. There was a pool of water there, as wide as the car, and about 6 inches deep! It came right up to the brake fluid reservoir. I assume that there's a drain hose from this area somewhere that's plugged?

Passat (B5) :: Spray Of Water That Came In From The Moon Roof

I was in the car wash the other day and got sprayed by a little bit of water that came in from the moon roof. When I went through the blower, I put may hand up and felt the air blowing in. Is there any way to adjust the unit so it closes or maybe replace the felt seal that is on the perimeter. Since I live in AZ, its not a a major deal, but it is annoying none the less. Let me know what you think.

Passat (B5) :: 1.8 Won't Crank After Water Filled The Floor

We got hit with some crazy rain about a month ago. My CCM was flooded and badly damaged, replaced it and it cranked a few times. had LOTS of frayed wires which I've cleaned up and replaced. unfortunately, I'm afraid that may have damaged the ecu.

Now I get a 17953 (throttle valve regulation malfunction) from vag-com. Would that problem keep the engine from turning over?

When I turn the key i get an obnoxious chime. I didn't get a response when i queried the immobilizer though i thought that might be the problem because when it was cranking, it would run less that 2 seconds then stop. Maybe still some bad wires, maybe a bad ecu, I'm not taking it to the dealer so it can just sit in the driveway and rot if it's not gonna run for me.
