Passat (B6) :: Fog Light Cracked Then Popped Out

first, it was a crack. then not too much later a pop. a piece of glass fell out of the cracked lens. water in the housing = blown bulb.
I love the info screen that tells me the right fog light is out!

but I HATE that when I went to my dealer to get a lens,
I learn that it's an enclosed fog light and it's $114.XX to replace?

Any leads on where I should be looking for a replacement for less?

Have a 2001 V6. Notice a check engine light popped on and thats the code I got. I do have a custom cat back exhaust. Left both cats on there just took out rear muffler and resonator and then put in glass pack. Wondering if this is something that is cause by the catback exhaust? I have had the exhaust on for some time, few hundred miles. How to replace this?

I thought nothing of the ESP light when I was driving home since it just snowed another foot and it was slippery. But, just got home and when I turned the car off I noticed the displays are staying illuminated with the keys out and doors shut. Not the center info display in red the small ones to the sides .. One is the odo/km display. Are these related ? I disconnected the battery since I have to sleep and don't want to wake up to a dead battery.

First, let me address existing issues with my VW 2000 Passat:
- My mechanic has told me that my turbo is slightly cracked and oil is dripping from it as I was not allowing my car to warm up/cool down after driving. He said that the damage done was not much, but I should allow my car to warm up/cool down from now. This was back in September/October, and I have been allowing 1 min- 1.5 mins for both warm up and cool down as I tend not to drive more than twenty miles in a single trip.
- While checking the oil level roughly two-three weeks ago, about 100-150mL worth of synthetic oil spilled into the the tube where the dipstick goes. No effects were noted in the next week.
Now, my problem is within the past week starting up my car has been a strange ordeal. Immediately upon ignition, until about 3-5 seconds after, the engine seems sluggish - similar to when the battery is low from leaving the lights on overnight, for example. However, the engine has had no problem actually starting. Once it starts it acts normal, but soon the engine makes wheezing noises as if gasping. Accompanying the noises is a strange alternation in my lights between full strength and a dim strength I have never encountered before. This wheezing, and the strange light effect, last for roughly 1 minute. This has all been consistent for the past week. While driving home after work today the CEL popped on.
It is worth noting that the last few weeks have been especially cold, with the temperatures at which I'm starting my car being from 5-18 degrees Fahrenheit.

I bought a 2000 Passat GLS w/ the V6 a couple weeks ago, and the very next day after buying it, the CEL came on and something popped on saying Emissions Workshop. I waited a couple weeks to see if it would turn off, but it didn't so I took it to a mechanic.
The first time, they just said a couple codes were off so they reset the computer. About 20 miles later, the lights came back on. I took it back and they hooked it up to their computer again.
They said the o2 sensors were perfect, and it was most likely some sort of resistance in one of my cats. The car runs absolutely perfect. I just wanted to get some feedback from ya'll because I do not want to pay the money to have a cat replaced if I don't have to.

Alright so, the oil pan in my 1999 Passat V6 cracked in about March, and then it cracked again today. I am wondering, is there suppose to be some sort of protective sheet that goes over the oil pan so that it's not just hanging out there to get mauled by any bumps in the road that come it's way.

Had a little accident with the '12 Passat and the front left side of the bumper popped out a little bit. I have very little experience working with the outer body of cars so I am a little bit hesitant about whether if I should just remove the entire bumper and readjust it, or is there a way that I can realign it without removing it entirely? Though I have no problem removing the bumper if needed.

Yesterday, I tried to use my rear window roll-up sun shade while parked in the hot sun, pulled gently up on the center bar, and the RHS clip ---which rides in the tracks along the C-pillars---cracked in half!
08 Passat Owners, the rear roll-up sun shade (NOT the rear door shades) on your car is very fragile! VW uses some kind of lexan plastic molded insert which fits into the tracks. Any out of plane stress on the fittings will damage them, rendering the entire shade useless. Luckily my dealer had a new fitting in stock and the repair was made in less than 10 minutes.

I'll be back to post the whole situation if the dealer doesn't make right on what I'm going through right now, but wanted to ask as I didn't find much searching, any issue with a cracked oil filter housing? I took car in for 30k service and came back leaking oil. Apparently part is back ordered and may take weeks. I spoke with ECS tuning and they said they don't have their aluminum filter housing yet for this model.

My passenger-side motor mount is cracked out. Is this a common failure? The aluminum part that connects the "frame" to the engine mount is cracked, the hydraulic rubber mount looks almost new, not sure how the previous owner missed the crack in the aluminum. Car has 140K miles on it. I'm thinking about just having it welded up.

So in the last 4 months, the GTi has lost about 1/4 of a quart of oil or less 3 times and the low oil light has popped up. Idk if I'm running her too hard too much but I can't find a leak. I'm taking off all mods and going to the dealership tomorrow but I have no faith in them, to be honest. I'm positive they are just gonna say they couldn't find an issue.

I had a little run in with a curb a few months back, nothing major, just came up and bit me, and the passenger side plastic grill covering the foglight popped out. Since then it's come compltely out, onto the street, twice, when my car bottoms out. Both times it's happened I've been going no more that 5-10mph and I don't even realize it's missing 'till I'm back in the driveway.
The car in the picture isn't mine, just something to show what I'm talking about. My 2001 passat wagon (v6 4motion) bottoms way too much. It's not even lowered.

So the flexpipe on my exhaust is cracked and completely broken, so my passat sounds like a Mack truck. I've been looking into getting it fixed and I've been told i need to buy an entire new down pipe. Should i attempt to just get it fixed or buy a new down pipe.

My lens on my city light popped off. It seems like I might be able to reach it and get it from the city light socket, but it'd be impossible to turn it around and stick it back. The next option would be to cut the headlights open. I'm about to just give up and let it sit there.
