I recently lowered one of my client's 2008 passat and since then the xeon headlamps are pointing way too low. I did the manual adjustment with the allen key screws but I'm at the maximum on the adjustment so I'm sure there is a way to compensate with recoding the motor. I have VagCom but I can't seem to do a recode. What is the procedure?

View 2 RepliesPast couple of days I've had a warning pop up for "Check lights" sometimes even before i have turned them on although I do have arrive depart set to activate. On looking around all seem to be OK apart from maybe 2 leds within the tail lights. It does seem to go out within a couple of mins of actually setting off as well so clearly somethings sorting itself out.... What to check next? they seem to be working fine, I can see them autolevel when I pull up behind a car and the car settles on its suspension etc.
View 6 RepliesI have finally installed HID, but I tend to think they pointed too low, or it is just my imagination. Need to change the level after installing HID? Second and most important Question, the thing is that after removing the + from Battery, I have reset the settings now car shows trouble codes for g85 I guess the steering column. That it is not calibrated right, the code applies for ABS and 44-Steering Assist, I might have messed up the options, but I strongly believe it might be fixed without dealership. When the car starts it shows, ESP off and steering column yellow all the time.

View 11 RepliesLast night I have noticed that my Bi-xenon are not working. I check fuses and both fuse 15 AMP were melted. I don't what happened but after I have replaced fuse still no light at all. BTW I'm thinking to replace ATF in my tranny. I did check post history and I couldn't find any post about this,
View 3 RepliesOk, so I pull into the garage tonite and it looks like the headlight is out (Passenger Xenon), I check. Yup. So, I turn the lights off and on and she comes back. Now, I have heard there is problems with the ignitor/etc with these lights. I am at 34,000 miles on the car. Is this covered under warranty or should I just make do with it. I suspect this has happened before as I had my coworker tell me my light was out before.

I Need info on drivers side bulb replacement , its a Xenon bulb and no where online have I found any info on this , only the standard h7 bulb is covered.
The problem I have is the access cover to the bulb cant be removed so I need to know if the bumper and lamps need to be removed?
The left Xenon lamp does not ignite. I change the lamp and it doesn't work. What is wrong??, the ballast??? In that case, what is the part number, or tell me where to find it The technician says that the module broken is the AFS Module. I think he is wrong. The faulty message in the car is "Luz de cruce del. izq. averiada" in somehow in English "Low beam left malfunction"...

View 6 RepliesPulling in to the underground car park at work this morning I noticed that my nearside Xenon has gone from a nice bright white colour, to a dirty pink. The offside is still shining brightly - does this mean the bulb is on it's way out, and if so how much is that going to cost!?!? The car will be 4 years old in October - does this seem a little premature - if it's not a failing bulb could it be something more sinister.

I don't believe that I've changed and settings but furious finger poking might have taken place as some point in the recent past. What has changed?
I'm suspecting that my motor mounts are going bad, but I'm not 100% sure. I have a video of the engine movement when slipping the clutch and revving the engine with the e-brake on. [URL]............................... I don't need high performance ones, but don't want to spend a ton on OEM ones either.
View 5 RepliesSo as the title states, rear sway install, no issues (so I thought ) go to test drive the car afterward, and the headlights go through the normal sweep, but, they don't come up and level out, instead, they are pointing 10ft in front of the car.
The test drive was otherwise flawless, the R responds well to swaybars, my Mk6 TDi did as well, I just have the rear H&R bar on the softer/street setting for now, but it makes a notable difference just on its own in the soft setting, I'm pleased.
Back to the issue now at hand, I researched and so far came up with there is a sensor on the drivers side LCA on the rear of the arm, and one on the rear subframe that has a push rod type arm (looks like a servo) attached to it and a bracket on the subframe, Is this correct? The sensor in the rear is intact, plugged in, and I traced the wire back to the wheel well and there is no evidence of a ground, pulled or severed wire. I have no scanning equipment and am leery of going to the dealer and letting them plug into the ECM for anything now that I am tuned, not really for warranty, more for I don't want to risk anything being corrupted or altered.
What does this icon mean? Maybe something about the gas tank cap or the gas cap door being open but that doesn't appear to be the case. The gas tank cap is tightly closed and the gas cap door is closed.
View 6 RepliesOk I keep blowing fuse #3 in the interior compartment. Let me preface this by saying I have my always-on power for my rear view mirror which is the display for my back up camera, pulled from a wire that is fed by this fuse. The camera is on reverse power only and it pulled from the reverse lights in the rear of the truck, but the always-on power is pulled from this location for the display. Doesn't matter if I have always-on power to camera if the display fuse it has blown and I am guessing the mirror power is the source of my problem.
The fuse controls the OBD and the cigarette lighter and it seems to blow every time I plug anything into that power port that is more serious than say a phone charge. When this fuse goes then my mirror display is down, and back up camera is mainly used for hitching up a trailer solo. My camera is pointed straight down at my hitch ball and it makes hitching up by myself very easy.
I have a volt meter but not sure where I need to test, and well what a bad number is when I do test it? The mirror instructions say to pull always on power under the dash and the right wires are attached, and the fuse rating matches, so don't think it's a too much being pulled issue. Maybe a bad connection or maybe a relay issue? I had this fuse blow several times before I had the power mirror but it's certainly gotten worse.
