Used to have the wipers move up or down about 1" at stop lights to reverse the blade and extend their life. Now, that doesn't seem to happen. I went into the convenience settings some time ago, but don't believe I changed anything relating to this.
View 4 RepliesSometimes when I take the key out of the ignition, the wipers move up slightly. I notice the passenger's blade most as it parks a bit higher than the driver's blade, so when they move up the right one is more obvious. They don't move a full cycle, just up about an inch and stop.

View 16 RepliesAbout 2 weeks ago, my wipers just decided not to turn off anymore. While in the off position, they still work intermittently. about every 22 seconds, drives me nuts. Changed the relay. Didn't do squat.....

Noticed yesterday when I turn my car off, the wipers move about an inch. It is very odd. Is there something I am missing?

I press the washer lever towards and the washer fluid comes out, but the wipers don't move. They are not stuck on the windshield because of ice or anything either. What can I check?The next question is the turn signal. What does the lever do when you push the lever towards the dash? It clicks, but I don't notice that it does anything?
View 8 RepliesMy wipers are set in "maintenance mode" or something needs to be adjusted. Every time I start my car and start to move, the wipers move slightly and make a jolt sound. At first I wasn't sure what it was, thought maybe it was the brakes or something but a few weeks ago I realized it was the wipers moving. It only happens after I start the car and start moving. After that initial take-off, they don't move anymore until I re-start the engine.
Is this normal or do I need to adjust something? Just know that the wipers do have a maintenance mode.
The windshield wipers on my '98 Volvo S90 seem kaput. I can hear the motor but the arms don't move. I am assuming it's the wiper transmission and have been quoted astronomical amounts for repair.
View 4 RepliesWe were borrowing my brother-in-law's 2006 Jetta and the day after a snow storm, the windshield wipers stopped working. They came up half way and then stopped and don't move further. You can hear a whirring noise,like something is trying to go, but no movement. We've been quoted $500-600 to replace the windshield wipers and motor, but we don't think they need to be replaced, just repaired.
View 6 RepliesI've been dealing with an A/C issue for a while, ever since last summer. A black on black car is hot enough as it is and with no A/C, it sucks. I took it to the local specialist, not the stealership, Anyway, he looked over it and found that one component wasnt even wired up so he wired it up and fixed it and put some freon in it and it seemed to work fine.... until the freon escaped.
View 4 RepliesI don't know when it happened, but the compass does not show on my MFD anymore. I have been through all of the menus in the mfd and can't find anything about turning it on. Oddly enough, I can't find the menu for setting the area for the compass either. I do have a Vag-com but where to look using it.
View 10 RepliesThis morning the sunroof on our 04 Wagon freaked out and now will not close, or go back into the roof. It is stuck about 1/2 lifted. Each time you move the dial it tries to close, then goes right back to 1/2 open. Nothing appears to be stuck anywhere in the mechanisms and we were driving while it happened.

I called the installers, they came back and took the arms off and put them back on. All wires appear connected, though I have not checked voltage. I have no rain sensor. The rear wiper still works.
