Noticed a little tiny white connector hanging out in the projector side of the headlight? What this is used for and if there is power going to it?

View 4 RepliesI had the OEM projector fogs installed today, as well as the rear fog and Euroswitch (will post pics soon!). I love the look of the lights off just as much as on - such a great mod! My only concern is that there is some kind of haze (almost like condensation, but not) on the inside of the driver's side housing. It doesn't appear to obstruct the light, but it is clearly visible when the fogs are on. What this might be?
View 2 RepliesI have searched high and low, and I cannot find how to replace the factory low beam projector style headlight bulb on my wife's 2013 Tiguan SEL. It came with the factory LED style HID lights. There were a ton of videos and how to's for the regular Tiguan headlight replacement, and for aftermarket Ebay LED ones, but I can find anything about how to replace the factory low beam projector bulb, other than "take it to a dealer". My thinking is 'if the dealer can do it, so can I'! There has got to be a way. I can't get the wire bulb retainer loose, or get the bulb out of the headlight housing.
View 2 RepliesI'm new to Volkswagen, never had one before. Just bought my buddies 2003 GTI 20th anniversary #106. My bud install glass projector headlights, which he has the projector as his DRL's and for some reason when you release the E brake, which turns the DRL's, the projector lights on, they flicker and only the driver side stays on leaving the passenger side off. If I pull the E brake back up to turn them off and back down again it flickers on but won't stay on. Sometimes it does switch sides to where the passenger side works and the driver side doesn't but its the passenger side that mostly has the problem. Now I can continue to do this and eventually after 3 or 4 pulls of the E brake i can get them both working. I'm OCD about these little things like this and i want it to work right.
View 4 Replies2010 SEL with projector headlights. Dash warning light comes on and passenger side headlights stop working - both high and low beam. Then light will go out and headlights start working. Jumps back forth and during the day between working and not working.
View 6 RepliesI just had my Prius retrofitted using the TRS Retro-Quik with the Morimoto Mini H1 7.0 projectors. Looks like the rotational alignment of the drivers side projector is rotated too far clockwise. Is it possible to fix the rotational alignment without taking the headlight apart again?
View 2 RepliesTwo months ago I walked out to my car as it was remote started and realized the driver side headlight was out. With a quick tap to the lens it was fixed with no further problems to date. As of yesterday my passenger side headlight and side marker went out. The first thing I tried was the tap method which only brought the sidemarker back to life. Could it be the bulb or a worse problem. I am not sure if its just the bulb seeing that the side marker is going off and on.
View 2 RepliesI dropped off my 2012 Passat to the dealer this morning because the driver's DRL was out and the passenger headlight was out. Normally I'd change bulbs myself and be on my way but since this is new and under warranty, I let them do the work.
Anyway, fixed the DRL (bad bulb). But the passenger headlight assembly needs replacing. Seems I have fallen victim to a melted housing causing a failure. I've read about the situation somewhere here on the forums and suspected it might be the case. So VW is 2-3 days out on getting a new part and I'm in a loaner for the time being.
I'm guessing this happens a lot with this part. I wonder if VW will issue a recall in the future.
I have a 2007 VW Passat Wolfsburg Edition. The passenger side headlight went out today. This is my first VW, but I've never had a headlight go out this early. A few questions:
1) Is this normal?
2) How much is a new bulb?
3) Can I replace it myself or should I go to the dealer?
My passenger side headlight just went out. I have the HID with AFS. I can't seem to get the back piece out due to the washer being in the way.
View 1 RepliesMy 08 Camry CE/Base on the passenger side has tiny rust dots that appeared after I got a car wash. How to remove them? I read something about clay but I don't know what they're talking about.
View 6 RepliesA few weeks back I started noticing the driver's side headlight would go out when I started up the car after work. If I drove it around & restarted about 10 mins later, the headlight would come back on, got sick of that after a week so I replaced the bulb and the same thing happens. It happens only when I leave work, any other time it's fine, even went on vacation for a week w/out any probs. The only thing I can think of is the heat from sitting out on the parking lot all day does something, what might be going on?

View 3 RepliesWell my headlining on my passenger side died, I was wondering how hard it is to replace the light and also I was thinking about getting a set of the lights with the leds in them, like the audi but are there any that you dont have to rewire the switch to get them to work.
View 8 RepliesI just got a set of OEM headlights put in my car. The first time i drove it at night, i noticed that the driver's side headlight dropped short of the coverage that the passenger side headlight did (distance wise). How can i adjust this?
View 1 RepliesEncountered a problem with the headlights. I had to replace my driver side headlight. It worked great for a few weeks until the low beam just died out. It seemed as if the connector that holds the bulb got fried. I took it to the dealership and they replaced it for free. I believe they changed the socket inside the headlight piece because it was burnt. It worked great for two weeks until it just started acting up again. If I try to nudge the socket that holds the bulb i can get it back on, but once I let go it just dies out again. What can cause this? I even switched the bulbs and bulb holders between the two headlights. It worked briefly but once I hit a large bump it moved around and just died again. Now I cant even get it to click back in place. It only lights up if I shake the socket around but doesn't stay lit without support.
View 24 RepliesMy 2006 Passat has moisture in the passenger side headlight. Not sure how it got there, or how to get rid of it. The mechanic at the dealership said to drill a hole in the bottom of the light (but that sounds like a BAD idea).
How I can remove the moisture from this without replacing the entire headlight housing? I thought that maybe I could remove the bulb and use a hair dryer on low to try to evaporate the moisture.
My passenger side headlight(low beam) isn't turning on. Replaced the bulb. The light flickers and dies out.
View 1 RepliesSo on my 06 passat, the headlight on the driver's side is crooked like severally to the point I have to use my brights at night. Do these cars come with motion headlights? How would I go about fixing this or do I need a new headlamp???
View 5 RepliesI am in need of replacing the passenger side Front Headlight assembly. I was wondering, how to assemble it outside of a repair shop. I was also looking to possibly get the part number so I can make sure I am purchasing the correct product for my 2012 VW Passat SE.
View 8 RepliesMy brother lost power on his passenger side headlight. ONLY the low beam. Everything works fine... any wiring diagram, looking for the fuse.
