The readout on the screen says "Tire Pressure Too Low" or something similar. I checked the pressure on all 4 tires and they all have the proper amount of pressure. I assume that means one or more of the TPM's are bad? Is there a way to tell which one?

But mine actually says: Tire Pressure Monitoring Malfunction
Something to that effect. That leads me to believe it has nothing to do with tire pressure but rather something is faulty. If it said tire pressure low that would be one thing...but it clearly says something about tire pressure monitor malfunction. I told the dealer to prepare to order a TPMS but he said he thinks it's the weather and he needs to look at it.
The facts: 2009 4x4 V6 Escape with Valve stem mounted TPMS
I am getting a tire pressure sensor malfunction fault. The warning light is on and the error message is displayed on the little screen in the gauge cluster.
What I have tried: First I should say I have replace to defective sensor twice now...
1) I put the escape in tpms train mode by hitting the hazard switch off/on about 6 times.
2) I used the train tool to train all the tires but there is one that is giving me trouble and will not train.
3) I tried deflating the problem tire and inflating it to the specified pressure given on the be pillar of the escape (30 psig)... after inflating it I tried to retain it with no luck.
4) I tried rotating the tires and as I mentioned earlier I have replaces the problem sensor twice. Still can't can't get the problem tire to train.
My thoughts:
1) I don't think this is a module error because I can train the other tires and since I rotated them I know their position is not a factor.
2) its possible that I have got two defective tpms sensors but I think that is unlikely.
3) I have read of another procedure to put the escape in tpms train mode that requires you to turn the ignition on/off, step on the break pedal, tap your head and rub your belly, etc... but I have not tried this method. Is there a difference from this train mode verse hitting the hazard switch on/off about 6 times?
4) Does the train tool only work on previously trained sensors? do I need to register the new TPMS sensor with the TPMS module? I have an OBDII tool that connects to scanXL software on my laptop which included the ford proprietary protocol. I looked for a way to program a tpms sensor (similar to how I did it with my toyota) but couldn't find the option.
I have changed the original tyres and rim under my B6 Car, and i have this information displayed,Low tire pressure, i have tried my best to deactivate that light but still it comes on. i Bought rim 17, and the tyre size is 215/50/17, that is a sports tyre, and the previous rim size is 16 and the tyre size is 215/55/16.. Now i dont know why the new rim shows low tyre pressure, I have taken it to the dealer for decoding but still its on. Where exactly this sensors that detect the pressure of the tyres are located, the rear side of the passenger trunk was jamped before or had being hit before and i changed the master disk, i don't know if that is what is causing this. I really want to know where exactly this sensors are located.
View 13 RepliesI had this warning come on a couple of days ago on my 2008 VR6 with 46k miles on it. I wasn't surprised since the temperatures have finally dropped in Wisconsin and the car has not been driven much in the last month. I checked all the tires and they were at 30 PSI so I pumped them all up to 35 PSI, but the warning won't clear. The last time this happened a ride around the block cleared the warning.

View 12 RepliesMy buddy's left front tire came off last night destroyed his rotor and cracked his rim but the weird question is his digital speedometer is reading 18mph not matter if he is moving or standing still and he has a light that shows low tire pressure and system error we check all the connections and connectors but noting is broken. How to fix this or clear out the fault.
View 18 RepliesLight came on a few days ago and I just inflated them to spec. 3 were around 30psi while one was down to 29. Indicator is still on when I start up the car. Did a search and one mentioned that driving approx 15mi it will turn off. Others say a button in the glove box will reset it. I looked and do not see one. Car is 09 passat. Hoping it shuts off on my drive to work ~20mi. If not how do is reset? I read owners manual and did not see anything about pushing a reset button or anything.
View 21 RepliesI just got a 2004 passat glx. it's certified pre-owned, but they did not give me a complete manual. (ugh.) I'm trying to figure out the tire pressure. on my old car, there was a label on the driver's side door, but there is no such label on my passat. I read somewhere that the pressure listing is on the inside of the fuel door, but I don't see it there, either. Where can I find it? or What is the proper pressure for a glx, front and back?

View 3 RepliesI have a 2007 Passat Wlfsburg Edition with 4,300 miles on it. In the message center it stated "Tire Pressure Too Low!" There is also a tire yellow warning light lit. I checked the tire pressure. They were all at 30 psi. I inflated them to 33 psi as stated on the door jamb. The light and message are still there. I checked the owners manual and it doesn't say how to reset it or anything. What should I do?
View 24 RepliesSo tonight I'm driving on I-80 and all of a sudden I hear a thud, the TPMS light comes on and a warning of low tire pressure. I get out to take a lot and the rear left tire is practically flat. Changing the tire was pretty easy once I figured out where everything was in the tray.
So now I'm in the market for a replacement tire as there was a huge hole in tread. I have a about 3000 miles on the car. Would you get a replacement tire that is the same make/model as the rest of the tires, or would you simply get a cheaper replacement? Once I am ready to replace the rest of the tires, I'm not sure if I would replace them with the OEM make/model anyway. At the same time I'm not sure how long the OEM's will last.
Got a low tire pressure alert this morning. Was running late for work and the tires weren't noticeably low and work is only 5 miles away so I decided to do it after work. Went to the gas station to get some air and all the tires were at 33 ish and one was at 20. Filled it up and drove for about 25 minutes but the error light never came off.

View 4 RepliesWe have a 2007 Passat. The tire pressure sensor broke off at the valve stem. In checking with the dealer, I was told the tire pressure sensor and valve stem are all one unit. My question is if you can use a regular valve stem and attach the sensor to it, or do you have to get the entire unit with the valve stem and sensor together.
View 2 RepliesThe window sticker for my '07 Passat 3.6 says that the car has the tire pressure monitoring feature. I have yet to find it, and was not under the impression that I was getting that feature when I was buying car. Seeing it on the window sticker a few months after I got the car surprised me.
But so far I haven't found hide nor hair of it. If I had tire pressure monitoring... where would it be?

Error for parking brake. Sometimes it works sometimes it doesn't.
I bought a used certified 2012 Toyota Camry LE with 6000 miles on it directly from the main and larger Toyota dealer two weeks ago, I chose to get original tires inflated with nitrogen which is a service provided by dealer.
Right now I'm realizing that the display screen is not showing me the tires at all, just the trip and gas consumption stats.
Before taking the car to dealer and get in line is there a way system may be reset so tires and of course pressure data are properly displayed?
My car's driver's side tire looks almost flat as one of my co-workers indicated first but the tire pressure light is NOT on. Should I worry about it and get it checked out?
