View 2 RepliesI'm looking to remove the deck lid on the F to check out the sub (seems like it's working sometimes).
I pull the seat bottoms up, and pulled the 12mm bolts to get the seat back off, I couldn't get the belts out, nor the through the deck lid.
I only have a single 12 (ported) on 600 watts rear-firing, but on low notes my rear deck flaps around so bad you can hardly hear the music! I tried dynamiting the "ceiling" of the trunk (i.e. all the holes and such) but that hasn't worked at all. Its obnoxious...

I've taken the three bolts out of the middle, the ones with the black clips on them, but don't know where to go from here. I'm assuming I'll also have to disconnect the brake light, correct?
It seemed there were screws or even glue maybe holding the deck in place close to the seatbacks - is this true? I didn't want to pull to hard on it in case it broke.
Is there any other way to access the amp without removing the deck lid? My rear right mid speaker isn't working so I'm trying to determine why
My rear air vents are broken kind of I feel like I could fix it if i took the whole back part off, how to remove the back air vents? or the whole thing?

View 2 RepliesI will be installing a Euro-type of hitch to my car and for that the rear bumper needs to be removed.
View 8 RepliesSo I tried removing my rear deck but was unsuccessful. I removed 4 "screws" when folding the seats then the ones inside the trunk but it didn't come off. Did I miss anything that is holding it down?

From day 1 owning the car used at 50k I hear vibration sounds coming from the rear deck (behind the rear seats but not inside the trunk) when moving from a stop for the first few seconds of acceleration.
what exactly is the root cause and how to fix it?
I have an 05 avalon. There has always been this rattling noise from the rear deck lid (i suppose). The noise is so annoying. I suspect its coming from that deck lid. I also have a buzzing rear electric shade that has refused to go down. Just removed the fuse
View 1 RepliesI just noticed during my recent road trip on vacation that my interior rear deck (behind seat) is very sticky to the touch. Had the car about 6 months but never noticed until I tossed a gray fuzzy blanket on it and saw a lot of dust and fuzz from the blanket was sticking to it.
View 31 RepliesI just recently put a jl8"w7 in my truck and this thing make my car rattle like crazy not just the trunk lid. The worse part is the rear deck below the back glass, any quick fix before I start tearing things apart?
View 4 RepliesI had a 12" sub installed in my trunk & was getting a horrendous rattle from the rear deck area. My first instinct was to put Dynamat everywhere but after some googling i ended up filling the underside of the rear deck area with trashbags!! I pushed 5 of them through the opening where you access the 3rd brake light & it now it sounds perfect. I uploaded a video to youtube with a sound test.....
View 6 RepliesI have changed the brake light in the rear deck 3 times in the last 2 months. Why they keep burning out?
View 7 RepliesI drive a Sport and have installed a subwoofer and amplifier to work with the stock head unit and speakers. However, I find the subwoofer sounds a bit muffled and I think I need to create a bit of an air flow between the trunk and the cockpit.
I did notice the rear deck has a big hole where the 8 inch subwoofer sits in higher trims. The hole is however, covered with a plastic dummy or cap or placeholder or whatever it is Hyundai calls it. If I can remove that, I can make some air flow and believe the subwoofer might sound better. How to remove it?
2007 LS460L; nagging subtle muffled rattle in the rear cabin deck. It turns out that if you remove the passenger side panel in the trunk, whereas you are capable to reach behind the frame and the rear fender panel. There I found a drain hose, neatly wrapped in sound deadening material, but loose enough to rattle around against the outer rear fender panel enough to create that elusive subtle rattling sound.
I simply did a quick fastening job with gorilla "duct" tape, in order to secure the hose to the inner frame of the trunk. This prevents the hose from moving around with "ANY" movement produced by the vehicle over the smallest of bumps to the largest of bumps.
I checked everything from the sunshade, to the speakers, to the subwoofer, to the air ride suspension caps (accessed by removing my electronic reclining rear seats), to securing all hardware in the spare tire compartment, to the middle row seat belt "housing", to the middle row headrest "relaxed position", to the rear center console.
All of this effort only to read another members experience on their 2009 lexus is250 with the "brown/blue box electronic housing" in the trunk behind the panel on the passenger side, where he found his solution by tightening the retaining nuts on the housings bolts that secured it to the inner frame structure.
blue/brown plastic box that connects the wires inside the trunk.
2013 Camry SE: I am experiencing some buzzing/static noise coming from the rear deck. It happens randomly on rough pavements. I know it is not the license plates because I removed the entire plate off and drove around the block and I can still hear this noise.
View 1 RepliesI have an issue with what sounds like the rear deck rattling in my 2010 SE Camry. I can hear it almost every time my back wheels hit any small bump in the road.
I also have subwoofers installed along with dynamat in most of the trunk (just not on the rear deck). This is my main reason for wanting this solved. The rattle is very noticeable when the bass hits in almost every song. Is that where the rattle is coming from?
Have a cracking noise coming from the rear windshield/deck when going over bumps when the car is cold? I've had this consistently since I got the car. It also has been consistently cold so there have been no warm days for me to tell if this noise goes away when it's warm out or not. It is extremely annoying though and I can't really pinpoint what it is either.
