How i can get the LED lights on the passenger side rear working? Just noticed 4 LED lights are not working when the dipped and side lights are on. Two LED lights are not working when indicating.

How easy to change the rear lights?
Have a 99 passat and none of the pass rear lights are working right now. I replace all 3 bulbs and they still wont light up. I changed the bulbs earlier today and as far as I could tell the bulb assembly was connected properly. is there a fuse for each side, or some common problem I can look for?
View 4 RepliesOk i did do a "search" and it solved Half my problem. Both the (Front Pass & Rear Pass) 12V Socket were not working. Did a Search and read to check the Fuse Box. Checked ALL Fuses one by one and found a Blue 15 Amp Fuse Blown. Replaced it and the Front Pass 12V socket works now, but the Rear is still not working... Am i missing something?

My buddy just picked up a 2007 passat 2.0t. Upon bringing it home and locking it we noticed the horn didn't beep indicating an active alarm. I discovered the rear passenger door wasn't locking, and when opening it, even though the alarm was activated, the alarm didn't go off. The door unlock/lock switch as well as the window switch both aren't working. Can't open the window from the driver's door switch either.
I'm guessing it's probably something to do with the power to the door since it's completely unresponsive. Where would we be able to check if power is going to the door? Also, since the alarm doesn't go off when opened is there a sensor somewhere that says when the door is open and or locked?
I have a 2001 Passat GLX. On occasion (usually when it is hot) the cluster will reset as if the key was cycled while you are driving. All the cluster warning lights come on, the needles drop to zero, and the trip odometer resets.
When the is occurring it also seems that the A/C stops working and the the car will tend to lock itself and set the alarm. Well except the driver's rear door doesn't actually lock.
I have replaced the bulbs in every outlet on the passenger side but nothing is working yet. Is there a "flasher" that could be out on that side only and if so where is it located in the vehicle. (It sounds like it is behind the glove box.)
View 1 Replies I installed a trailer wiring kit for my Tiguan (etrailer.com). All was working fine until a few months ago. I am now having issues with my passenger rear tail light (does not come on for brakes / turn signal / hazard). The running light works.
At the present time the trailer wiring kit is disconnected. When I went to check this out it seems that some water had got in the seal on the light and there was some corrosion on the plug/connector. Initially I thought that was the issue, but it does not seem to be.
The light bulbs / connectors work fine (tested on opposite side). I checked the fuses and can't find an issue. Power is getting to the light but the the voltage on the rear tail light is very low (0.1-0.5V) compared to 8-10V on for the drivers side. I'm wondering if this is a bad relay or some corrosion somewhere else?
- What fuse(s) are for the tail lights?
- Is there a flasher relay that I may need to replace?
This passenger side rear turn signal stopped working two weeks ago after a period of intermittent operation. All other lights work. I replaced the bulb and fuses. I am not an expert about auto electrical. The relay box is under the hood on the driver side. There is another fuse box under the driver side dash left of the steering column. Auto parts stores want to sell me a "flasher" that, well, I can't figure out where it goes. The "TNS relay" in the relay box is smaller than the flasher the parts stores are selling me. My little owner manual is not useful. Any theories about what is wrong? Wiring? Relay? Where does that flasher go? Somewhere under the dash?
View 2 RepliesI have aftermarket headlights and when they were put in and to today the passenger side lights are dimmer than the drivers side light. the mechanic supposedly changed the outlet and socket and said it was just something to deal with.

1 week ago $2 tire pressure gauge fell through the slots on the left side of the trunk inside, I have tried to reach it, but to no avail(touched wires, which goes to the rear/stops driver's side several times).
Today I noticed one of my side markers was not working, I turned on lights, tried to change bulb in it and as of now neither marker nor left front light(that small upper bulb in bigger bulb slot) nor rear lights work.
Low and high beam are ok on both sides.
I recently had a dash light pop on indicating that I had a light out. After searching all over the car I realized that the blinker in the passenger side mirror housing is not working.
From what I've been able to gather by looking at my driver's side mirror there are 3 small LEDs (two facing the side and one facing forward). On the passenger mirror all three of the LEDs are not working.
I find it very hard to believe that all three LEDs have burned out, since they rarely burn out at all. Why the lighting on that mirror isn't working? I haven't noticed anything else that isn't functioning at all or properly so I'm stumped.
The window actuator/motor is running and going up and down but the window isn't. I am thinking the clip/hardware that attaches the window to the track has broken. My issue is getting to it. Ive had the door panel off but cant figure out getting to the area.

View 4 RepliesMy rear passengers side turn signal is not working. The bulb is lit up when i have my parking lights on so i know that th bulb is good. So my guess is that there is a voltage issue. I have searched the web for a wiring diagram and have come up empty handed.
View 2 RepliesI am having an issue with the passenger side low beam headlight on a stock 02 Passat. Bulb is fine but after testing confirmed no juice to that side. Drivers side works fine as do the running lights on both sides. Fuse is fine and after an afternoon of looking at it I am about ready to beat my head up against the wall. Only other clue is the cig lighter went out about (not sure if the exact) same time.

View 2 RepliesIn April of this year I had a large amount of water in the rear passenger area..Long story short it was the pollen filter..Dealership got it covered with my extended warranty, but yet I had to pay 1200.00 to replace the carpet..They also replaced the Control unit?? Wiring harness and housing...So, now fast forward to 2 days ago. I had a FLOOD in the rear DRIVER seat this time.I called to let them know and they said to bring it in Monday for emergency appt..My plan was to drop it off Sunday evening..during the night of rain we had Saturday I hear a god awful noise at 4 Am..My car is all lit up in orange lights.We had to disc the battery to stop the noise and lights..later that morning we got the wet-vac and hooked up the battery again. It started fine, but then all the lights went crazy and everything got all whacked out.
My trunk no longer closes...so we disc the battery and call AAA to tow to dealer..They just called me now..of course they need it for a day or 2 to determine the problem and see if it is covered! it damn well better be..they got it covered last time. I am beyond irate at this point. No doubt the car is in the same condition as before...main computer is obviously screwed up again..If they think I am paying 1 penny they are sadly mistaken..twice in 2 months?? Something is definitely hinky here..last time before they determined it was the pollen filter, they told me they cleared all drainage area and ruled out all that so they can't tell me that was the problem this time..They can't get clogged in 2 months when for the past 5 years I have NEVER had this issue.
I own a 2005 Volkswagon Passat, and took it to my mechanic yesterday to get a sticker and my new summer tires put on. When I picked up the car, the passenger side speaker is no longer working. About a month ago I took my car to a specialist to have an aftermarket radio put in for me that I got for my birthday so I can listen to my iPod. Why my passenger side speaker is not working anymore? Does it have anything to do with what my mechanic might have messed up when putting the new tires on?
View 5 RepliesNotices such a noise from the rear passenger side door (same side as the fuel cap. Also experienced this same window 'malfunction'. Lowered it partially and then auto-rolled it up. Instead of auto-rolling up to a close, it rolled all the way up and then all the way down where is stopped.
View 4 RepliesI locked my 98 passat yesterday with the key , activated the alarm and the horn honked and the lights flashed, but the passenger side turn lights will not go off, I pulled the flasher out and dis connected it but the lights stay on, I am guessing I have a stuck relay in the security system, but where to start looking. the turn signals will not flash with the turn signal switch or the hazard button pushed in, only the drivers side turn signals will work. This is my 1st VW and I am lost.
