On my 07 Wagon the speed that is displayed in the odometer window while you are moving is being displayed in km/h. How do I switch this back to mph? It appears that everything in my convenience settings are set to miles.
View 3 RepliesMy speed odometer just stopped working along with the trip meter, while I was driving down the Interstate. I noticed no warning signs regarding this failure. Strange all other indications seem to work just fine on my cluster.
View 1 RepliesA few months ago I had the oil changed in my 06 Passat and they forgot to reset the service engine display. When I stopped by later, the regular guy was not there so the mechanic tried to reset it...after which , when the car starts moving, the odometer disappears and is replaced with the speed in kilometers. Nothing important, the trip odometer is still there but I think I would prefer the original setting.How to get my miles back?
View 3 RepliesI have a 2012 Camry SE I4. The problem is my car speed odometer is faster than my radar detector speed. I have 2 detectors and they are both not show the same speed compare to the speed odometer. For example, I am going 70mph, the detector reads like 67-68mph. So the speed odometer is off about 2-3mph. I have OEM size on my car. I know the GPS on my detector is more accurate. So my speed odometer has problem?

View 9 Replies I was on a highway on my Toyota Sienna LE 2012 today and hit a minor bump (the steel protrusions on road you feel when driving over a bridge) I first thought the tire pressure signal come on, slowed down and it seemed OK. All indicators - Check Engine, ABS, VSC, Brake, Pressure, etc were also ON, speedometer, odometer not working and I stopped under a mile at a gas station. Turned off car, checked tire pressure, it was OK and restarted car - all indicators still ON, speedometer, odometer and power window controls do not work. Steering feels tight but I can drive car - I was on my way to JFK Airport and on Beltway Pky East another 10mi to go yo JFK. Car drove fine, but with all these indicators on, and steering what felt like manual.
I plan on taking car for service tomorrow but I have never remotely experienced anything like this on a car. I am also worried I messed up the car (and dangerous if something else happened...) driving to get to the airport. What could have gone wrong?
Grand am is a 4cly 4speed trans. My daughter is off to school. She called and told me her speed odometer is not working. She also mentioned that it is not shifting properly if at all. Is the speed odometer operated by cable? Would the two be related to the transmission going bad?

This is the first time it has happened to me, what could cause this or have a problem similar to this and know how to fix it?
Its strange but since the other day the rear right window comes down sporadically when I push the window button on the driver console. When it does come down I am able to get it back up but when it closes all the way thats when it doesn't want to come back down. There is a tree sap problem where I live that gets all over the car. I'm wondering if the sap particles are having an effect on the ability to lower the window. When the window is stuck all the way up I can hear the motor in the door.

View 7 RepliesI have an issue with Prius 2005 driver side power window constantly making clicking sound even after turning off the Prius. All other power windows works, just the driver side is having this issue. This started happening after I changed the 12V battery for my Prius.
The window still rolls down and up but it's very slow and making even louder clicking sound while rolling down and up. Also an other thing that I noticed is that windows keep going down slowly by itself after it's been closed. Any clue as to what went wrong with my driver side power window ?
Each time I turn on the A/C, the fan seems automatically to be in the highest position even though the inside and outside temperature is only one or 2 degrees apart. Can this be changed? I know I can manually slow the fan down but seems like i have to do that every time I start the AC.

When the window is fully up, there is some very noticeable wind noise at speed which then goes when the window is moved down a fraction. Whether this a problem that's easily solved or whether it's going to require lots of fiddly work by the service technicians?
View 8 RepliesI was driving today and at a traffic light a severe smell of burnt plastic filled the cabin and the A/C blower started to change speed than stayed at full blast and even if I'd turn the knob from side to side or tried to shut everything off with the ""OFF""button nothing would happen........so we drove home and at some point it shut itself off...tried it again and seems ok now.....every dealer closed today and leaving for the USA tomorrow morning.... What the problem could be?
View 5 Replies2000 neon automatic. My wife was complaining about the rpms jumping around when on the highway going about 65mph. The rpms are around 3000 and jump very slightly up and down and you can hear the engine tone change when it happens. Checked tran fluid and it was low about 3/4 of a quart and added some fluid, changed spark plugs and wires and the problem is still there. Doesn't happen all the time. She says it seems to only do this if the car has been sitting for a few hours or longer. There is an code for the downstream sensor which needs to be changed.
