View 3 RepliesHow to remove the black outer trim from the dash area around the radio? I need to do a little sub-dash mod to fit my new double DIN head unit in place, and don't want to break the dash trim in the process. I've pulled on it a bit, but decided I had better stop until I found out the correct way to do it ...
View 2 RepliesI'm in process of changing my interior trim, had removed already all trim from dashboard etc. but can't figure out how remove trim around gear gaiter, trim with ESP and Autohold. Pulled really hard, nothing happens, don't want to break it.

What i'm trying to do is get the chrome to black but cannot figure out a safe way to remove them to either wrap in black vinyl, paint or just replace with black strips. I'm not trying to completely remove them just get the chrome to black. Its an 03
View 10 RepliesI'm looking for the process to remove the exterior black glossy b pillar trim on the front door. My wife decided to open my door against a ladder and it has a 3mm scratch that's going to big the piss out of me so I'm looking to replace it. Also looking for the PN as well.
View 2 RepliesHow do I remove the trim that's around the pull handle and the lock/unlock button? Not the trim by your belly that has window buttons but the ones that are near your side mirrors. Mine are scuffed to poop and I would like to replace the trim and the lock/unlock buttons.
View 1 RepliesSo I've been able to suppress all of the rattles in my car except one: The cluster trim right above the display rattles, it creaks, hell, I can hold a conversation with it. What can be done to remedy it? The 'turn up the radio' technique doesn't work.
View 3 RepliesHow to remove the plastic dash trim on the Passenger side? Is there a way to do this without removing the glovebox? I know there is one screw that needs to be removed. Mine creaks pretty badly. Ive already removed the center console trim and added felt to all those pieces. No more ticks/ creaks.
I guess I could have the dealer remove it but I dont want them taking my glovebox out to do it = more rattles. Why does VW make it so difficult to remove something that should be so simple!!
I could not figure it out. Looking for a good spot to hide an aftermarket gps antenna...
View 2 RepliesBought my R32 in late July. So far I've just been lurking on the board, but today I have a question. I'm having difficulty removing the A-Pillar trim.
View 3 RepliesHow to remove the standard AC control unit from the dash? I tried unscrewing all the visible screws. It gets loose but wont come out. I have a rattle. I am trying to solve.
View 6 RepliesHow to remove the rear side interior trim? I want to install a rear view camera. I need to pull the trim to run the wiring along the left side to the floor and to the front of the car.
My understanding is I need to get access to the left rear side of the hatch, then underneath the carpet along the rear door trim, etc. I've seen some posts on the 2 door, but there appear to be differences between that and the 4 door.
Is there a Trick to remove the A-pillar trim? I pulled all of the screws that I could find. Looking at the pic, there should be a screw near the rear of the Dash, but I am not seeing one there. It feels caught on something as I pry. I don't want to pry too hard to just have it crack/break.
I have pulled the black speaker panel at the front on the dash already. That was a pain to do with the windshield in the way.
Also, any tips on removing the trim around the sliding door window in the pic? Pulled all the screws and it still feels attached to something at the top.
How do you remove the trim on the steering wheel ? I want to wrap it with carbon fiber ...
View 2 RepliesI'm trying to upgrade my speakers. I got the ones in the front and rear doors installed. I hoping there is a way I can access the speakers without having to completely remove all of the rear panels.
View 8 RepliesMy 2008 Elite has a door that won't open. The rear door on the driver's side.
It is an Australian Elite model. I can hear the click when the remote is pressed. How can I get the door open to remove the intyerior trim?
I have a 'new to me' 2007 F-350SD super cab and need to run some wiring inside. What I don't know is how the heck the trim pieces are attached and how to remove them without breaking them! If it ain't held on with screws, nuts, bolts...
View 2 RepliesI got into my car this morning and looked down to notice that the dash trim is beginning to pop loose... I haven't tried to remove this trim before so I don't know how it happened.
Here are some pictures ....
I am going to take this into the dealer later this week.
Here goes, I just took ownership in the last month of a Hyundai Accent GS(2000). Car's been going great, but I have now found an annoying issue with a vibration coming through the dash. When I'm accelerating in all gears (and esp up hill when the car is under pressure), a Vibration starts in the dash and stays until I am roughly over 3000 revs. I'm in Ireland, so the car is Right Hand Drive. The Vibration sounds like it is coming from behind the speedo clocks near to windscreen.
So far, I have removed the Center Console and Stereo and the Vibration stays there. I've reached in behind the console and cant find any vibration there. I have also driven with the speedo clocks removed and putting my hand into the space trying to find the vibration.....but no joy.
The vibration itself sounds like a plastic trim in the dash (or behind the dash), but it has my stomped! Can it be something in the engine causing it? Engine ticks over fine, not lumpy in anyway.
Trying to remove all the lower trim on the dashboard. Have everything but the lower right portion on the drivers side. The carbon trim on there seems to be tucked under the upper part of the dashboard itself and I can't remove it. I assume there is one final screw under there?
I can pop it loose a bit on the left corner but feel if I force that trim something is going to break.
As I mentioned before, I'm looking forward to getting rid of the aluminum trim on my car (too bright and sun reflections) bu I saw a titanium wood trim that I like. Planning to have Dunkel aluminum from the radio down and this gray wood on top including the parking lights button and the 2 little drawers.
