View 8 RepliesSO, I am thinking about adding the LED strip lights, either around the lights or where the fogs go. My question is how can I disable the DRL's? I just ordered HID's as well, and rather not have them run all the time.
View 2 RepliesI know this topic has been discussed, but I unable to find it. A step by step (VAG-COM) for the disabling of the DRL for a 06 Passat. I do have the Euro-switch already installed.

View 7 RepliesMy brake pad sensor keeps returning false positives (ie, always telling me my front pads are low). I do all my own brake work and I know the pads are fine (I checked just to be sure).
Considering the car always goes in for scheduled maintenance and I usually eyeball them anyway, I'm comfortable not relying on the pad warning system and would like to disable it. Is it as simple as just disconnecting the sensors and tucking away the wires, or is there more to it than that?
I know the sensors work on the "completing the circuit" principle, but I'm not sure if just disconnecting them will report a different fault. There's not a specific fuse that controls the sensors, is there?
I'm looking into being able to turn off my traction control off as need be is their a fuse I can pull or a simply diy to turn it off by a switch in the cab...
View 5 RepliesI have just purchased a 2013 Passat, SEL Premium. In my GTI, I could disable traction control with the "ESR off" button. I do not see anything like that on the display. Is this a menu function somewhere? While I do not need it all the time, when we do get deep snow, the traction control needs to be disabled.

View 14 RepliesBy changing the region for the instrument cluster in Module 17 (VAG-COM) to Europe or UK, it removes the accept screen. Well, I did that, and it works, but then immediately I get the ABS light on and the ESC doesn't work, and then the parking brake light goes on and says there is a fault. If I change it back to US or Canada, everything is back to normal. I'm just tired of having to press "accept" every time I start the car and want to use my steering wheel controls for volume and such.
View 3 RepliesIs it possible to disable the auto lock feature after time-out? I am not referring to the auto locks after driving 15kph. I am referring to when you unlock the doors with the remote and then don't open any of the doors for a minute or two. If you do not "wake" the car by opening it, the doors automatically lock again.
This is my most hated feature. There will be times when I unlock the door from the house and walk out to the car to get something. If I don't open a door within 1 minute, its locked again. Now I just have to carry the key for the most trivial things. Is this a menu option or a vag option?
So have been thinking about this for some time and I just finally got to it. I want to disable the DRL, and I found this video: [URL] .....
I tried it and it did not work. How to disable the running lights in an 2001 Passat?
I just brought home my new 07 2.0T Wagon and need info with the speed warning function. The dealer set it to 0.0 mph when showing me the car and now whenever I start the car and back up, drive away it says speed warning exceeded. I then press the OK button and it goes back to normal MFD mode. How do I disable or turn off the speed warning, I thought I did what the manual said but it will not go away (when I first start the car).
View 3 RepliesWhat is the coding or a link to get the coding to change the features of the headlights to a 2006 passat? My headlights are always on and was wondering if there was a way to have it so they are off during the day and I can manually turn them on at night.

View 4 RepliesIs it possible through VAG-COM to disable them on 2006 passat? Going to be having my second son soon and both car seats are going to be right next to them. I've never had any bad luck when it comes down to airbags going off. Still don't want to risk my sons safety. Also not sure but would this need to be done at a dealership because of a lawsuit possibility?
