Passat (B6) :: Gear Selection Not Visible?

On my wolfsburg i noticed that the temperature it set in the middle of my MFD where on my old 2007 passat wagon it was on the right of the MFD and the temp was on the left? Is this the way it is on the wolfsburg?

I have a 99' GMC 1500 Sierra SLT w/5.3 Vortec V-8 w/460,000 miles (yup !!) I bought the p/u w/59,000 miles, and the gear-selection lever on the column has always been hard to move when selecting gears. My daughter drives the p/u, and is hard for her to select gears.

I started loosing a bunch of coolant on my tdi which is still under 36k and there is no visible leaks anywhere
Took the car to the dealer last night to get it checked out and they were ready to send me back home telling me there is no issue since they don't see any leaks under the car
Either way after telling them that I have already gone through 2 gallons of coolant they decided to top off the coolant and ask me to drive 200 miles.
I drove 156 miles last night since I need to get this issue resolved and now the coolant tank is empty again... sitting at the dealer while I'm typing this.

I am a clueless 2003 Volkswagen Passat 1.8L Turbo owner. My power steering line has a visible leak that I can see underneath the front bumper. The leak is now more like a hole and was caused by the line dragging after the car was in the shop. I guess someone bumped it or it got knocked loose, but at this point, I need to just get the line fixed. The leak is on a U shaped part of the line, and I can take a picture of it.
I also understand that the power steering fluid is not the standard type...where do they sell the kind I need?

Is the wiper on the passenger side supposed to be visible above the hood line when in a resting position? It looks as though there is room for it to retract under the hood line, but mine doesn't seem to. Not the end of the world, but I would prefer not to see anything creeping up in the passenger corner when I am looking out. Maybe the wrong blades installed keeping it from retracting?

You have more air from dash registers in MAX selection compared to Normal. Only thing that changes in system is recirculate to outside air. Defog and Defrost are not working as should be for conditions.
Cause: Ford put some material over the inlet inside of the cowl which restricts airflow from outside. Less than normal airflow will result in all selections other than MAX which takes air from cabin and not from outside.
The material may become clogged with dirt, pollen, & road film and also mildew causing odor or allergic reaction. This is a NHTSA recall type problem and should be fixed by Frod because of safety issues for malfunctioning defogger/defroster.
Not sure what years all affected. This is 2001 F150 XLT supercab 4x4 OffRoad with only 54000 miles.

Just bought a GX 460 and the radio is acting like it's possessed. The mode selection keeps cycling through from AM to FM1 to FM2 then says no disk found. It's like it has a mind of its own or someone is pushing the "mode" button continuously. It will not stop. The other functions like nav, climate, ect still work and the touch screen still work I just can't get the radio to stop changing sources.

I have noticed in my 2009 Honda Accord that the temperature of the heated air coming out of the dash vents drops when I select "all dash" as opposed to "mix dash and floor." It's significant enough to notice as it blows on my hands. But the dealer says the difference is within 5 degrees, which is within specs, so they won't do anything.
I don't think I can measure it myself since I can't fully jam my thermometer in the dash vent, so any reading would be contaminated by ambient temperature.

Recently our 2003 SF, 2.7 v6, has begun not recognizing the ''D'' selection. It seems to know you want ''R'' or n or P. It has given a P0705 code indicating a problem with the switch that governs this. Where is the switch located ? Is it available from local parts or would you go to a dealer to get one. Assuming I can get to it; do I need any special tools ? It ain't much fun if you cant drive it.

All of a sudden my tire pressure light is on saying low tire. But they are fine of course so I go to check what is up and the tire pressure selection is missing from the menu. Sitting still of course. Tried everything short of hooking up the vag tool but figured it could not make it reappear ??

My 99 Subaru Legacy Outback has an issue w/ the air/vent/defroster selections. The lights sometimes don't lite up and when that happens, the selection doesn't work. It sounds like the fan is working but the air is not coming out. If it's a vacuum leak, can I fix it by finding a leaky hose or is it an involved process?

I went thru a number of exterior LED lights for my Prius but none of them was visible and safe to be used during daylight until I found these vendor and model. I am very happy safely running full LED exterior except for the headlights. To have the proper blinking frequency on your turn signal lights, you will have to upgrade to an electronic flasher (see below).

Noticed that the Gen 3 black model seems to scratch very easily? In my ten years of owning cars, I've received less than 10 scratches. In 10 months of owning my Gen 3, I have now at least 5 pretty visible scratches. I do my best to park away from other cars, don't park by high pedestrian traffic streets, etc. I'm taking precautions I never took with my other cars and I still get rudely surprised almost monthly.

my sister has a 2003 accord v6. shes got about 70,000 miles on it. recently the radio display went black and nothing is visible. at the time the display went out, the audio was still working, just no display. if i recall correctly, it also displays the controls for the heat/ac controls also. Unfortunately, after the display blacked out, she had a separate, unrelated dead battery issue. a new battery was installed but now there's nothing because of the built in security feature that kicks in when the battery is disconnected. What the actual part is called that needs to be replaced? from what i read, its not the radio unit itself.

The GPS is not working. When I go to the setup/gps diagnostics screen, it says that there are no satellites visible. I live in middle Ga. soI know I should be getting a signal. Bought this car used and did not come with any software disk or anything, but I think that there is something that I am not doing right or step that I missed.

My prius 2010 II is giving bad mileage. I am getting 16.5 to 17 km/l. when I bought it (6 months ago) it was giving me about 22 to 25 km/l. And now it, not showing me the bar graphs , and green leaf car graph, which it was showing me when i bought it. I checked the battery by vehicle signal check . It gave me around 12.3v in the morning , after leaving off for a full night.

2010 ES 350 with 103k miles on it. I noticed what appeared to be oil in the muffler, it was visible on both sides. It was raining so perhaps the rain was just getting into the muffler tip and cleaning the carbon. The engine was very smooth, and nothing seemed out of the ordinary.

I replaced the thermostat, flushed the radiator and have the same problem. it can idle just fine but it gets hot driving less than 15 minutes. There are no visible leaks.
