Passat (B6) :: Emissions Garage Message And Yellow Engine Control Light Stayed On

I Encountered a problem today on my way back from shopping. I started the car as usual and noticed i was down on power and heard a weird noise from the exhaust in the back part of the car. I pulled over restarted and a message popped up saying Emissions Garage and a yellow engine control light stayed on. Got home popped the hood and i heard this turbo sound like in the imports. I am pretty sure its the air going back in to the turbo as if in the blow off valve wasn't doing its job. Also a weird noise on all the air intake pipe specially at the air filter.

I have a 06 passat wagon 1.9 tdi and had no major problems with it until today. we went to a city about 30 miles away from home. it was a pretty hot day so we had a/c on. We went out to do some shopping and when we got back to the car just as i turned ignition on i got a yellow control lighten up saying emissions garage.. i also noticed lower performance and couldn't hear the turbo.. when we got back home I plugged the battery out and left it there for about 10minutes then i plugged it back on. the control lit up again but i went 4 a spin and heard the turbo back on.. also the performance seemed as it should be.

After install. of a non original cruise control unit, the yellow eng. warning light is on all the time, my trip/fuel computer does not work, and the engine cuts out when driving, just for a sec, then it runs again. An OBD test says "speed sensor fault". My mechanic have not been able to find the problem.

About some four months ago, was driving home from work and the car lost almost all the power and an alert "emissions garage" came on on the display. I had it looked at the VW dealership in Malta and they told me that the turbo diaphragm got jammed and they managed to get it working agin without changing it. After 4 weeks the same....
Took it this time to my mechanic, who works only on VW's and he immediately blamed the diaphragm again so after checking it he changed the diaphragm with a second hand one and also the emissions control box. After driving it for two months .....the same problem once again....

I'm the orgional owner of a 2001 Passat 1.8T with manual transmission...It has 93,000 miles on it.
Last week, the check engine light came on and a "Emissions Workshop!" message light came on. It was on for a few days,then disappeared for a few days,only to come back.
I took it to Autozone for a reading. Here's the results:
"The PCM has determined that during testing,the fuel system for bank 1 was too lean.
Definition: Fuel trim bank one condition
Explanation: The powertrain control module uses the oxygen sensor to calculate the air/fuel ratio of the engine.
The computer has recognized a rich or lean condition on one engine bank only.
Probable Causes:1. If bank one and two codes set together fuel pressure or MAF Sensor
2. Oxygen sensor defective
3. Ignition misfire-repair
4. Fuel injector repair.
Someone here asked if my oil was recently changed-It was.
Driveability hasn't been affected,nor has mpg. The car drives as normal.
I need to go on a 1,000 mile trip in a few days,and don't think I'll have time to have the car serviced.

I bought a 2000 Passat GLS w/ the V6 a couple weeks ago, and the very next day after buying it, the CEL came on and something popped on saying Emissions Workshop. I waited a couple weeks to see if it would turn off, but it didn't so I took it to a mechanic.
The first time, they just said a couple codes were off so they reset the computer. About 20 miles later, the lights came back on. I took it back and they hooked it up to their computer again.
They said the o2 sensors were perfect, and it was most likely some sort of resistance in one of my cats. The car runs absolutely perfect. I just wanted to get some feedback from ya'll because I do not want to pay the money to have a cat replaced if I don't have to.

So, for the first time in 6 years and 82K miles, the engine light (malfunction indicator light) came on while driving and stayed on (no blinking... knock on wood). This is about a week after passing the emissions test. I turned the gas cap three ticks, so I'm hoping that the light will go off in a few days.
The manual seems to say that if it blinks you should proceed at reduced power and get it checked out immediately. Do I have to drive slow if it's not blinking? I'm a good two hours from home and I'd prefer to drive at my normal pace. This is probably nothing, right?

Drove fairly fast (160km/hr or 100 miles/hr) then took an exit down a ramp and had to stop at a red light. Noticed all of a sudden that the engine was running bit rougher and then noticed the yellow engine light blinking. I know to turn off the engine immediately when this occurs but then all of a sudden engine light turned off and car was running smooth again.
Car has been reliable for 7 years - proper maintained, synthetic oil, 171000km, timing belt changed, burns very little oil, good torque. Should I have it checked by the dealer (fantastic fair vw dealer)?

Driving on the highway today and when I started to accelerate fast I noticed my check engine light blinking yellow and also noticed loosing boost I think I can only reach maybe 10-12 psi, I am stage 1 revo and also it was 95 degrees out, what it could be, thinking misfiring? so would that mean new coil pack and spark plugs?

I have 2006 Honda civic my SRS indicator light came on and stayed on about a week and a half ago, Today while driving the car i turned the steering wheel and the horn went on by itself and even stayed on for a minute. Later the volume on the radio went off when i turned the steering wheel and then the cruise control light came on and stayed on, i can't' turn it off. The horn no longer works.

My check engine light has came on and I received these error codes
PO441 : Evaporative emissions control system incorrect purge flow.
PO 455 : Evaporative emissions control system pressure leak-large leak.
PO 446 : Evaporative emissions control system vent control circuit fault.
Also only my driver side fan is working, may be separate issue?

So I took my truck to get inspected/emissions done... And the emissions not ready message came back. What in the.... He said maybe put 100 miles or so on it from when I replaced the battery. Is that the answer? I've never seen such a thing.

So im new to this form and i have many questions about my car. I have a 2000 Passat 1.8 20v Turbo and my emissions light keeps coming on as soon as i start the car and start driving. there are two codes that came up when my buddy scanned it. ones P1128 and the other is P0411 Sec. Air Injection Incorrct flow. Also my sunroof only opens up it doesnt slid back can this be fixed?

My emissions workshop light is staying on now in my passat. I don't have a Vag-Com cable for my laptop yet so I scanned for codes with the generic code scanner at Advance Auto. It came up with something about the downstream 02's low voltage or something close to that. It has just over 100k on it now... is this a common issue with these cars? Is it usually the o2's that are the culprit or is it usually a Cat problem? I replaced the PCV hoses (those crappy wire loom looking pieces that fall apart under the engine covers) with much nicer fuel hose and barb fittings thinking that they might have been the culprit, but that was before I scanned it, it obviously didn't work. 2000 LX 4-Motion...

Started up my 6 cylinder 2005 Ford Escape with 187,000 miles on the engine this morning and after 5 minutes a check engine light came on and the car shut off on its own. I restarted the car and then I got a dash message "Service Emissions" and the car shudders a little when driving. I am going to the autoparts store later for a OBD scanner code check.

I have VW 99 18L automatic Passat. Suddenly, air bag yellow warning light is ON . There has been no accident or crash. Maybe its caz I pulled the seat-belt too roughly, or maybe there is something else to the story. I don't have a scanner. I don't want to go to a dealer/showroom to get the airbags replaced.

I got a 2013 Turbo. This morning I gave it 90% throttle and I got shaking, check Engine light flashed on and stayed on until I layed off the gas. It drives fine under regular throttle, but for ie. Passing someone on the highway.. Yeah ain't happening, idk if it just won't downshift, or the turbo is acting up.
I have an Injen intake and Had it installed since day one or two of ownership. Bought the car brand new, it has 43k miles, and I usually give it WOT a few times a day ()
But it's weird how all of a sudden it's doing this, I tried restarting the car, leaving it to rest for a while and same result. I personally think it's the tranny not being able to downshift, even holding a gear at high RPM, it shakes. Turbo sounds like it's working fine but who knows what's going on under the hood.
