Passat (B6) :: AFS Light Blinking / Not Leveling And Sometimes Not Firing

I got my AFS ballast replaced (dealer $480) and now the lights work, so no more worrying bout tickets! But sometimes the light won't turn on. Like 8/10 times it will but then it wont. The light is still blinking on the dash and now the lights won't level!

I bought a 01 passat with a bad turbo I drove it home as I was getting home the STOP low oil pressure light came on and I parked it the engine had a lifter rattle but not knocking I went to start next day and Have no fire on first two cylinders (only two I checked), where to start? I pulled coil pack/plug tube out and hooked a plug in to check fire on first 2 cylinders got no spark....

Since i have owned my car the brake and ABS lights have been on (bought it like 2 months ago) i have a solid ABS light, and as long as the ebrake is down the brake light blinks.
Through searching I found that i most likely have a bad abs module. Before I take it out and send it to get repaired, i was wondering if there is anything else that i could check.
I also used VAGCOM to try and talk to the brakes and there is no response from the controller.

I have a 99 VW Passat wagon with 140K miles. 4,000 miles ago, the oil pressure light was triggered and I had about $1200 worth of work on the engine (oil change replaced with syntec, replaced oil filter, washer, pump, restrictor, sealant, and gasket). Last week, the oil pressure light was blinking again so I took it back to the same service shop at our local dealership. They said that I need a new engine.

So I am on my way to the store this morning and the check engine light starts blinking. After I get out of the store I try to start the car so I can drive the mile back home and then have it towed to the dealer. The car is only able to drive at like 1-3mph. I changed the cam follower 6k ago and the car only has 43k.
I'm thinking this seems like a fuel delivery/cam follower type of issue. At the moment my plan is to have AAA tow the car home so I can see if its a follower issue. If it is I think I'm going to have to take off my downpipe and put the stock one back on. When I put the car in neutral and step on the throttle I get no revs at all.

My check engine lights been on forever, like every VW, but now it's blinking fast, and the car isn't running right. It's messed up AGAIN, it's running really bad, like misfiring and not making power. It's shaky feeling in the throttle and power, almost like it's going to stall but it doesn't. What the problem is?

Haven't posted in a long while because...on the coldest day of winter this year (it was around 5 degrees) I took off for work early one morning and before I made it to the highway, my oil light started blinking...I kind of ignored it for a moment because I have a small leak that requires I add about a quart a week (ok maybe this was a good leak already) in any event I had just topped off the oil that morning so I knew I should be alright and since it was so cold I reasoned that it was just an electrical fluke that was gonna clear up once we got warmed up.
Shortly after that I noticed I wasn't really accelerating as quickly as would be normal...so I kinda thought about the blinking light for a second and ended up shutting her down. When I hopped out to look under the hood there was oil everywhere...as well as a trail leading all the way back to my spot in the driveway. I ended up towing her home and she has been sitting since.
Today was the first nice day and I couldn't wait to see what was up so I filled her up with oil again and waited for the leak...nothing. So I put her on the charger and figured it would have to be fairly obvious where the leak was coming from if I fired her up for a second.
I have to say she sounded awful...valves clambering away...but the oil leak revealed itself and I shut her down immediately. I am really hoping that I didn't do that much internal damage and that all the valve noise is primarily from it not being started for so long...but I guess I will have to wait and see on that.
The leak is coming from just to the right of and slightly above the oil filter casing. Its definitely not the casing itself or anything to do with the oil filter...it appears to be just above this thing, what it is but it has a large bolt holding it on (large like the 36mm on the oil filter itself).

'99 Passat GLS - 79,000 miles - no mods ... Solid Check Engine Light was on for about 2 weeks...last time it was on, it was a fuel cap issue so I took my time with it. Well, all of the sudden on 4/14/03, on my way to work, (less than 5 minutes after starting the car) the car starts to ride hard (like going over grated pavement)...check engine light starts to blink! I pulled over. Eventually the light went back to solid.
Tonight (on 4th ignition sequence since picking up the car this AM) - the solid Check Engine Light came on again.
I had a friend who went through this with a 2000 Passat GLS - different dealer claimed it was the MAF, then the O2 sensors, then....she eventually took it to carmax to unload it.

The engine light in my 2001 Passat all of a sudden started blinking when I started it this afternoon - for no apparent reason. It feels like it's going to stall and is idling kind of loud.

I have a 2005 VW Passat. The front left and right axle were replaced and since then, I have noticed that the ASR (ESP) hazard light will blink and engage the brakes when I hit 60 mph. The light is never constant, it will only blink on and off a couple of times. I've taken it back to the same shop...they claim they've checked the sensors but the problem still persists. I've also taken it to an authorized VW dealership...they indicate it's a problem with the sensors...obviously, I could have them try and fix it, but hesitate to pay for something that the other garage should fix.

2002 Passat GLS, 1.8T, 98K miles.
Was driving home tonight and nearly didn't make it. A few miles down the road I hit the gas hard going up a hill but the Passat kind of lunged a little and lost a lot of power and the engine emblem starting blinking. Coasted down a hill and it stopped and all was well again. From here on I am going careful up hills and not accelerating too fast.
I drive about 30 miles, 10 miles to go and I have to pull a tall hill. Going up this hill the light starts blinking again and I lose most of my power, engine feels like its not hitting on all cylinders and the turbo must be out. Barely make it home going about 40 mph. My check engine light has been on for quite some time, in fact I have had reset about 6-8 times with replacing sensors, air mass meters, etc. Could this be the timing belt?

My 99 Passat is making a clicking sound from the fuse box, and the alarm light is blinking on and off repeatedly. My remote key no longer locks or unlocks the car. I took out fuse 38 and it stops making sound and stops the blinking, the fuse is not blown. Any clue on what to do. The other fuse for power locks and security look good also.

The auto leveling warning light has come on a couple of time now on my daughters 04 rx330. The lights do adjust when vehicle is started so the motors are working. I assume this leaves the sensor? I will also note that the lights are operated in the "auto" mode and the warning light has come on when just the daytime running lights are on. If this sounds like a sensor issue, great, probably a fix that I can take care of. 1st question, is there a sensor front and rear? And for question #2, where is it or they located?

The dealership states that this is not a big problem and that the headlights will not be affected but the malfunction light stays on and the exclamation point is on the dashboard. The fix: replace the rear sensor harness where corrosion on the connection and pin was found - new harness assembly needed. What about just replacing the pin? Dealer states you cannot cut the wire and replace because the wires are not sealed.

My 2005 Prius with around 60K has the occasional Headlight Leveling Warning Light. My question is how serious is this? Do I need to go to the dealer or can I wait on it? The lights still work fine.

Drove fairly fast (160km/hr or 100 miles/hr) then took an exit down a ramp and had to stop at a red light. Noticed all of a sudden that the engine was running bit rougher and then noticed the yellow engine light blinking. I know to turn off the engine immediately when this occurs but then all of a sudden engine light turned off and car was running smooth again.
Car has been reliable for 7 years - proper maintained, synthetic oil, 171000km, timing belt changed, burns very little oil, good torque. Should I have it checked by the dealer (fantastic fair vw dealer)?

My 2.8 v6 2000 has been acting wierd when shifting it kind of feels like the clutch is slipping its through acceleration so when the rpm's are climbing it feels like it is slipping but than above 3 rpms it accelerates with no problem, when it feels like it is slipping the check engine light blinks, obviously telling you to stop driving, but than the check engine light goes back to a solid warning and stops blinking. just had my oil changed and after that my check engine light came on solid, now it is sluggishly bumpy when accelerating and feels like the clutch is not catching,Wish i knew what it could be.

Driving on the highway today and when I started to accelerate fast I noticed my check engine light blinking yellow and also noticed loosing boost I think I can only reach maybe 10-12 psi, I am stage 1 revo and also it was 95 degrees out, what it could be, thinking misfiring? so would that mean new coil pack and spark plugs?

So I washed the car today, and when I was done I had the Parking Brake error. Now the button keeps blinking and the parking brake light on the dash keeps blinking too. I don't think the brake is actually engaged, but I am afraid of pushing the button now in case it locks up in "engaged mode". That way I can't drive to work tomorrow. I know this may just be the button, but driving around with this dinging sound and blinking lights is annoying.
