When I start my passat, it blows cold air after a couple minutes as it should. I'll start driving and the air continues to blow ice cold air as it has for years BUT as soon as I stop in a parking lot for a couple minutes or park in a driveway and the car is not in motion, the air blows warm dead air and stays that muggy way until I drive again which then it'll be ice cold again.

View 5 RepliesI made another thread about when I turn the AC on, it blows hot for a few minutes, sometimes almost 10. I decided to go get a recharge kit and when I plug it in, the PSI is almost 60-65. It should be around 35-40. Is this normal for these cars?
View 4 RepliesI can't figure this one out. Sometimes I turn it on all the way and it blows very little, barely noticeable and then it comes on eventually. Sometimes it works fine. Sometimes it seems to come on if I hit a bump or something and then off.
View 14 RepliesI have 06 Passat 6M with 75k. When I let off or get in the gas when I am moving I will feel a clunking feeling. I dont think its the flywheel since there is no rattling like I have heard dual mass flywheels make when they fail. I dont think its the trans but I could be wrong. Don't think its the diff either since it makes no noises nor does it have resistance feeling when turning.
Pretty sure it's not the axles. I had a boot replaced within weeks I found it was torn a little. It was torn at most 6 weeks. I am thinking subframe is shifting or crappy dog bone mount or maybe even a motor/trans mount.
My 05 wagon's a/c seems to be acting up. It takes about 30 minutes of running the a/c before it blows cold air. It's under warranty so I'll be taking it in.
View 3 RepliesWhen I turn my car to the left or right i hear a clicking sound. Usually happens when I am moving slow, like when backing into a driveway or parking spot. Could this be a tie rod, ball joint, or what? How can I be sure before just replacing parts? I need to have this fixed before I get my alignment, which has to happen before I get my rims.
View 2 RepliesA few months ago I had the oil changed in my 06 Passat and they forgot to reset the service engine display. When I stopped by later, the regular guy was not there so the mechanic tried to reset it...after which , when the car starts moving, the odometer disappears and is replaced with the speed in kilometers. Nothing important, the trip odometer is still there but I think I would prefer the original setting.How to get my miles back?

View 5 RepliesSo, for some reason my 2004 has had a vibration ever since I bought it. This vibration occurs when in R or D when the car is not moving (stop light, parking e.g.). As soon as I accelerate the vibration goes away. After I bought the car I took it to the dealer to have them fix it and they replaced the engine mounts which made it a little better but not much. Recently the vibration has gotten significantly worse and I'm not sure why. I had the car into the dealer about a month ago to replace an A/C solenoid. Also, Tucson was hit by some torrential rain and I got caught driving through some water deep enough to nearly stall the engine out.
View 2 RepliesWhen I turn on the heater on at any temp and fan setting the A/C automatically turns on (compressor and condensor fan turns on) . Engine temp comes up and stays at 190. I can turn up the heat to HI and still cold air blows. All buttons and LEDs work on the climatronic, is it the climatronic that is bad?
View 1 RepliesMy g/f's 98 Passat 1.8T has been pretty bad on being able to blow hot air inside, and now that its colder out its even worse.
Ever since she got the car, the coolant temp gauge is always at it's coldest, so I'm thinking its time for a greentop sensor. Her coolant right now is a lil low so, in the meantime, I'll be headed to the dealer to get both a new CTS and some G12.
Her fan does blow air, but could there be anything else wrong that would keep it from blowing hot air?
Have 2003 V6 FWD Passat. A/C blows hard but quit blowing cold. Noticed last week, that sitting for a long light, A/C would quit blowing cold, then cycle on again every 20-30 sec. After worked fine. Yesterday no cold air.
Read on forums about the 384 relay. My electric fan is NOT coming on. Started car, turned A/C on high, and checked voltage on connecter to fan. was negligible. Car was fully warmed up, so i figure voltage should be 14.0 VDC
Making assumption that it is either the AC relay 384, or the fan relay but there are two, a 214 and a 213.
The title pretty much explains it. Coming home today started hearing a squeal/whistle while at highway speed - almost sounds like the brake wear indicator tabs that GM is so fond of. Thought it might be the brakes, but it didn't stop with brake application and continued after coming to a full stop. Also, surging at idle, which seems to be reduced when the A/C compressor is on. The squeal happens both with and without A/C.

View 7 RepliesI have a Buick park avenue 1998, 3.8L V6 engine. the problem is: The ac vent on the driver's side blows cold air but on the passenger side blows EXTREMELY hot air. no matter how cold or hot you set the ac it blows at the same temperature on both sides. Florida heat is setting in and my passengers are melting. I am really hopping that is not something to bad and that I can fix it myself. Tip: this started happening after i had the alternator and the battery replaced.

View 13 RepliesI installed an Old Air products aftermarket air only AC unit in my 71 F-100 and this unit has run perfect for 14 years until this afternoon. I ran the AC on the way to work, cold as usual, and when I left work it will only blow hot air. The clutch is working with the fan switch, the fan is working at all speeds, the compressor is turning and the fuses are all good. What happened?
View 2 RepliesEvery thing was perfect till suddenly my A/C blows hot air on hot summer days when it over 104 , everything works motor clutch , fans so when its hot outside the motor & clutch turns on & off and wont cool it all started when I refilled my AC, I might of over charge a little. Not sure how to fix.
