View 42 RepliesHow do you level or adjust the headlights on the b6 passat? I have the 2.0t halogen lamps but it seems like my headlights are pointing down???? Can i do this myself?
View 2 RepliesHow do you adjust the low beam headlights for a 06 Passat? I have found the vertical adjustment now I'm trying to find the horizontal adjustment. For some reason the lights are aimed way out to either the left or the right. Has been like this since I bought the car. Had the car a month, only 42,000 and it's already been in the shop 3 times. Everything from ignition coil, to steering column and comfort control module.
View 5 RepliesSettings for B7 S model? Possible to adjust the timer for the headlights to remain on/off after shutting the car off? Seems there are minimal to no settings for this model. Wonder if a firmware update or the dealer can adjust this and other features?
View 4 RepliesI've noticed that my left low beam headlight is considerably higher (aimed) than my right. I have concluded that my left one is high, as opposed to my right side being low. How to adjust only the vertical adjustment of the low beam headlights?
I have looked under the hood and saw some off-white plastic adjusters but I'm not sure. I don't' want to go twisting and turning things willy-nilly. Yes, I did scour the manual but no mention of adjustment. Yes, it tells how to remove the headlights (!) but not how to adjust.
I understand this can be done with a phillips screwdriver inserted to the sprockets almost like a gear.
My question is, does turning the driver clockwise move the light up or down?
The 2010 elantra touring gls has headlights that are angled too low. The low beams project toward the ground and its especially bad on hills, making it difficult to see more than 50 feet in front of you. The high beams are misaligned as well, the passenger side higher than the driver side. When the original owner went to the dealer after purchasing, they said they could not further adjust the angle. I find this hard to believe, but she drove it for 6 years like this.

View 1 RepliesInstalled a HID conversion kit last night and I was wondering how to adjust the headlights. I did use the adjustment knob on the back of the light unit but that only goes up and down. How about left and right?
View 1 RepliesSo I installed the RS*R lowering springs last week and noticed my lights are aiming low. I searched about how to adjust the auto leveling arm and crawled under the car. The rear arm has no slide to the bolt like I have seen in pictures of other Lexus cars. I don't really want to adjust the lights themselves I would like to level the arm back like stock angle.
View 11 RepliesI recently got coilovers installed, and tonight was the first time that i drove at night with them on. My headlights are point down and is not getting the distance that it use to have, how to adjust (preferably with pictures or videos) my headlight so that they are pointing more upwards? I thought I've seen a thread on how to do it but i can't find it anymore. I drive a 2014 is250....
View 14 RepliesI'm lowered about 1 inch in the front and when I drive at night its tough to see about 15-20 feet past my car. Its very bright in that range but past 20 feet it is very dark if there are no street lights. Any manual way to adjust the headlights?
View 6 RepliesI can't seem to get the headlights to adjust vertically on my 2006 GS430... I was able to do the horizontal and high beam adjustments done fine. It's just that when I try to adjust the vertical it does nothing... there's that gauge with the two bubble containers that you look at. When i look through the small window at it and screw the adjustment, all it does is move that little tube with the bubble either forward or backward. The bubble doesn't move. It seems to be stuck on the end where the front of the car is. The whole thing just moves!!! when i screw it clockwise, it will move the tube to the left and when i screw it counterclockwise it will move it to the right. I can move it all the way to the left or all the way to the right but the bubble just will not move.
View 4 RepliesMy pax headlight on my '09 Sonata is significantly shooting left compared to what it was, how to adjust them horizontally? I know how to do vertical but can't find anything for left and right adjustments.
View 1 RepliesI installed my HID kit and it looks great. Not quite as bright as I'd like but that's not the concern. The concern is that they seem to be pointing too low. When I drive up behind another car, the cutoff point is just below the license plate. How I can adjust my headlights so they point slightly higher?
View 12 RepliesI had H&R springs installed today. I have a problem now. When driving with the headlights on i noticed that while braking the self leveling in our headlights seem to be freaking out. Every time I press the breaks the lights are constantly trying to adjust. What this could be?
View 12 RepliesI have a 2010 Santa Fe and can't seem to adjust the head rests to move them further back. They seem to slant towards the front of the car which is hard on the neck. I can move them up and down but not back. According to the manual I should be able to pull them forward and then they will snap back to the back position but that doesn't seem to work. Also , I'm not sure how far I can pull them forward.
View 24 RepliesNeed to adjust doors for a tighter fit? When going over bumps, I'm hearing fabric-rubbing-noise from the driver door and passenger rear door.
View 2 RepliesToday I received my passat from the dealer's body shop after a rear end accident. Rear lid, bumper, reinforcement, lights, parking sensors, fuse and front seat belts replaced. So I suppose that no one touched the front end except for the towing bar cover. But I drove the car and found that the hood is shaking at high speed (200+ kmph) which is odd to me since the car was rock solid.
I opened the hood and felt that the release handle was loose ( can't feel the mechanism any more). Visually the right side of the hood is higher than the fender. Also pushing on the hood seems that it doesn't set on the rubber adjusters (there are 4 adjusters)
After making few adjustments (only the outer adjusters ) the hood is even higher than before although it is tight and the release handle felt good.
How can I lower the hood while keeping it tight?
