Passat (B6) :: 2006 - How To Replace Wiper Motor

Mar 9, 2009

Have to replace the wiper motor in '06 Passat 2.0T? Do you need some type of puller to get the wiper arms off the spindles so the black plastic cover can be removed to access the wiper motor?

Passat (B5) :: How To Replace Windshield Wiper Motor

The windshield wipers aren't working properly. I can hear the motor trying to work, and either blade will try to work but get stuck against each other. I checked the fuses and nothing is burned out. I'm not sure if it is related to the problem but yesterday my husband was washing the car and I noticed that he had pulled the wiper blades away from the windshield so they were sticking up in the air. We filled the wiper fluid. I'm wondering if something got broken when he opened the hood without putting the blades down? They seem out of sync. He also did an oil change. Could he have done something to cause this problem while doing the oil change?

I want to open up and take a look at the motor functions, but I'm not sure where it's located and how to get to it.

Passat (B6) :: 2006 - Right Side Wiper Arm Little High?

Windshield wiper on the passenger side is set a little high for my liking. The other VWs that I have had including my '06 Jetta have it parked down below the 4in. dark black band along the bottom of the windshield so that that driver does not see the arm in view when driving.

The dealer doesn't think it can be lowered and I can understand that there are detentes involved where it attaches...move it down one detente and he may think it will rub on the car's body.

Do others have this wiper in this parked position, or is it below the dark bland out of your vision when driving?

Phaeton :: 2004 - Passenger Side Wiper Motor Does Not Work

I have an O4 Phaeton here - the passenger wiper motor doesn't work.. After removing unit - verifying mechanical operation I've found that it's function just fine. However there is no power to connector. When wipers are running I supplied power with power probe and wiper operates just fine.

Cant find location and # for what I presume is a bad fuse. I looked for fuse diagrams all over and cant find one.

Ford Ranger / B-Series :: 1993 - Wiper Motor Removal?

How do you remove this clip holding the wiper linkage to the back of the motor? I can't see what kind of clip it is to know how to remove it. Ford says to remove the wiper pivot and let it drop. Is that necessary? I can't barely get to the back of the motor so I'm having to feel the clip and remove it but since I don't even know what kind of clip it is it makes it so much harder. Does the cowl cover not come off or is it just this access panel?

2001 Dodge Caravan in which the rear wiper motor has failed. With the dash mounted rocker switch in the neutral position (Neither intermittent or a continuous wipe) I have three wires back at the motor. One would be the ground, one intermittent and I presume the other continuous. When the ignition switch is in the on position I have one wire that is hot and is not affected by what position the rocker switch is in.

Hyundai - Accent :: 2002 - Motor Runs But Rear Wiper Doesn't Move

During recent cold/ice spell, went to use my rear wiper and heard a pop (there was ice around the wiper base), then the wiper was flipping all over the place. Now I can hear the motor running but the wiper doesn't move. Plus, I can easily move it around by hand - no resistance. Do I have to replace the whole motor or is there possibly a gear or linkage between the motor and arm that stripped or popped away, so that can be fixed? 2002 Hyun Accent.

Sebring - Chrysler :: 2005 - Wiper Motor Not Working / Gauges Started Flashing On And Off

It's a 2005 Chrysler Sebring with a 2.4 DOHC. A couple weeks ago I tried to use the wipers and nothing happened - at all. The next day the gauges inside the car went hay wire, started flashing on and off. Turned out the car needed a new battery and alternator. Replaced both and the car has been perfectly fine - except for the wipers. I checked the wiper fuse and it wasn't blown so I pulled the cowl, unplugged the motor, turned the key on, turned the wiper switch to full speed and then tested for voltage at the plug and got almost 12 volts when testing several terminal combinations.

I thought for sure I had it figured out so went ahead and bought a remanufactured wiper motor but nothing happened when I plugged it in. I thought maybe since I didn't mount it it wasn't grounded so went ahead and did that and still nothing. Thinking maybe it was defective I returned it and went to a different auto parts store and bought another one, hooked it up and got the same results. So then I tested all nine relays in the relay control center and they all passed. So now I'm thinking the only thing left to test is the wiper switch. Am I correct?

And also I'd love to bench test the original motor just to verify that it works but don't know which terminals to connect to. I've searched the internet with two different browsers and came up with nothing. The motor in question is a Bosch 05-02-14 41. And then underneath it has 0390 241 7411 12V 058 written on it. The terminals are labeled: 31b, 31, 53 and 53b. And since the OE replacement motor for this car is a Cardone 40-3026, which terminals to use to bench test that one, I could then figure out which terminals to use on the Bosch.
