View 8 RepliesI'm trying to figure out where the horn is. Since mine has graciously decided to not work!
View 7 RepliesMy horns aren't working. I'm getting power at the horn fuse, but no power at the horn connectors. Where is the horn relay located? Is it in the fusebox under the hood? There are many relays, but none of them labeled "horn".
View 7 RepliesJust received a set of new horn kit from piaa.. Now wonder how can I remove the radiator cover properly for the horn replacement.. Or do I have to remove the bumper?
View 2 RepliesWhat is the location of this? It's fuse 37. But it's neither under the steering wheel, or drivers side engine compartment....
View 5 RepliesWhere is the horn relay for a 2007 Buick Lucerne?
View 3 RepliesMy horn isn't working. The under-dash fuse is OK and was going to check the horn relay, but can't figure out which one it is despite numerous FTE and Google searches. I pulled the cover on 2 power distribution boxes under the hood, driver's side. One box has 2 relays. The other has 4. Which one controls the horn?
Then...how do I test it to see if it's good/bad?
My horn suddenly stays on when I hit the horn and it doesn't beep when I lock the door with the key fob. Only way to turn it off is to shut off the truck. I thought it may be a faulty horn relay. I've asked many mechanics where the horn relay is located and every one gives a different answer. Under the hood, in the driver side kick panel, under the dash, near the horn itself. Where the horn relay is located on a 2004 F-150....
View 1 RepliesAttempting to debug the Horn not working on my 2003 Ford F450, The fuse is good (shown as #37 15 amps) so next I would like to check the Horn relay.
View 5 RepliesMy alarm horn is malfunctioning and i'm trying to figure all this out. My normal horn on the steering wheel does not function unless the key is in the ignition. My other cars all honk without the ignition on.
View 1 RepliesHow to disable the horn from chirping on a Passat limited without hooking it up to a computer?
View 7 RepliesWhere the horn is mounted on 2.0T? The regular "honk" horn, not the separate alarm horn. Horn is sounding a bit muffled and I wanted to check for a loose bracket or debris/wet leaves, etc. I took a quick look and couldn't spot it.
View 8 RepliesI went to an independent repair shop to try and have my rain sensor and window up and down by remote(vag) he got the vag tricks to work but the alarm wouldn't respond.
He sent me to the dealer to reset everything they reset things but the alarm still doesn't beep when you turn it on. of course the dealer reset all the vag tricks. I also checked the ATA on the mfi but nothing ...
When I start the ignition, the horn goes off for about 1 or 2 seconds. While engine is on the horn is not operational (I press and nothing).
2006 Passat 2.0T
How I can disable the horn toot each time I want to lock the car? The lights flashing is sufficient I think.
View 14 RepliesMy alarm is arming but no horn sound. No horn when the ignition is not on. I get flashing lights when the alarm is armed and set off, but no horn. What this could be? Is there a separate horn for the alarm? And where is it located?
View 8 RepliesI am having strange problem with my alarm horn. Some days ago alarm went off midnight and I had to leave the trunk open to stop it. Later in morning I found that when I lock the car with remote it doesn't sound but on pressing panic button it sounds well. I have checked water leaks, damp carpet, re-programmed remote, re-connected battery, got new FOB batteries and all door and trunk latches; all are fine. I ran OBD II and VAG COM but no codes found. On locking it locks all doors and hazard light blinks but horn do not sound.
View 6 RepliesIt's under the hood or inside the car
View 2 RepliesMy driver side horn is not working but the passenger side is. Before I bring it to the dealer, is there a fuse for the horn?
View 4 Replies2010 Passat wagon. The locking horn chirp on the Passat is way too loud. I know I can turn it off, but I was wondering, if can change horn to a chirp instead. (I think this locking horn is different from the actual horn on the car, but I'm not positive) My Touareg chirp has more of a bird chirp sound which is much more subtle that the fog horn style of the Passat. If I lock the Passat late at night it wakes up everyone in the house. Also, how do you access the horn, it sounds like it is inside the passenger front fender.
View 4 RepliesIs there a way to turn off the overzealous seatbelt alarm? It chimes constantly when the seatbelt isn't on, even when the car is in park. Sometimes I unbuckle my seatbelt to get my crap together before I get out of the car, but its hot here so I like to leave the AC running while get set. I know some cars have some obscure series of button presses to turn this off. Also is there a way to stop the horn from honking when I press the lock button on the remote?
