I have a problem with turn signal. When I switch it on it blinks one or two times, and then stops. It is for both directions. Where might be a problem? The switch or relay?
View 4 RepliesWhile I was driving this morning, I noticed that my turn signal was not staying on. Basically it would blink once and then go out. No ticking either. Seems like some kind of short. The hazard light blinks but with an irregular pattern.

View 3 RepliesI forgot something my battery went dead and it got jumped (left lights on) and now i am getting the 4x4h light blinking it blinks 10 times and then stops and after about a min or so it blinks 10 times again and i am also getting a low oil message on the message center all this started after the battery went dead?

For some reason, the Hazard switch clicks a few times after using the turn signals (randomly), or while driving it will start clicking for a few seconds. The lights do not flash. it is only the audible sound coming from the hazard switch area.
Where does that sound come from? the hazard switch? Would replacing the switch with a new one fix it?
When I turn on the turn signal it blinks once or twice and stops, but my emergency signal works! Could it be relay??
View 3 RepliesI'm having a weird issue with my passenger side turn signal light. It's more of an annoyance than an actual problem. When I turn on my headlights both yellow turn signal lights also usually turn on but the passenger side one is not turning on anymore. The odd thing is that it still blinks as normal when I engage the turn signal. I replaced the bulb but it did not resolve the issue. I'm thinking it's an electrical short somewhere. It's not the wiring in the headlight housing because I tried an old housing I kept when I replaced my headlights last year and I still had the same issue. What I should check first?

View 14 RepliesI have a 1996 Volvo 960. The turn signal light on the right side of the car stays on at all times. Left blinker works. Hazards come on but dont blink. I have checked all bulbs and replaced any that did not look perfect. Did not fix problem. Next I checked all the fuses related to any lights. No fuses blown or damaged. I am now to the point where I would like to first replace the flasher relay and if that doesnt work I will replace the hazard switch.
I am under the belief that the flasher relay is behind the ashtray, and I have it pulled apart to gain a visual. I have referenced several sites to find a diagram for the relays but most are of the 840 model or of the 960 prior to 1994. My relays are NOT on one panel behind the ashtray...they are on two... one on each side of the center hump. Each must be accessed by removing the panels under the dash. Since I am unable to find a diagram or picture of the relay panels for the 1996 960 I am stuck and unsure which one should be pulled and tested or replaced.
needed to replace the turn signal switch on my 91 caprice. when reassembling i could not seem to get the steering locking mech to engage the way it should. I would like a diagram or photo illustration of the correct position of those parts.

A few days later, I discovered that the left turn signal stops working when I apply the break. Also, when I'm using cruise control and use my left turn signal, the cruise control stops maintaining speed.

Cleaned it up and it works like new now.

View 5 RepliesStarted truck, used windshield washer and noticed High Beam Indicator was lit on dash. Headlight switch not on. Drove to Ford dealer, turned off truck, high beams would not shut off. Dealer replaced the Turn Signal/wiper/High beam switch assembly. Dealer had one in stock. Service manager said they have replaced a few of these Switches. So if your High Beams come on without the headlight switch on you cannot turn them off even if you shut off and exit truck. Also the "You left your lights on warning chime" does not sound when you exit truck.

I bought the new switch, but don't see how to get it out without taking the whole steering wheel off. I can't get to the screws on it at all. I got the plastic covers off, but can't see how to get the switch out.
View 3 RepliesExample, if I'm turning the wheel to the left with the left turn signal on there will be a LOUD click, click, click ect. sound from the column. The sound is louder than the turn signal relay and can be heard with the radio on.
Today is the third time I've brought it in to have fixed and now they tell me it is "normal". They came to the conclusion that it is "normal" because two other trucks on their lot make a noticeable clicking sound and one is just as loud as mine. However, My truck JUST STARTED making the noise a few months ago and was quiet when I originally bought it.
I know this is not a big problem ,but it is annoying and I want it fixed. Anyways, my Ford dealer had bailed out on me so how do I fix it myself?

The turn signals stop blinking after a few blinks on my 2001.5 Passat 4Motion. There are no burned out bulbs, no aftermarket lighting, nor any aftermarket audio. The problem also happens when using the emergency flashers. The lights will blink for as little as two or as many as 15 blinks and then just stop. Is this a relay switch? Where is it? Can I get to it without taking the dang dash out of the car?

What to check and how to check/ replace parts I need to get it working again is there a flasher inside the steering column. or is there just a relay on the side where the fuses are ?
