View 13 RepliesMy torque converter is on the way out so I need to look for a new one. I'm pretty new at the transmission thing but I was told by my indy that my torque converter is on the way out. My problem is that I can't find the part number for my torque converter. I have a 2000 1.8t tip ATW.
View 3 RepliesAs the title implies I need the part # for the OEM VW Stretch bolt that holds the Torque Arm insert in place. I've had the mount on my car for a few months now and I've grown tired of it.
I re-used the OEM bolt the first time and I think I'm better off replacing it as it may not be wise to unbolt it and re-torque it for a third time. Looking for the part # for the stretch bolt? I believe it's 21mm.
What is the part number for the drivers side aluminum tranny bracket(automatic)? Or a how to to remove it, cuz mine is fractured badly and needs replaced.
View 3 RepliesI've got a 2001.5 v6 passat w/ auto and my shift knob has this cool burl veneer on it. I think it's real wood but it's pretty thin and it's got cracks on the front and the back. I can't see any simple way to remove the stick so that I can try to glue it. How to do that. But it's a standard tiprtonic shifter ... probably the standard on that model.
View 3 RepliesI am trying to remove the shift knob and the steps are entirely different than the DSG knobs from the GTI; You take just the boot off (not the assembly) then underneath is a hose clamp which needs to be removed. (this is not on the GTI version); I cannot figure out how to get this clamp off; I guess you need hose clamp pliers? And then do you need a new hose clamp? Won't it ruin the clamp?

View 4 RepliesWhere I can find information on how to swap out the shift know on an automatic transmission in my 2003 Passat GLX? I bought a new knob but don't know how to get the old one off.
View 1 RepliesI'm trying to swap out the shift boot of my 2004 (B5.5) Passat 1.8T 4Motion and running into trouble. According to the instructions from the new Red Line shift boot, I should be able to separate the two collars that hold the boot to the knob. However, the white post that's part of the knob assembly has a piece that's bigger than the lower black collar, preventing it from being removed. Is there something I'm missing? How can I remove the boot without damaging the existing knob assembly?

My driver's seat is broken. Specifically the part in the middle that lets one adjust the front to back position and it's connection to the front bottom of the seat. I'm hoping this isn't all one unit as I'd rather not buy a new seat.
I can edit the pictures to point out what's wrong if it's not obvious.
Is the 25th AE part number, 1J1-941-017N, for the passaenger side the same for the 20th AE. My gut tells me yes, but i can't find it on a search.
View 6 RepliesI've started retrofitting foglights into my mother's 2012 Tiguan (S 4motion). All of the parts were dealer ordered, but twice now they've sent me the wrong switch. The mounting/locking mechanism is the wrong size (too large on the new switches). In addition, the second switch had an "auto" selection.
The original part number was 3C8941431F C1F-T shown on the left here:
The two part numbers they have shipped so far are:
3C8-941-431-G-XSH and 3C8-941-431-E-XSH
I need a standard headlight switch, no auto, with fog (front only is fine).
The MDI cable that came with my car is way too short.. What is the part number or where I can get a longer version of this cable?
View 4 RepliesI need to get the part number of the wire harness connector that clicks into the right abs sensor connector. The code for the connector is A4 but I wasn't able to find any info about it online. This is for a 2009 Toyota Prius. car got into an accident and the wire harness connector was cut.
