This morning my daughter was burned by the rider's side heater in the seat. It was only set on "3". She got a burn on her hand when she put her hand down to shift on the seat.

View 8 RepliesMusty odor TSB. I noticed today that when my car is parked and idling my interior lights and MFD "surge" when the seat heater is on, is there a TSB for this?
View 6 RepliesI had my car in the shop to have the seat-back recline motor replaced several weeks ago and just noticed that the seat no longer reclines (again) and now neither of the seat heaters work anymore. The seat did recline when I left the dealer but I didn't check the seat heaters. Is it possible a fuse for the seating heat unit blew? Unfortunately I can't find my owner's manual to look up the fuse schematics.
View 5 RepliesNow that the cold weather is here I wanted to fire up the seat heater, and no heat was to be had. The buttons on the dash light up. Both seats are out. Car is a 2011 TDI with 39000 miles and the cold weather pkg.
View 10 RepliesTest drove the v yesterday. Heat from the Seat heaters was near nonexistent. They are important to me for therapeutic reasons. Any experience with seat heaters, have an issue with them or find them luke warm heaters?
View 19 RepliesInstalling seat heaters? Looking to see if any problems were encountered along the way during the install. Seems straight forward enough and there's a you tube video.

I tried to pull out my sun visor one day to get more sun protection and ended up yanking it out. I put the sun visor back on and my seat heaters, interior mirror/compass, cigarette lighter, exterior mirrors, and mirror heaters don't work. I guess What do I do about these small annoying issues??
View 1 RepliesTruck is 08 f350 lariat with minor issues. Both seat heaters don't get hot. Click is heard under driver seat. Both dash lights come on. No heat. Steering wheel fan control won't turn fan up. Turns it down fine.
PO put aftermarket HID with ballasts and bulbs and factory light housings. Factory housings scatter light and they are waaayyy bright. Can't drive anywhere with out blinding someone. What aftermarket projectors will work with HID set up I already have?
Both front seat heaters are not working on my 2009 Avalon XLS. The center console lights do not illuminate. I presume it's not the fuse because according to the owners manual the 7.5A fuse also controls dash light, power outlet and flashers and they all work. Could it be another fuse, or something else? I can use a voltmeter
View 3 RepliesI have a 2005 passat 1.8t, whose check engine light had been on for some time. But yesterday when driving home, after visiting a friend, i noticed the check engine light flashing and the car refusing to accelerate, i managed to park after few minutes and switched off the engine. on coming out of the car i noticed smoke coming out of the bonnet. I quickly open the bonnet and made my way into the top of the engine with mechanic only to discover after opening one of the plug compartments that the plug cable/wire is burnt. The Engine could not start even after removing the burnt wire and plug completely.

View 3 RepliesMy driver side door has not been working for about a month now. It started gradually opening after a million tried but now it just wont open. Tonight one of my lamps stopped working when I was trying to install HID's. I suspect the fuse is burned out but cant get to it cause the door wont open. How can I get my door open. Need headlights as I get out of work late night and dont want to get pulled over for a headlamp being out.
View 8 RepliesI was thinking fuse but left, right and "ok" work perfectly. leaves my MFD stuck ...
View 8 RepliesI need to wire the power lead to my amp in the boot, but can not find a hole in the firewall. Saw the quide for 2008 Passat, but the hole under the battery in drivers engine bay does not exit in my Passat.
View 10 Repliesjust got a new Passat 2008, 6 MT, when I go on the freeway the passenger seat belt winding starts rattling, I have to buckle it for the rattling to stop. also, it seems like the passenger seat appears to be vibrating but the car itself is fine.
View 1 RepliesThe problem occurs intermittently... about once every few months. The hand brake would be loose (no click) pulling the handle up to engage. If I pull the handle up and down many times, somehow it would return to normal.! I searched my Bentley manual but didn't see any page about the hand brake mechanism. Passat 2002, 1.8t...
View 1 RepliesThe car is a 2.8L w/ a manual tranny. The car was making a rhythmic clunking and clicking noise around right hand turns on the left wheel. So when the weight of the vehicle is applied to the left, that's when the noise occurs. The car has been in the shop for 6 days and the technicians have replaced both axle shafts (it was time to do so anyway) but the noise is still there!!! What could possibly be making that noise other than bad CV's? The rhythm of the noise coincides with the rotation of the wheel/shaft which is where they have focused. Could it possibly be bad strut mounts? This is driving me crazy!!! They tell me its perfectly safe to drive (how do they know this when thy don't know whats wrong?) but I can't imagine this can carry on much longer without something breaking.
View 2 RepliesHad a lot of problems with my Rover streetwise's heaters / overheating engine. Firstly, the heaters were rubbish & took ages to heat up. I took to garage and they pressure washed the coolant system to clear any blockages. This didnt work so they changed the thermostat - this has worked the time it takes to heat up but now when i use the car for the first trip of the day, t as soon as the engine has heated up & the speed hits 50/60 mph, the temp gauge shoots right up to the red zone - so have to reduce speed. The 2nd trip of the day, it seems to be fine - its literally just on first use of the day ie to work.
All oil & coolant looks fine and the head gasket was replaced summer last year.
In some areas, the internal PTC cabin heaters were missing the relays and didn't work. They mentioned that the relays were in the glove box and that they easily installed them manually. There were no relays in my glove box, but I couldn't be sure if they were installed. So I took a picture of my "relays and fuses box" for someone with experience to examine. Are the PTC heater relays installed in my car?

I have a 2002 ford taurus. It has the 3.0 ohv engine. The heater has quit working. I recently flushed the coolant system as well as the heater core and replaced the thermostat with no change in the heat situation. It will blow warm air for about 30 to 45 seconds then turns cool .
View 10 RepliesWhen one of my non- HID headlamps burned out, I replaced both headlamps with PIAA Xtreme White Plus bulbs. Now, however my passenger side projection has lost it's "focus." There is plenty of light, but it seems dispersed and people who have driven in front of me comment that the light seems to be pointed downward. The reflective surface inside the lamp appears to look fine. Can the headlamp reflectors go bad?
