My seat heater decided to stop working a few days ago when the temp. dropped down to -30deg Celcius. I checked the fuse today and all is well. I couldn't see any loose wires under the seat either. Both seat warmers stopped working at the same time.
View 3 RepliesThe battery in my LX died, as a result my radio stopped working and my seat heater lights were flashing.
After replacing the battery radio is all good. Passenger side seat heater and ventilator no longer turns on (going to check the fuses tonight).
But the driver's side is very peculiar. At first it was working as expected then all of a sudden the light started flashing but the cooling / heating still works. Even with the system off those the lights flash and sometimes there is heat when the system is off.
This doesn't seem like a fuse issue in this case, seems like a relay.
So the driver side seat heater won't work, I swapped the switch with the passenger side and it won't work (but the drivers side switch works on the passener side), the fuse is alright. What am I missing?

View 3 RepliesI have a 2007 Saturn Relay with heated seats. One of the seat heaters has quit working and now the other one gets super hot after it is turned on for a while. What is causing the seat to get super hot? I don't want to burn up anything.
View 4 RepliesSo my aux heater stopped working. It may just be a failed glowplug as per the error code but as there is significant corrosion around the controller I thought it best to get hold of a second hand unit, which leads to a couple of questions.
1. Can the glow plug be changed with the heater in situ?
2. What needs to be removed to get the heater out? Is it a big job?
Even my mech says it's easily the most complex car he's worked on, and he's had Ferraris/Porsches etc in before!
First trip with the new '14ES and the wife noticed the passenger seat heater seemed to stop working after a while. Checked the on-line owners manual and no mention of a timer there (just the steering wheel timer). Searching the ES forum did not bring up the answer either but some other models apparently have seat timers.

View 7 RepliesI have a 2005 Dodge Neon. The heater stopped working. The blower still works so I am pretty sure the fuse is ok, at least I can't find a separate fuse for the heater. All I see is the blower for the AC/Heater. I replaced the Thermostat and watched it working by letting the car heat up and watched the engine heat drop after a bit. Still no warm air out of the heater. I tried flipping between Cold air and hot air and can tell a difference in the sound of the air blowing that SEEMS to indicate that the flap in the Dash is working to go from cold to hot air. I am sort of out of ideas unless the heater itself is hosed.
View 5 RepliesThe heater/ac blower stopped working on my 2004 Lexus GX470. All the lights and display work but the fan doesn't work on any speed. I replaced the relay in the fuse box under the hood but no luck. I removed the blower and it works when I hot wire it to the battery. I checked the voltage coming into the blower and its at 13.5V, same as coming off the battery but it doesn't turn the fan.

View 2 RepliesThe water level is up, the heater hose is hot on both sides of the heater hose bypass valve, the MtrCrft thermo is pretty new, but it blows cool air out the vents even after a half hour of driving. It was working great last week and then nothing. I guess you can see the blend door moving if you pop the glove box out?..........haven't tried that.
View 14 RepliesWell, as the cold weather has approached, a minor issue has surfaced.
It appears my driver-side mirror heater is not working. Both mirrors still move as they should, and the rear defroster and passenger side mirror both heat as the should with the defrost button, but the driver side does not, as it is cold to the touch and naturally did not melt the frost yesterday.
I looked at the fuses hoping it would be something as simple as that, but it does not appear there are separate fuses for each mirror; the naming is a bit cryptic, but it looks like there may be one for both mirrors, which logically would not explain the situation.
Seems to me the heater itself is defective, and I am not exactly looking forward to opening up the mirror and/or spending money to fix this...
The Prius is a 2006, and I am up to 256K KM (~160K miles) to date.
My wife's 08 mountaineers heater has stopped working on every setting but high it has the dual climate control with rear heat and ac I've heard there's a control module behind the glove box. Is this true and how hard is it to replace?
View 2 RepliesRight Front Seat Stopped Working. It was about 2 months after I got the car or 2 weeks after I had it hardwired for a Police Radar power source. I'm pretty sure it was working after the custom police radar power source. I haven't even used the power source since I'm still waiting for the radar to come. So, I don't think it was that or maybe yes.
I went to my dealer and it was there for about 2 days trying to figure out what went wrong. It turns out the 30 amp fuse blew up or died.
The indicator lights stopped working on the switches and the dealer replaced a fuse and they worked again. Now they are out again and it seems like the heater on the drivers side is on the low setting for random intervals.
View 3 Replies247,000 miles on '98 Toyota Camry as of last summer, car owed us nothing. Suddenly lost oil a month after regular oil change, ruined engine. Mechanic found used engine from totaled car (w/ approx 65,000 miles). Current problems:
1. speedometer/odometer not working,
2. heater/blower stopped working this week, blower makes a LOUD, HIGH FREQUENCY sound, sort of like a siren.
Was hoping to get another 2 years from her considering recent cash outlay. The mechanic couldn't figure out issue #1, and he hasn't looked at it since #2 started this week. I guess we can live w/ issue #1, but #2 has to be fixed ...
I have a 98 chevy astro thats been acting up alot these days! just a few eeks ago while checking tranny fluid it kinda smelt burnt. but topped it up anyway. mind you alot else is going on too. in the last year the horn has stopped working, the wipers work when they want to. the stereo stopped working. there was this wierd clicking noise that drained my battery, it was coming from this little black square looking thing under the dash on the drivers side, I removed it and it never happened agian. still haven't replaced it yet seeming as it ran fine without it. it wouldn't start when it was raining so considering the other electrical problems I was having I had a wire kit done on it and it didn't work. it turned out to be a cracked coil, which was replaced. just this last week the heater stopped working and now it started doing this this morning.

View 14 RepliesGot an interesting electrical issue on my 2004. I'm not sure if the issues are related but they happened at the same time. About a week ago the nav door stopped closing and the seat memory buttons stopped working. When you press the close button the nav screen moves back but the door never closes. The seat memory buttons on the door don't work either but the seat adjustment controls do work. When adjusting the seat position, as the seat moves moves, you hear beeping. It sounds like the same beep that you hear when memorizing a seat position. I checked and tested all the fuses they seem to be good.
