View 2 RepliesI know that the rear emblem is two pieces, I want to color match the black to silver then black out the VW. Is there a way to just take off the silver VW without removing the whole thing off the back?? If so, how?
View 2 RepliesWant to paint color of car black stealth look! Painting everything black door & rear bumper trim black.
View 2 RepliesI was at Home Depot and came across a can of Plasti-Dip so I figured I will get it and try blacking out my rear emblem. I remember recently seeing someone discuss how to remove this so it could be painted. I used to search using like 10 dif keyword combo's and found nothing.
View 5 RepliesI tried searching and I was not able to find how to remove the rear emblem.
View 9 RepliesI got the grille emblem off my CC in minutes. I'v've got the grille off and have spent literally hours trying to remove the badge with no results. The basketweave backer came off easily, but the badge won't budge!
View 4 RepliesI just bought this grill [URL].... and it fits great. However, the grill does not come with a emblem so I was just going to put mine from my 06 Passat on but it is a lot smaller than the opening on the new one. Am I just missing something here, or are there different size grill emblems on some cars? Or is my new grill just messed up?
View 3 RepliesI am looking to black out my front and rear Toyota emblem/badges. I would like to get matte black. I've seen a few 2012 Camry's with it, but am not having any luck finding them online.
View 14 RepliesBought a 2010 Prius II around Feb. 1. So far, so good. No real problems, except the right rear wheel cover fell off sometime around mile 2500.
To my delight, the missing ugly wheel cover revealed a pretty good looking alloy wheel underneath. Except the alloy has a gaping, empty hole in the center of the wheel. Rather than pay a king's ransom to replace the lost wheel cover, I asked in the dealer's parts dept. if an OEM center-cap was available to fit the Prius wheel. Turns out there is, so I ordered 4 center caps . They arrived about a week later. Plugged them into the holes, and away we go with good looking alloys now instead of those wheel covers.
So like the title implies my rear view mirror fell. The metal piece was included. I am guessing it got too how Inside the truck causing the adhesive too quit. My question is there any special adhesive I should get or will super glue work?
View 6 RepliesSo found my rear slider latch laying in seat the other day. Picked up rear view mirror glue today. It's only for metal Surface.
View 10 RepliesI have a 2001 Volkswagen passat glx and last week I jumped in and hit the clutch and it fell straight to the floor with no resistance and i barely touched it.... What this means and if i can fix it myself instead of taking it to the dealership ?
View 4 RepliesI have a 2006 F250 and the other morning I came out and found the rear view mirror laying on the cab floor. No biggie, I'll just glue it back on. Then I noticed the small black decal looking thing on the inside of the windshield. My question is, does this have to come off in order to re-install the mirror with standard Permatex mirror adhesive, or do I just put adhesive on top of it? Also, is there a different, specific adhesive used here that won't crack the windshield 2 weeks from now, like I read. Took a closer look and realized they used a thin adhesive patch to attach the mirror. I'll get one from the dealer.
View 3 RepliesThe plastic shield under the engine has fell down and dragged while driving. I have put it back up with zip ties and i seem to be getting worse gas mileage now since air is catching?? Is it ok just to remove this guard?
View 5 RepliesMy R doesn't have a hatch emblem. I have the emblem, and I want to put it on. But how do I know where to put it?
View 8 RepliesLooking for a write up, is it just stuck on there like the back GTI or is it screwed in?
View 6 RepliesI have the grill out, how do i get to the three tabs the emblem is attached with...
View 9 RepliesHow can i mount a F emblem i bought for my Grill?
View 8 RepliesNotice the chrome bezel around the grille, and the chrome toyota emblem?
What is the best/easiest/most efficient way to black these out? Remove them and paint them? Mask it off and paint them? Plastidip?
I always want to black out the 'Camry', 'Toyota' and 'LE' emblems on the trunk as well.
I want to plasti dip the emblem and the chrome piece on my hood and around my grill. what is the best way to do it? How can i remove it so i can easily paint it?
View 4 RepliesI've searched high and low, but cannot find a product/way to replace my Front and back emblem on my 2014 RX450H - it's not like the Rx350 where you can paint it black or spray it (because the 450H emblem is under a thick clear plastic). Plus the 450h emblems are a little bigger than the 350 counterpart so you can't just switch it out either.
Again- the 450H has a plastic cover over the actual emblem- it comes in one piece. I would love to change it (smoke/black it out) I can't stand the blue-hue the hybrid cars FORCES you to have.
