Rattling going on in my dash. The computer is causing some noises inside the dash. The worst part are the irregular bass noises that are heard near the glove compartment. I can live with the other sounds, but the bass noises near the glove compartment are very annoying. Looking for a solution to elliminate those noises easily?

View 17 RepliesOwn a gen 6 or 6.5 carry so that has the huge rear plastic dash? I currently have 2011 set with the jbl system and every single time I bump some music at like volume 26-27 my rear dash rattles like crazy from the dash and my bass is at 0/5. it's driving me crazy.

Now after the windshield was replaced this summer, the dash rattles against the windshield when it is below 45 degrees and hitting a bump. The same rattle is heard from one A pillar too. Is this related to the windshield replacement or the age of the Camry? It would to determine if I should get another windshield replacement or wedge foam for rattle abatement.
View 1 RepliesI going crazy over this mad squeak in the bottom and back portions of my driver's seat. Several squeaks happen during regular driving and cornering. I weigh 215, but come on!!
Also the dash rattles, especially in the morning. It's right on top, in the middle, above the controls. I can push down and make it stop. I figure, I gotta pull off the dash plates and look underneath, but I'll take easier alternatives.
Got a brand new 2013 GS350 fsport. 2 weeks in, dash rattles. Dealer pulling whole thing out, says no big deal. Bluetooth connectivity issues, android connectivity doesn't work. Dealer says wait on new app.
View 14 RepliesI have had my B7 for about 6 Months now and love the car except that the car sounds worse than my MK4 and the B6 that it replaced. I have solved most of the rattles and queaks and cracks but as soon as I fix them a week later I have 5 new ones. I have attempted to fix them using different sizes of felt pads after a few trips to the dealer and the fix kits did not work.

I have a rattle from the rear driver's side, a vibration from the passenger-side dashboard and a squeak in or near the front passenger seat. I feel like I'm losing my mind!
It sounds horrible, I don't know what VW did but with these Fender speakers but they really sound horrible. Everything rattles.. Then I asked them to install the Jetta anti rattle kit and they didn't even know what I was talking about...saying they never heard of anything like that before.
View 13 Replies2012 Passat SEL ... I got new tires put on a few weeks ago and have a new rattle, sounds like glass tapping against glass or metal on metal. It only happens when I'm cruising around 65 mph. From where I am in the drivers seat, it sounds like it's coming from the drivers rear tire area or under/behind the center console/dash board. I know it's not a lot of info, but need to figure out what's going on.

Last night, when I came back home, I could not pull out my key from dash. I tried several times to pull out my key but to fail. So I left my key in the ignition hole and locked my car using spare key. This morning, I tried again but still stuck in dash.
What is worse is that when I arrived dealer shop for that problem, I could pull out my key from dash!
Looking to wrap the dash trim the piece across the dash and the trim around the information display. Any tips? Also for the console.

I have a 2003 passat. I have noticed, and its getting gradually worse, a knock that comes from the dash. I get one knock when I go round a corner and then a similar knock when I go round an opposite corner. Its as if something is rocking from side to side.
It sounds like its coming from behind the dash just off center to the left. Perhaps behind the passenger airbag? Its difficult to tell exactly.
I was wondering how to remove the 4 air vents in the dash. I am planning on adding some LEDs into them?.... Any special tools needed?

View 17 RepliesFirst of all, I love my 2007 Passat, and consider this a very minor issue, but I'm just curious because it's so weird. This happens to me once or twice every winter... I park the car outside most of the time because my wife insists on her SUV being in the garage.
Anyway, when the temperature outside drops to around 5-10 below zero for the first time of the season, or if it's even colder for a night, like, say, 25-30 below zero, I'll start the Passat and it will run, no problem, but I get a prompt on the instrument panel and these letters that say ECP on the display. When this happens, the car will only go about 10-15 mph. Once it warms up or if I put it in the garage out of the cold, it goes away and I can go as fast as I want.
Just as the title says, I have had the PIAA bulbs in my DRL for about a month. Today I swapped out the 27W PIAA 7440 with the 21W stock bulbs and am getting bulb out warning on the dash. The stock bulbs appear fine and were working when I swapped them. I put the PIAA back and it works again. It seems like the car has "adapted" to the higher wattage of the PIAA and now thinks that the stock bulbs are too low wattage to be a functional bulb?
