Passat (B5) :: One Beep Sound When Turn Engine Off

After I have been driving and turn the engine off there is one 'Beep' sound and the light above the left visor turns on. The only thing that will turn the light off is if I put the visor back up. It stays on in all other positions. Opening the little mirror window on the visor does neither turn on or turn off the light. I posted this before but forgot to mention the 'Beep' that sound when I turn the car off. what does that mean?

It happened again this morning while putting the tranny into reverse and backing into my slanted/graded driveway about 60'. After the clutch has been released all of the way, a BEEP...BEEP...BEEP. aural sound comes from either the engine bay or under the dash. It's not happening when driving out fresh in the morning. It only occurred when I was backing up and on a grade. First, I had thought that it was my clutch telling me - Or, maybe it was the Hill Assist actuator in conflict when the car is actually moving. No smoke or burning coming from underneath nor any idiot lights flashing on the Dash.
I left a message for the Service Manager at the VW Dealer that I purchased the car from. I haven't heard back yet if he has ever heard of or witnessed this freak of nature event. Today was the second time in a week that this "Anomaly" has occurred.

Experiencing Prius c after turn off and arms alarm 5 beep sound from engine bay sounded? My C happen to have this beep sound that seems like warning sound occasionally happen but not every time.

i have 2015 xse, every time i turn off my car or switch on my car, i hear a continuous Beep sound. i think that sound comes from engine bay area but i was not able to find the actual source.

Wifes car began to idle very rough and check engine light began to blink and beep, I took it to the mechanic today and he informed me that my control module was no good and it was a $400 dollar piece. I said go ahead get it done, cuz she needs the car and i couldn't afford to not have it done immediately. Question I have is does this small-ass piece really go for that much on average and what control module is it?

My car seems to randomly beep when I turn it off. Yes, I noticed it does it if I leave my lights on. It also does it sometimes when my door is open. But not always. The beep is constant until I shut the door. Is there some trick because sometimes I do not hear beeping at all even when I open the door. Do I have to press the button before I open the door or vice versa? My car really does seem to have a mind of it's own with these beeps that are driving me insane.

Today I noticed that the "click" sound on my turn signals was gone. I had someone watch the front and rear signals and none of them lit up if the clicking/dash light didn't either. Sometimes it would come on for 2-3 clicks, then stop. I could sorta force the issue by flipping the level back and forth, but it only worked for about half of the times I flipped the lever.
I tried the hazard switch. In this situation, the lights stay on (blinking), but they have an irregular cadence, like a heart murmur (just in signal form!). Click-a, click-a, cli-cli-cli-cka...etc.

I've noticed a couple times when I turn on my car with it just sitting there if i turn the steering wheel all the way to one direction i get some sort of screeching sound coming from the driver side front wheel area what could it be and if i were to turn it the other way all the way too. I'll get the sound too what could this be.

If I turn my steering wheel all the way to the right or left when I'm parking, I hear a clank sound when I start to turn my wheel back in the opposite direction....obviously coming from the front of the car. Sound familiar? Any clues what it could be?

Any way to turn off that annoying beep that happens when you turn the car off but the lights are on? This also happens if the sunroof is open. I have the lights set to turn off after 30 seconds and they turn off when I double click the remote anyways. The sound drives me nuts.

The other day this started and hasnt quit. I was driving to work and after i used my turn signal and everything worked correctly and as it shoud except for the noise. The turn signal noise keeps ticking, sometimes at a fast pase, after i make a turn and the signal turns off. And will continue to do so even though i havent even used my turn signals.

The technician at Toyota showed me the options. You could either have a continuous beep or the intermittent beep, but you do not have the option of turning it off. I told him it was possible, but how?

We have an '07 wagon that recently started exhibiting the following: When doing a sharp turn left or right you can hear a rotational shhhhusshhhing sound... shussshhh *pause* shusshhh *pause*.. etc. Its obviously linked to the front wheels since going straight does not produce the sound. Brakes and rotors have 13k on them; dealer has checked out the car and says everything looks good and the bearings are fine.
Could this be CV joints or something similar? Where to look? This is not a thud thud thud (which I have heard before when another car of ours needed new cv joints). Safety is main concern, don't want bearings freezing while driving..

just got a 2010 Prius (Australian base model), and looking for information on how to turn off the beeps when locking/unlocking the doors. I've found info on turning off the seat-belt warning beep, and changing the reversing beep to single by using the OBDII connector, but nothing on the CAN bus codes needed for the lock/unlock beeps.

I got my GTI exactly one week ago. I brought it to the car wash today. When I got home and hit the lock with the remote, the car did not make the "beep" sound with the horn. I unlocked it and checked all the doors and the hatch to be sure they were properly closed, and they were. Then, I hit the lock from the remote and the doors locked, but no "beep".
