Where to find the fuse for the alarm flashing lights? It should be inside the dash, but I didn't find it.

View 2 RepliesI'm wiring up a backup camera, which comes with a voltage sense lead so it automatically turns on/off with the backup lights. What is the fuse location for the backup/reverse lights, or the physical location (and color) of the hot wire for the backup lights, so I can tap into that?
View 16 RepliesI just got my passat and I know i need to change a fuse because when i was installing my indash DVD i blew the one for my dash lights so i need to know where it is to replace it.
View 5 RepliesA friend of mine is having issues with her 03 Tacoma. Last night her alarm went off so she went down to check it out. Turned the alarm off and re-activated the alarm. About 20 seconds later the alarm went off again. She said she unlocked it, climbed in and started the truck. The warning lights (check engine etc.) are now flashing even with the truck off and no alarm activated.
My best guess is water, at least a little moisture (it rained last night), somehow got into the ECU or some other component of the alarm. Or possible corrosion on a wire or connection. Does that sound like the right direction to go with trouble shooting this issue? I downloaded a manual for the alarm.. I am assuming it's an RS3000.
I need locating the aux cooling fan fuse location. Where could it be??
View 3 RepliesI have an '02 camry v6. My hazard lights started blinking when the car is off and aren't responding to the on/off button. When I turned the car on they stopped for a few seconds then blinked rapidly several times, then back to normal blinking. I tried disconnecting the battery and restarting the car. The battery is only a few months old. What could be causing it? Where is the fuse for it located?
View 1 RepliesI am having issues with 2015 sonata sport. My car alarm has been going off randomly as well as lights flashing/beeping as if I was pushing lock button on key fob. I am not pushing any buttons and sometimes it will happen when The key fob is in my hand and I know I'm not pressing any buttons. When it does happen the little red light will flash on the key fob. I've tried using other key fob and have same issues with both. Also I have had to change the battery in both key fobs about 8 times thus far and I've only had the car a little over a year.
It does not happen all the time and I know if I take it in, my luck the car wont do it and they will tell me they don't see anything wrong. Sometimes the buttons wont work to unlock/lock the car and after a few minutes the car will beep and lights flash on their own and I will be able to then lock/unlock car again. This is getting very frustrating and it has become an annoyance for me and I'm sure my neighbors as well. I even will have people I work with come in and tell me my alarm is going off during my work shift.
Okay,I feel like an idiot asking this question but need to know...
Where is the fuse box located on my 2000 VW Passat 1.8t?
Need to change headlight fuse immediately.
I've been looking for the fuse that runs the trailer running lights and couldnt find it and it got dark on me.. Does anyone know if its under the hood or inside the cab? I blew the running lights fuse hooking up the trailer while the lights was on...
View 13 RepliesMy Alarm seems to be having an issue recently. When I hit the remote the doors lock but the lights do not flash and the beep is gone. When I hit the remote to unlock, the lights flash. Last Night I opened all the doors hood/trunk and shut everything and the lights flashed and it beeped. Since I have no door indicator lights I was wondering if there is a sensor where it thinks the hood is open possibly? I am at 57k so I am still under warranty. I had a Blazer years back when the alarm started acting up, they had to replace the computer one time and I think the battery the second time. But I don't think it is that. I did have some work done recently to put a blower motor and Brake light switch in. I did see reference in another thread from 2 years ago about the alarm for a different model car. 2009 Sonata 3.3 ....
View 6 RepliesMy 99 Passat is making a clicking sound from the fuse box, and the alarm light is blinking on and off repeatedly. My remote key no longer locks or unlocks the car. I took out fuse 38 and it stops making sound and stops the blinking, the fuse is not blown. Any clue on what to do. The other fuse for power locks and security look good also.
View 7 RepliesI drive a 2007 Lexus GS 350 with 60,000 miles on it. Today I was running an errand I parked my car and then went back to work. After four hours I came back to the parking lot and heard a really low beeping sound coming from the parking lot. It turned out to be my car. I tried to open the car door with my keyfob and nothing was working. I opened the door manually and was not able to turn the ignition on as there was no internal power. I finally jump started the car and alarm went off as the car started.
I got the battery tested and the battery was completely fine. I called the Lexus dealership and explained the problem and the technician did not think there was anything wrong with the starter or anything else with the engine. The gentleman I spoke to thought you might have been Keyfob battery that may have caused this. One thing that I noticed last couple of Was that the car air filter needs to be changed. Could that have caused this to happen?
Temperature has been in the 90s in the week or so! The car was parked in a covered parking ramp!
The compass on my car suddenly disappeared, and I need to check if the fuse has blown out. Unfortunately the fuse box diagram in the owners manual does not match up at all with the actual fuse box (had a similar problem previously with the 12volt outlet inside the car).
Which is the correct fuse location? 2006 2.0T .....
Tried calling my local dealer, and they gave me the standard answer: Bring it in and we will take a look at it... I find it ridiculous that they cannot just let me know the fuse location, given that they know that the owners manual is incorrect !!!
The previous owner of my passat seemed to have put a curse on all the features that I like. The alarm horn is mysteriously inop. And it doesnt chime when the lights are left on, which is a problem. What on earth controls the dang light chime?
View 5 RepliesThe door latch is broken so i need to change it, but i am going on a day trip to Quebec. Now, when i drive with the lights on there is a buzz, the same buzz when your door is open when you drive. I looked at the fuse diagram on that little card but I could not Id which fuse to pull to stop that wretched noise.
View 3 RepliesMy interior lights, including mirror lights and overhead interior light keep blowing my fuse. This is the 3rd fuse that's gone in a month. I am out of warranty finally. Would it be safe to upgrade the 5 amp to a 7 or 10 amp fuse. I am not about to chase down a possible short through my headliner/dash...
View 14 RepliesLast night I was driving my '99 Passat when suddenly I heard this loud alarm in my car. Quickly looking down I saw what I think were my ABS and brake indicator lights on. It happened so fast, maybe less than a second and everything was back to normal.
I was driving on dry pavement on country roads at about 60 mph. Outside temp was 37 and there were major gusts of wind, maybe 40 mph or so. Vehicle has about 115,000 miles on it.
Checked my manual and it said to have it checked.

So I have a 2003 vw passat glx and I just had a shop replace my heater core. Anyways I got the car back and now when the drivers door is open the inside light doesn't turn on. It does when the other door is open.. Also when I lock the doors via remote it doesn't horn anymore.
View 2 RepliesI have a 2007 Passat with 60K on it and all maintenance kept up. Oil changes every 5K and all service done by a VW dealer. The car worked great yesterday when I drove it to the store but today its not responding at all. The car lights (parking in the rear only) and dash lights are flashing like a strobe and the car won't respond to the key fob. I don't have my blade key so I can't get access to the car. I suspect if I could disconnect the battery it would reset but I can't pop the hood without getting in the car.
View 2 RepliesThe hazard lights (4 ways) have a mind of their own and will randomly flash once and then few minutes later it'll flash again.
I've checked the dash switch, did a quick clean with electrical contact cleaner, that's working fine.
