I have the Option 2 LED headlights 6000k HIDs for the headlights. I also purchased the Anti-Flicker and Warning Canceller adaptors with the kit and have those installed as well. Now the left HID bulb will come on only sometimes and when it doesn't the light warning on the dash turns on and the light will not turn on. Could it be that the Anti-Flicker and Warning Canceller that is connected is faulty since the other side works just fine?

My red ventilation symbols in the center console and the passenger side ones do not light up anymore . Are these lights inside changeable because now the center console looks a bit weird at night with only half the red vent lights lit up.

Based on what I've gathered, this message means that I need to replace a bulb (and not the whole headlight, right?). I haven't looked in my manual yet...but is there a model number for the bulb if I were to purchase it somewhere (i.e., online) if I intend to replace it myself (and/or have someone other than the dealership replace it)?
I have a '06 Passat 2.0.

Just as the title says, I have had the PIAA bulbs in my DRL for about a month. Today I swapped out the 27W PIAA 7440 with the 21W stock bulbs and am getting bulb out warning on the dash. The stock bulbs appear fine and were working when I swapped them. I put the PIAA back and it works again. It seems like the car has "adapted" to the higher wattage of the PIAA and now thinks that the stock bulbs are too low wattage to be a functional bulb?

I have a question about the the rear vent. Which AC setting turns on and off the rear vent? I dont see a separate control for the rear vent. Secondly is the rear vent controlled by the driver temperature control or the passenger temperature? I don't see either of these addressed in the manual...

How to remove the center (upper, right above the radio) dash vent assembly on an '04 Passat (I assume many other years would be similar). I have a rattle/squeek in there that I'd like to address. Sliding a credit card in between the vent/dash provides some improvement, so I'm thinking if I could get the assembly out and shim and/or lube it I might be able to resolve the problem.

How to get the bulb changed out and what kind to use?

I had my Passat (2006) for a couple of weeks now and this message comes up on the dash warning: "AFS inoperative". The bulb failure light was flashing as well. I have the bi-xenon lights.
The L/H bulb was changed and the warning and the bulb failure light is still there, but both headlights are working now. The major drama is that the lights are now dipped and at night we can only see about 20m in front of the car. The lights don't do the start up dance as normal.

The "Bulb Warning" light came on in my 07 B6 Wagon. Checked all the lights and no bulbs are out, but when I switch to Hi Beams they both come on and then a few seconds later they go off. Need to pull the stalk back and then put them on again, but again in a few seconds they go off and revert to low beams. I have the HID headlights, but the Hi Beams are conventional.
What may be causing this? If it's a bad bulb, is it possible to change just the conventional Hi Beam bulbs myself??

I got a "Bulb Out" warning but all the bulbs were working...so I go inspect all the lights on the wagon and notice the taillight is melted and falling apart on the inside! Wtf?? Ugh...!! I've never had something like this before. Is this common? The light still works but its all melted on the inside and the plastic ring on the inside is falling down.... Quick pic...

Replaced both bulbs (left and right even though only left was out) with fresh H7s and my left headlight still doesn't work. so i thought, maybe fuses, but manual only references fuse #5 on both left and right fuse boxes as headlight control - but for XENONs only. Since i don't have HIDs, there is no fuse in spot #5 in either fuse box. Any other fuses i should check that i may be overlooking in the manual?
