View 2 RepliesWhere the modulater valve is on my A4LD tranny. I have a 93' ranger XLT extra cab 2wd with 4.0 engine. I have looked all over the tranny and thought it would be somewhere I could see it. I know I had one on my old full size Ford truck with C6.
View 7 RepliesMy cruise control is out. I have checked the clock spring wiring and it is OK. Going to replace the brake switch today. Looked for the CC module but cannot locate. Where it is on the diesel X.
View 1 RepliesDiscovering where my cruise control module is located on my 05 Excursion. . . I've looked at all of the pictures showing that it should be right in front of the a/c unit, underneath the vacuum pump, but on both my 04 and my 05 Excursions, there is nothing to be found on that location. Where the bugger can be located.
View 2 RepliesWhere is the cruise control amplifier located on an 85 F-150? The Chilton manual just says "behind the instrument panel". No pic or further description. Just looking up from the bottom of the dash I see a "black box" with 2 wires going into the top of it located just between the steering column and the wiper switch.
Is this it?
I need to locate the part number, so that I can order from salvage. Where this is located on a 2000 Passat?
View 3 RepliesNeed to check and not sure where it is!
View 2 RepliesI used to have LED brake lights in my taillights and decide to change them to old regular bulbs. After that Saturday 3am cruise control don't want to work. Then in the morning with all the lights off (headlights turns etc) the cruise works, as soon as I turn the lights on it stop working. I try to see the what's the cruise control fuse in the fuse card but I can't figure out which one is. 99 passat GLS manual trans.

View 2 RepliesMy Cruise control hasn't been working for a while now when i first bought the car it would work when it wanted to... sometimes it would work and sometimes it wouldn't or even sometimes it would work then all of a sudden while its in cruise it would just stop working
Now I want to fix this problem and get it to work again what should i start to look for, what could be some common stuff that I should look for I heard the cruise control is a PITA to fix once they stop working. I don't know much about the cruise control so where i should start and what I should look for first...
About a year ago the cruise control in my 1998 Passat started to work intermittently. Now it is not working at all. I have tried to tap the stalk thinking that something could be loose. I have a 5 speed manual.
View 6 RepliesI just purchased my 98 1.8t manual and for the most part it was a steal. Only 108k miles. Everything is strong just a few minor things. Right now I want to get my cruise control working. Is there a light in the dash that goes on? What are the fuses related to it? Nothing happens when I turn it on or hold the button to set it. what should I look for?
View 5 RepliesI have a 99 passat with non functioning cruise control. I have tested everything so far that includes- applied vacuum the the system resulting in throttle movement. System also hold vacuum. vacuum pump was also bench tested also holds vacuum.

View 4 RepliesMy 2012 Passat 2.5 SE cruise control stopped working. Not even the little indicator show on the MFI.
View 5 RepliesNoticed a mismatch of 3-4kms between Cruise setting and speedometer? Example, when i set my cruise to 100km/h my speedometer needle actually indicates 103km/h. I took it to the dealer and they said it is normal because the cruise and speedo get their speed signals from different sources.
View 2 RepliesI have a 99 Passat 4 cyl turbo and the cruise control seldom works. Sometimes it works, sometimes not, and sometimes it shuts itself off. What could be the problem?

I have a 99 b5 wagon 1.5 5sp and my cruise works when it wants to. I play with it constantly while on the highway and it's hit or miss. Are there any know problems with the switch or other part that could make this an easy fix? the cruise seems to work fine when i can get it to work.
View 2 RepliesWe began to get an intermittent cruise control failure (big exclamation point in the lower left of the MFD and no green "cruise" when the lever was clicked to "on") in my wife's 2007 2.0T Passat several months ago. During the same period she told me that the car occasionally didn't want to crank...although it always started on a second try. Well, to make a long story short, I had the battery replaced at the 60K service a couple weeks ago and the cruise has worked flawlessly ever since.
I put two and two together just before I took it in for service when the car showed failure of the antiskid system in addition to the cruise following a particularly difficult start. Sure enough, the new battery fixed it. Apparently some of the accessory systems go into a failure mode when they don't get enough current on startup.
