Passat (B5) :: Car Sounds Like Its Blowing Out All The Air

My b5 passat manual 1.8t engine. my car came chipped on 20lbs. i lowered it to 15. but everytime i boost it doesn't pull hard anymore and it doesn't spool. instead it sounds like its blowing out all the air. Now i have it a 10 lbs because its no point in 15 or 20 because it doesn't make it there anymore. I also have a Forge DV.
Next problem : I can only have my heat at level 1 or else it wont blow hot air. if its a 2 or higher it blows out cool air. my temperature gauge is always in the middle.it only went over once. just a little bit.
Next at around 75 to 80 mph i get this vibration in the steering wheel. Like a minor shake.

My fan sounds like its blowing hard on high but air flow seems to be restricted some. I have noticed a sound of the fan hitting leaves in the past. I just don't know how they get in there. It still cools good but air flow is nice when the temperature is close to 100.

I recently had my muffler and resonater taken off and put a magnaflow in place of the resonater. in place of the muffler is a Y pipe with 2 tips. the exhaust now sounds like a jet or like air is just blowing through the pipe really fast. also my check engine light came on as soon as the work was done and cranked the car. when i get hard on the gas the car hesitates on and off continuously. I don't know if the jet sound is from the Y pipe and tips or if it is something else.

I am experiencing yet another problem with my Dynaudio sound system. The display for the radio works, but there is absolutely no sounds coming from the radio. It would be exactly like pushing mute (but in this case mute isn't activated).

I have a 2003 Passat GLS wagon 1.8T... lately it's starting to sound more and more like a diesel... I have a CEL for camshaft position sensor (on it's way) and it seems to run fine (with the exception of the blue smoke at start up).

Random crackling sounds coming from inside the dashboard? After hitting 5k miles a few weeks ago, and while driving on a highway one day, this loud crackling sound started inside the dashboard. At first I thought it was the windshield separating itself from the car. It's loud, lasts a few seconds and you can hear it coming from the length of the dashboard.
I thought it could be the vents, but it crackles no matter what condition I'm driving in. It just randomly crackles if I'm driving fast or slow, on the highway or city streets, if the AC is on or off. It evens crackles when the car is stopped at a red light.

My 99 Passat 1.8T eats brake pads and rotors like crazy. After about six months I hear a rattle, which sounds like brake pads came unglued. After a month of rattling, the pads must shift into a new groove on the rotor, and pulse like crazy. I can handle that, but this time the parts store gave me pads without the wire coming out of the pad. I thought the wire was just a brake wear sensor, and I figured I didn't need it, but now my ABS light is on. If that is a wear sensor Can I loop the old wire and bypass the system? I like having ABS. Also, with the two piece caliper, the spring holding the two pieces together broke. Can I get a new spring? Or do I need a new caliper? I appears the brakes function with the damaged spring, but I'm guessing the pads will wear unevenly. Or maybe the abs light is because the pads are seated funny because the caliper isn't sitting right?

It only happens sometimes, but definitely everyday. I have an 06 Passat 1.8T and when i'm accelerating and it shifts gears from 1 to 2 it sounds like i have a really bad blow off valve, yet i don't. I can't see anything noticeable under the hood. I am thinking its the turbo inlet pipe.

'02 V6 30v with 73k.. engine noise sounds like rattle consistent with idle sounds like its coming from rear section of motor. i did search came up with a few probabilities but no resolutions just wondering if possible it could be oil pump because if i add oil then start up the noise disappears for a few mins then comes back, a few guys mentioned it could be camshaft tensioner.

Question for those who are slammed and running a FSB. are you getting popping/clucking sounds during a medium to hard turn? what was your fix(beside removing the FSB)?

Passat B6, 2009 TDI CR, 140 bhp, DSG.
Having an issue that's bugging me. all cold starts are fine. However, if I drive a short distance then try to restart the engine cranks, sounds like it catches but stalls.
It takes 2-4 retries to get it going, i'm not releasing the key too early as this happens even when I hold the key in.
I've not been able to get a VAG-COM on it yet but would like to know whether this is likely to be something simple or, if it's time to sell the car?

I have a 3.6 4motion and recently after i started it up just now too, it made a diesel like weird sound, and the RPM revved up to like 3500 then went back to idling.

I have a 2006 2.0 tdi 170 dpf passat. Some times the revs rise to 900-1000 rpm and the engine sounds more noisy than normal. Then the revs go back to normal at 800 rmp and the engine sounds normal, What can be the cause of this??

Recently my car has been doing some weird things. After driving it for about an hour, I get a sound from the engine compartment that sounds like a vacuum cleaner. It's fairly loud, but it's mostly just noticeable from the outside. The car continues to run, but if I turn it off, it doesn't restart (does not even crank). Last night I was driving at about 55 MPH and all the electronics went off and then came back on. In other words, the radio restarted and all the lights turned off and back on. The headlights turned off, but they did not come back on no matter what.

So after I come to a full stop and then release the pedal to start moving again the front brakes make a rubbing noise that sounds like a "honk". Im not sure if this is a trait of Automatic cars as the car is trying to push foward on its own. My previous cars were all stick. My wifes car (Auto also) does not do this. Also the Auto Hold feature is very jarring when you step on the gas to go the car almost lurches foward as the brake disengages. Is it just my car or is there something that needs adjustment?

Since they happen intermittently it would not seem like a fuse issue, more like a relay or loose connector?

I have a 2004 Passat 1.8T and I am having issues with my a/c. it isn't blowing cold air. The first time it happened, I paid to have it recharged and it worked for 2 weeks then it went on the fritz again. I had the gas pressure checked and it is at a regular level. The second cooling fan comes on when the a/c is turned on, the fuse and the relay are also good. I checked the a/c pressure sensor and it is also working properly. I suspect that there is a valve or sensor that has seized up (due to the temporary addition of refrigerant). I also scanned the HVAC for fault codes and the only fault is an air flap position motor.

So, I get in my car yesterday after being away for the weekend (the car has been sitting for 4 days). I get in and crank the AC and it blows warm air. My first thought was "here we go, I need a new AC compressor". I decided to pull into a driveway and I turned off the car, and then turned it on again. When I restarted the car, the AC kicked in like it is supposed to. Cold air as always. Is this a sign of the AC going out?

Blend Door? maybe? exactly what work goes into replacing/repairing this piece? what are the chances of it just being the blend door..if the compressor works, the line is cold, and I know the air is blowing..its just not coming out of the vents.

2.0t's smoke alot at WOT. I haven't seen it first hand from behind the car, but when I floor it and look in the rear view I see a little bit of smoke. Not black or anything. It has always been this way. Bought the car new (2006). Is this natural for the FSI?
