Sebring - Chrysler :: 2010 - Connector Removal From Brake Light Switch
How to remove this type of connector from the brake light switch? I've tried just about everything at this point. Sheer force alone doesn't work. There has to be some type of release mechanism I'm not seeing that allows it to disconnect.

How to remove the drivers side kick panel? It has the hood release lever, which is holding me back from figuring out how to get it off. The brake light switch on my '05 failed Friday. The '04 it replaced and the '03 we still have had brake light switch failures, too. Obviously, this can be pretty dangerous. I suggest that all Passat B5/5.5 owners check their brake lights frequently until VW gets it together and has a recall like they did for other models.

I have purchased this front brake kit from ECS tuning and installed them on My 2006 Passat, After I installed them and took for test drive and initial breaking is good better that before bat notice some squeaking when rolling slowly like before stop light, only on light applying break pedal not if I have to hard break, I said maybe they need too wear in or so... It now more that month and squeaking is becoming worse. Is it bad kit or something else that causes this problem...?

I have a 2010 passat and I'm going to be installing DDM 35w 6000k slim ballast on both my low beams and my fog lights. The guy at DDM told me I needed Error eliminators, is this true? also besides the HID kits and the Vagcom changes is there anything else I need to do to make these puppies function properly? like use a relay for the fogs?

Was checking fuses for why my 3rd brake light and pedal adjustment switch does not work. Was also looking for a fuse to tie into so that a light in the cab floorboard will stay on when the headlights or marker lights are on... Over the past 2 days I drove without the center of the steering wheel in place because I was in the middle of removing the turn signal arm - I had to wait until I found a T55 torque bit for removing the steering nut. Anyway, the I installed a new turn-signal arm and re-assembled the steering wheel and such. Even after reconnecting the airbag I'm still getting an airbag light on my instrument cluster. Is this a fault code that needs to be reset from the dealer? I know I plugged all the connectors correctly - only one way to do it.

I have a kit of lights from my wrecked mk6 jetta for the rear bottom door lights that I would like to install on my Passat. I looked into the DIY thread for our cars and found nothing. I found some info on the Bold-Sport website but the connector at the window motor is different on the mk6 jetta compared to the Passat. My questions are:
1- Are the pins location the same to make them work on the Passat then it is for the Jetta?
2- Is the coding to activate them the same as the Jetta?

Top is MK2 harness (red/black, red/green, solid red). Bottom is R32 harness (red/white, red/yellow, solid red).
Ford F-150 (2009-2014) :: Winch Mount Installation - Removal Of Plastic Molding?
Installed the Rough Country winch mount yesterday. One hour, by myself. Used a floor jack to lift it in place.
Only problem was removing the plastic molding which came in the spot the fairlead will be. Just a small rectangular plastic molding with a couple of bars down the middle for looks. It had two screws on top edge, and two pushpins on bottom , but also was molded with two catches on each side on the back I did not see. When I figured it out, and squeezed with just my fingers, little too hard and snapped one catch on each side. They slide into a slot and catch but wont be doing that ever again. Oh well.
As for mount, solid and easy to install. I used hand tools as the air gun would only hit one of the bolts for the front tow hooks. The other was blocked by plastic molding. No big deal.

I just got a 1994 F150 with the 5.8L motor its a 4X4 with Auto trans. I have the dual tanks set up, midship and aft-axle and both tanks leak, more aft-axle then front. I was wondering how difficult is it to remove and install these tanks and what are some tricks to solve the problems I'll run into?

My wife's 2010 ES 350 third brake light has an intermittent LED issue. The last 3 LEDs on the pass side flash on/off when the brake is depressed.
