They blink once or twice then stop. What needs to be done and is it a job a backyard mechanic can easily handle?

Pontiac :: 1966 - Lights Malfunction / Blinkers Don't Blink
the blinkers keep working and not working now they aren't of course.. but the left one only worked then something happened and the left only stayed on (not blinking) when the head lights were on. then it switched now they don't turn on at all. the fuses are good the relay is good all the wires are good I got new bulbs in as well and pointers. it's a Pontiac starchief 1966 and the flasher is good

My wifes car has an issue of the blinker relay energizing after the blinkers are turned off. The relay is a hazard/blinker in the same relay. Once the blinker is off the relay clicks but the blinker nor hazards blink.

I have a 2000 VW Passat which i bought used from a dealership about a month ago. Just two days ago i was driving home, i was about a block away from my house when i went to indicate and nothing happened. The little arrow lit up green but didn't blink. My lights didn't blink. And there was no noise. I tried the other side and the same thing happened. I pulled up outside my house and shut off the car. When i turned it back on everything was working again. Then, yesterday i was once again a block away from my house when it happened for a second time.
Not having a proper blinker, in my opinion, is very dangerous. What should i do?
Also, my car is very loud. Someone suggested that i might have a hole in my muffler. others have said it's because it's a Turbo engine. But my mom's Audi is a turbo and it doesn't make VOOM VOOM noises.

No B5 posts since the variant has been running well....'til today, when I noticed irregular turn signal operations. This is for a B5.5, 2002. Occasionally they'd work as they should, but much of the time they'd blink a few times then stay off.
Continues to happen after shutting down the engine and restarting (was wondering if that would reset anything). I recall some sort of relay problem with the turn signals. Does this sound like what's going on?

I have been reading threads all day. Noone seems to have exactly the same issue so I'm just looking for some clarification. Turn signals dont work but lights work as "parking lamps" and internal climate lights are not illuminating either. Also, my blinkers making the clicking noise but much faster when the turn signal bulbs are not flashing. I had a radio issue but that is resolved. Where do I start? Do I go right for the hazard relay? I read somewhere there was an ignition relay that could potentially be causing all of this?

The turn signals in the car (00 1.8t) are starting to act up. One day it'll stay on the on position and wont blink when switched either to the right or left. And on another day they will just decide to start working properly again. The hazards also follow suit. Ive checked all the bulbs all are good, took them out and put back in again. Still having problems.

My 98' 1.8t AEB was having a bad valve tick so i took the valve cover off and noticed the top camshaft had a lobe eaten away pretty bad and it looks like the bearing next to it was spinning I KNOW that its from a lack of lubrication so that means its my oil pump? there was absolutely no sludge or swarf that i could see.
what made me take the valve cover off was a small oil leak and i thought it was the gasket, but my PCV valve slipped out of its sleeve so thats where the oil came from.
also, every time i started my car the oil would come on right away, beep three times, and blink until i shut the car off.
So, i guess i am wondering, do i have deeper problems here or could i replace the cams, bearings and oil pump?

So I was driving my 2001 1.8t last night and put the pedal to the floor to make a yellow light and the check engine light began to blink and the engine started running very rough ever since. It idles very rough and it seems like I have lost a lot of the power.

I said go ahead get it done, cuz she needs the car and i couldn't afford to not have it done immediately. 2000 Jeep Cherokee Sport: Sometimes the directionals shut off after a few blinks and sometimes they don't work at all. I think I identified the area where the blinker noise comes from. It is to the left underneath the steering wheel column.
