I have 2000 VW Passat. I had my car in shop shop to replace windshield washer nozzle. After picking up my car found out that car started to have electrical problems
- keyless entry does not work;
-When i turn on headlights, the alarm tone inside the car does not go off. I drive the car home with this noise inside the car.
My car got into an accident and the driver side door needed to be replaced. My wife picked the car up from the shop, but i guess she did not think anything wrong with the car. My problem is as follows:
When I go to grab the handles of my car (driver, passenger, trunk) with my key fob in close proximity (pocket), instead of the double beep signalling an unlock of the doors, there are multiple beeps (maybe 5 sets of double beeps) along with the emergency flashers flashing.
I've been having problems with my keyless entry. On two occasions (the last one while I was driving it)the alarm goes off without any apparent reason. Tried replacing battery in remote. In addition, sometimes the keyless entry does not seem to lock or unlock the car on the first try. Is this the remote or the system with in the car?

I have a basic understanding on how this alarm works but I have a few questions. First her is the diagrams I have to look at. [URL] ....
Like I said I have installed the power locks in the door panels but I do not know how to hook them up the the brain. Do i use relays? or do I just connect a lock wire and a unlock wire to the lock motor? If I do use a relay do Can i daisy chain the unlock output and the lock output?
Once I can get that figured out I just wire the rest of the brain up to the information I have for the wiring diagram for my truck. 12V to the ignation, Find lights,etc...
I started a lease on the eGolf on 1Dec2014.
I came from the original 04 R32 but my wife 4 yr old Lexus has a similar keyless entry key detection setup as the eGolf.
Unlike my wife's lexus, I am having a lot of issues with the eGolfs keyless entry.
50% of the time it does not work when I am standing right outside my car... I have to take the key out and physically press the button.
is this a know issue with VW? Is there a fix?
I have a 2005 Pruis and the remote entry does not work. Changed the battery in the remote and I still have to put the remote key in slot to start the car. Been working fine for ten years.
View 5 RepliesOn last start up the starter sort of sounded odd, thought nothing of it. Went to go to the store again, and nothing. Keyless entry does not work. No activity at all. Used the key to get in and try to start...nothing. tried to open the trunk from inside. Nothing. Replaced battery about 3 months ago. No problems with that. Car is maintained religiously.
View 1 RepliesI have an 01 F150 SuperCrew with factory keyless entry fobs. I would like to be able to leave my truck running, take the keyless entry fob with me, and then lock the doors. Currently, the keyless entry fobs are disabled when the truck is running and I'd be locked out of the truck. I've had newer Fords that would allow the fobs to stay active with the vehicle running. Do this can be programmed into the truck?
View 5 RepliesIt's cold and of course when I need it the factory installed key fob doesn't work. I took the car to one of those fancy car accessory stores and they said my alarm was working just fine. The power locks work fine when locking the car from inside the car. Just not using my remote fob. Searching Google I found an article about a similar condition where they said the solenoid was faulty and this was common for my model.
I know little about cars but this sounds expensive. What is a solenoid and why just the car fob. What is the point of having a remote start if you can't use it in 18 degree weather.
For some reason, it just stopped working. I replaced the battery about a couple of weeks ago, and it has worked fine until today. it shows the red led on the remote when I press lock or unlock, but nothing happens.
View 13 RepliesI'm having an issue with my 99 passat v6 sedan. The problem began when I noticed my keyless entry stopped working (lock, unlock, trunk release). Then when I tried turning the key in the ignition, it wouldn't crank at all. All my electronics started up though (headlights, cabin lights, radio, dash). I then noticed that the alarm light next to the door lock was not lighting up. I have a spare key, and it is having the same problem.
I checked the fuses, but none were broken. I imagine that whatever controls the alarm and signals from my key is broken. I don't know what this object would be though, if it exists, what it's called, where it would be, how to tell if it's broken, or how to replace it.
I have a 96 buick regal custom. I tried to program a keyless fob through the trunk it dint work and now my lock buttons on the inside of my car don't work but yet they automatically lock and unlock when I turn on the car when I go into and out of park gear.
View 3 RepliesNew 2015 Mercedes E350 wagon ..... The day after I took delivery, I tried to open the new wagon's doors (it has a keyless feature) and nothing happened. I tried again and still nothing happened. I then took the smartkey out of my pocket and tried to click open the locks and nothing happened. I then took the ancillary key out of the smartkey and unlocked the car manually. This set off the alarm which would only stop when I closed the door and relocked the car.
Also, the car would not start. It was like I had broken in to the car. A few minutes later, while waiting for roadside assistance to speak with me, I tried the door handle again and discovered that the doors would now open keylessly. I have driven the car several times since the incident (which occurred yesterday) and it has not repeated the problem. What caused the problem?Is this a one time glitch or am I in danger of being stranded somewhere?

P0674 - Glow Plug N0. 4 Circuit Malfunction
P0475 - Exhaust Backpressure Control Valve Malfunction
P0381 - Glow Plug Indicator Circuit Malfunction

I get these beeps continuously for the first ten minutes of driving.
New sfs 2.0t with tech pkg. There's one spot In my town when I drove through, just a normal empty street, and the radio dies and a loud 4 tone alarm starts for about 5 seconds. Same road, does it about 25 ℅ of the time, real stumper. No indications on dash or radio.
View 2 RepliesI have a 2005 F-150. Recently, I have heard an alarm like tone for five seconds or so after cranking up. Often, this sounds immediately after cranking up but sometimes, it happens a few minutes after cranking up. There is no light that accompanies it on the instrument panel and the sound stops after sounding for a few seconds and does not recur until the engine is started another time. What this might be?

Seems that we can get it to open the automatic way (putting fob close to lock) but to lock and unlock using the buttons on the key hardly ever works. Is there someway to program through the MAF that im not seeing? (tried comfort settings) also tried resetting the key by unlocking manually and starting the car.
View 3 RepliesI have the keyless entry feature, but it's been acting strange lately. I keep my key in my right side jacket pocket & lock/unlock the door with the button on the handle of the car. Lately it hasn't been working....I have the hold the key next to the handle It seems to be doing this just about every other time I get in or out of the car.
