I just got my 00 passat in october and for some reason my alarm system goes off after I unlock my driver side door and try to start it. what should I do?
View 3 RepliesI came out to get into my car today and pressed the keyfob to unlock and nothing. Went inside, same deal with my backup and valet key. I tried to scan with vag com with the alarm going off and I could link up, but not to the immobilizer or lock system. I did get both key 1 and key 2 adaptation surpassed codes. Even when I manually unlock the drivers door the alarm does not go off and I cannot roll up my windows with the key or unlock any other doors with the key. Things have been strange lately too, every time I lock the car and set the alarm the doors themselves locks don't sink down but the alarm is activated allowing anyone to get into the car but alarm goes off.

View 7 RepliesI have a 2002 VW Passat. This weekend the keyless entry was working fine. Then on Monday, I go to unlock the doors, and the key less entry will only unlock the Driver's door. It will not unlock any of the other doors. I've tried searching but couldn't find any previous posts about this. What could be causing the problem?

So last night I tried to lock my car door i put the key in and tried to turn it to lock it and it wouldn't move as if it were stuck or something so i had to lock it from the passenger side and this morning i went to go check it out and sprayed a little bit of WD-40 on the key and inside the part the key goes in since it wouldn't move and was stuck i thought that might have worked but instead all it did was make it worse now it just spins in circles freely without locking or unlocking my doors i have to do it from the passenger side ...

View 2 RepliesI had the Steering Column Module and the CCM done at the dealer last week. That being said would that have anything to do with the fact that I can't arm my antil theft system? All the door lock except for the rear drivers side door. When I hit the lock button on the remote I don't get any sort of audible signal. The horn doesn't beep and the lights don't flash. When i use the remote to unlock the doors, the lights do flash to signal that the doors are unlocked.
View 3 RepliesSo my remote and main key got into a washing machine...Put new batteries in it but no go. Car does not start with either main key or valet. When I unlock the driver side door with either key, engine does not start and alarm goes off immediately. From searching the forums I assume I have 15 seconds from opening door and I am well within 15 seconds. Remote should not be necessary as transponder used to validating key is a passive RFID in the key part.
Dealership so far has been unuseful. I told them I can't start the car and they said yeah come in and we'll program you a new remote. When I got there (by motorcycle) they told me they need the car. It's a 2000 Passat GLX V6.
Yesterday I noticed my door won't unlock and I had to use passenger's side to get in and push my door to open.
I noticed the lock/unlock switch on the door stays locked, won't unlock at all.
My car is 2004 Prius.
2000 Jetta 2.0L bought used with broken key fob and separate valet key.
Problem: I have always had problems with the electrical system since a little after I bought the car. For example, after unlocking the driver's side door with either key, and starting the car, my hazards would flash and alarm would sound (car thinks I'm trying to steal it). I fixed that by disabling the alarm.
Just recently however, I locked my car as usual (pressed the button on drivers side door locking all doors except for drivers side and then manually locking the drivers side door). When going back to my car the next morning, I put the key in drivers side door and turned--- NOTHING. The key (both fob and valet) turns both ways but the drivers side door will not unlock and I am stuck getting locked out frequently.
Remote unlocks the other three doors but I need to jump in an open drivers door from inside.
Does not happen every time but has happened several times. I look like an idiot climbing in from the back seat.
Approach car and grab the handle, car beeps like 5 times trying to unlock the drivers side door. All other doors unlock.
If I go to passengers side and press the unlock button a couple times it opens. Seems slow to open. Greased lock assembly at door. Not sure if it works.
All other doors lock and unlock except drivers door. The drivers door can only be locked unlocked manually with your hand.
View 12 RepliesI have a keyless entry prius and all my doors locks and unlocks just fine, except the one that counts. For some reason my driver side door won't unlock 99% of the time, but it locks all the time. To unlock my car I have to take the key out and manually unlock it.
View 1 RepliesNormally, when I approach my LS460 with the key in my pocket, the car will automatically unlock once I touch the door handle. A few weeks ago, the driver's side door stopped unlocking. All of the other doors unlock but the driver's side door does not. If I take the key fob out and use it to lock the door and then unlock it, the driver's side door usually unlocks after several attempts with the key fob. I have changed the battery in my remote to no avail.

View 7 RepliesI have a Prius 2007 with smart key, the problem is the driver's door does not unlock while touching the handle sensor pad. I works perfectly with the other door and with the hatch one. The interior light turns on when I get close to the driver's door which means that it's not the proximity sensor.
It stopped working like a year ago, the weird thing that last winter and during the snow time exactly it worked like there is no problem at all! After that when the weather got better it stopped working again! Is it something related to temperature/humidity? or it was just like a one off happened by chance at that time?
Is there a way to diagnose the touch pad sensor and fixing it?
I have a 98 explorer, I try to unlock the drivers door with the key and I can turn it to lock the door but it will not unlock it however I can go as far as I can and unlock all the doors, now the strange part (to me anyway) I can not unlock the door from the inside either by using the power lock or by trying to unlock it manually....
View 14 RepliesI have a 2001 Ford Explorer Sport 2 Door. Recently, I have been having trouble with my driver side door lock. Sometimes, but not always, the driver side door will not unlock with the keyfob, the actual key, door panel keyless entry, or unlock button inside the car. I hear the mechanisms working to unlock the door, but then it immediately locks itself back. The passenger side door unlocks fine with the keyfob. My solution has been to unlock the passenger side door and climb over and manually pull the driver side door handle which finally releases the lock and opens the door. What I can do to fix the problem?
