View 14 Replies2008 Hyundai Accent 3 door the automatic transmission indicator light on the center console is not working anymore.
There is no mention of it in the Owners Manual. Every other bulb is referenced. Should I junk it or replace the bulb?
As some of you may be aware, I swapped out my OEM HU recently for an aftermarket one -- I show it in post 486 here -- and for various reasons, I decided to go back to stock. I got a pair of 70-1761 & 71-1761 wiring harnesses (because I have a 4-channel aftermarket amplifier) and in a lapse of judgement I tapped the dimming wire into the illumination wire.
Later that night, I noticed when driving with my headlights or parking lights on, the center console buttons don't light up. Specifically, the radio, home & other buttons don't light up and all & the climate control dial knobs are very dim. The ventilation buttons buttons of the HVAC all light up fine & my hazard & passenger seat belt light up fine.
I already check the instrument cluster dash light control & I notice the dial knobs react to it but are still very dim. The brightness of the instrument cluster doesn't match their brightness at all.
I went ahead an looked at my fuse box under the steering wheel column and checked the 10 amp PANEL fuse & it's not blown. For good measure, I swapped it out but the buttons still don't light up. I then checked EVERY fuse under the steering wheel column & non are blown.
In addition to that, I checked every 10 amp fuse in the engine bay fuse box & non of them are blown.
I have an 03 F350 Lariat, the overhead console display quit working awhile back (about 18 months ago) and so far my only option is to buy a new one from Ford. I have looked online, on ebay, local wreckers and have come up with nothing. I have come close a few times but the wrecks didn't have a sunroof so the display is different. I searched and found ways to fix the resistors but mine do not seem to have the poor solder problem that some do. Where I can find a replacement display?
View 1 RepliesMy 2010 II has two power sockets, one under the radio, and another inside the center console. The center console one does not work, whereas the other one does. I checked both the fuses, and even swapped the two fuses. I also checked several other fuses just to be sure. No fuses are blown and nothing changes by swapping the 2 power port fuses.

View 1 RepliesI want to change my B5 center console for a B5.5 one. I've heard that I have to change the handbrake handle too, is this a direct swap?
Anything else I have to be aware of? (besides that the fuel door button have to be relocated).
I decided to reset my Bluetooth module under my partner seat to listen to my Pandora and found this broken part.... It connects to .....
View 2 RepliesThe cigarette lighter adapter inside the center console of my 2010 Prius (next to the USB/iPod and AUX plugs) does not appear to be working, although the adapter underneath the gear shifter works fine. A few weeks ago, I found some coins, which I keep inside that center console that had gotten wedged inside the cigarette lighter adapter cavity. It was after removal of those coins that I first learned that the adapter was not working (I tried a few different devices to make sure that it was the adapter itself not working).
From reading the web, it sounds like the fix may be as simple as replacing the fuse. From what I understand, the fuse is just above the emergency parking brake. If so, where do I purchase a new fuse and how much does a new fuse cost? Also, how do I know which fuse needs replacing? Is that in the instruction manual?
Any possibility that there's an off switch that I accidentally hit?
View 1 RepliesHave an '07 ES350 non-ML audio system with navi. When out to the car today and found out the radio turned on when the car started but most of the audio control buttons on the center console no longer work. They worked fine the previous day. Here is a brief list of what does and does not work.
Power/volume : pushing it in to turn the radio on/off no longer work but rotating it does increase/decrease the volume
Tune/file : works fine
All other audio control buttons on the center dash for cd/am/fm/track control no longer work.
Sound from the speakers is fine.
The mode selector on the wheel works fine.
Navigation works fine.
As it is now, I am unable to turn the radio off since the power only responds to volume control. I am able to switch between radio and cd using the mode button on the wheel and the sound is fine. Could this be a fuse issue perhaps?
Having rattle on the right side of the center console? If so, did the dealership fix it or did you perform a DIY fix? The dealership said they tightened something a few weeks ago, which worked initially, but it is squeaking again. If I press against it with my hand (or have a passenger press their leg against it), the rattle goes away.
View 6 RepliesI have a 2006 F150 and the left rear turn signal and brake light has quit working. Also the license plate lights do not work. The cruise will disconnect when signalling a left turn. I have checked fuses and bulbs and the wiring/connector at the multifunction switch with no luck.
View 2 RepliesBoth front seat heaters are not working on my 2009 Avalon XLS. The center console lights do not illuminate. I presume it's not the fuse because according to the owners manual the 7.5A fuse also controls dash light, power outlet and flashers and they all work. Could it be another fuse, or something else? I can use a voltmeter

View 4 RepliesI bought a 2015 Camry LE, with manual AC.
I just noticed that every time I turn the temperature knob, there is a small buzz/hiss noise come from the center console. the more you turn the knob, the noise last longer, however, the sound disappear soon once you stop turning the knob.I tested this when the car is parked with power on but engine is not running, this noise is also noticeable in City drive if you audio is off.
I did some research and know that it is from the Heat blend door actuator/Air mix door motor. When you change the temperature, the motor is going to change the direction of the heat blend door.
My questions is : Is this noise noticeable on every Camry?
Is there is a TSB for a squeaky center console and arm rest ....

85 f150. My driver side brake light and turn signal in the back quit working. The tail light works tho which is a different filament. The bulb is good and I changed the flasher relay...the circle thing in the fuse panel. Everything else works just fine. looking for a starting point.
View 7 RepliesOn a trip I managed to pop both the fuse in the rear of my 07 B6 Variant and also the one in the rear of the center console. Checking the manual indicates a 20A fuse in both position 33 and 35 in the right hand fuse panel. Following the numbering scheme in the manual there were no fuses of that value there.
What are the correct position numbers. Also following the other threads my power outlets were switched with the ignition.
I am trying to change the color of the light on my dash board and center console from the standard orange to a light blue color. I've tried searching the internet looking for any advice but I haven't come across anything for a 2009 Toyota corolla. I understand that some cars need to have the light bulbs soldered and some can you can change out a colored film. Which of these options applies to my car? If it's the light bulb change then what size and how many. Also, how to take out the instrumental cluster.
View 6 RepliesI need to do various jobs concerning my center console (I need to change ashtray bulb!!). How to remove it, I've been told to start from the back (removing rear ashtray and cupholder).
