Have a 99 passat and none of the pass rear lights are working right now. I replace all 3 bulbs and they still wont light up. I changed the bulbs earlier today and as far as I could tell the bulb assembly was connected properly. is there a fuse for each side, or some common problem I can look for?

How easy to change the rear lights?
Ok i did do a "search" and it solved Half my problem. Both the (Front Pass & Rear Pass) 12V Socket were not working. Did a Search and read to check the Fuse Box. Checked ALL Fuses one by one and found a Blue 15 Amp Fuse Blown. Replaced it and the Front Pass 12V socket works now, but the Rear is still not working... Am i missing something?

In April of this year I had a large amount of water in the rear passenger area..Long story short it was the pollen filter..Dealership got it covered with my extended warranty, but yet I had to pay 1200.00 to replace the carpet..They also replaced the Control unit?? Wiring harness and housing...So, now fast forward to 2 days ago. I had a FLOOD in the rear DRIVER seat this time.I called to let them know and they said to bring it in Monday for emergency appt..My plan was to drop it off Sunday evening..during the night of rain we had Saturday I hear a god awful noise at 4 Am..My car is all lit up in orange lights.We had to disc the battery to stop the noise and lights..later that morning we got the wet-vac and hooked up the battery again. It started fine, but then all the lights went crazy and everything got all whacked out.
My trunk no longer closes...so we disc the battery and call AAA to tow to dealer..They just called me now..of course they need it for a day or 2 to determine the problem and see if it is covered! it damn well better be..they got it covered last time. I am beyond irate at this point. No doubt the car is in the same condition as before...main computer is obviously screwed up again..If they think I am paying 1 penny they are sadly mistaken..twice in 2 months?? Something is definitely hinky here..last time before they determined it was the pollen filter, they told me they cleared all drainage area and ruled out all that so they can't tell me that was the problem this time..They can't get clogged in 2 months when for the past 5 years I have NEVER had this issue.
My buddy just picked up a 2007 passat 2.0t. Upon bringing it home and locking it we noticed the horn didn't beep indicating an active alarm. I discovered the rear passenger door wasn't locking, and when opening it, even though the alarm was activated, the alarm didn't go off. The door unlock/lock switch as well as the window switch both aren't working. Can't open the window from the driver's door switch either.
I'm guessing it's probably something to do with the power to the door since it's completely unresponsive. Where would we be able to check if power is going to the door? Also, since the alarm doesn't go off when opened is there a sensor somewhere that says when the door is open and or locked?
The rear tail lights on my truck have been out for a while now. I wasn't doing much driving at night so it wasn't much of a bother but the new job is getting me home a little later and having to drive with my hazards on is getting old fast.
My radio wasn't working either and I disconnected it a while back hoping maybe it had something to do with my lights shorting out but no luck. It remains disconnected. Just in the past few days my front running lights have went out as well.
I've tested all fuses multiple times (and replaced a couple of them) and checked and replaced bulbs. My brake lights, headlights, dash lights and hazards all work fine. I have the trailer light hook up on the rear bumper and disconnected it at the wiring harness as well hoping it was the problem but it wasn't.
I have replaced the bulbs in every outlet on the passenger side but nothing is working yet. Is there a "flasher" that could be out on that side only and if so where is it located in the vehicle. (It sounds like it is behind the glove box.)

View 5 Replies1998 olds intrigue, 3800, auto, 4 wheel disc. Spongy breaks (ABS/Trac/Check engine/service engine soon). Friend brought her 'new' car over the weekend complaining about breaks feeling spongy.
First looked at the car and noticed the driver front passenger rear rotors had a lot of rust. They were also cool to the touch, odd after a 20 mile trip. The driver rear speed sensor has been repaired, and was unplugged.
The breaks are not working on the passenger rear, driver left. There is not any pressure at all at the calipers, and the rusty rotors show this.
Put the car on jack stands and with breaks depressed, the driver front/passenger rear wheels spun freely.
checked break lines/fluid, no obvious leaks.
I tried bleeding from the valve assembly attached to the master cylinder, and got only fluid out of the one bleeder, but not the other one. Could this be the master cylinder causing this, or the other assembly?

The bleeder on the right had nothing, the bleeder on the left that had fluid/pressure.
I installed a trailer wiring kit for my Tiguan (etrailer.com). All was working fine until a few months ago. I am now having issues with my passenger rear tail light (does not come on for brakes / turn signal / hazard). The running light works.
At the present time the trailer wiring kit is disconnected. When I went to check this out it seems that some water had got in the seal on the light and there was some corrosion on the plug/connector. Initially I thought that was the issue, but it does not seem to be.
The light bulbs / connectors work fine (tested on opposite side). I checked the fuses and can't find an issue. Power is getting to the light but the the voltage on the rear tail light is very low (0.1-0.5V) compared to 8-10V on for the drivers side. I'm wondering if this is a bad relay or some corrosion somewhere else?
- What fuse(s) are for the tail lights?
- Is there a flasher relay that I may need to replace?
I am looking at buying a 2004 Lariat and everything works beautifully on the truck with one exception, the passenger rear window. When the switch is pressed it not only doesn't move but there are no signs that the motor or regulator are working. The salesman grabbed the window and proceeded to say it was probably just "stuck". The window moves up and down about 1/4-1/2 an inch almost like it is not bolted to the track. Seeing as how I am new to this vehicle are there any common issues?
View 3 RepliesMy sonata 2009 power windows for the rear passenger doors are not working. From the driver's master switch , i can control all 4 power windows with no problem. But if i go to the rear doors (LH and RH) and use the power window switch from there. The windows don't go up or done. There is no sound like the motor is moving. Not very familiar with power windows circuit. But base on the description, by deduction, does it mean the rear power windows switch is broken ? Is there anything that i should check also. Is there any sites that has a diagram on how the power windows are interconnected.
View 6 RepliesThis passenger side rear turn signal stopped working two weeks ago after a period of intermittent operation. All other lights work. I replaced the bulb and fuses. I am not an expert about auto electrical. The relay box is under the hood on the driver side. There is another fuse box under the driver side dash left of the steering column. Auto parts stores want to sell me a "flasher" that, well, I can't figure out where it goes. The "TNS relay" in the relay box is smaller than the flasher the parts stores are selling me. My little owner manual is not useful. Any theories about what is wrong? Wiring? Relay? Where does that flasher go? Somewhere under the dash?
View 2 Replies My rear lights are not working. (brake, signal, hazard, reverse). I get power to the bulbs... showing 12V on 2 and 2V on one for each side. Fuses are good, and front lights working (signal, hazard, daytime running, full lights). Also, sometimes the gas gauge works, sometimes doesn't.
Also, power door lock will work on the first attempt only if I leave it for awhile... if i continuously keep pressing the unlock, if seems like the power drops each time to a point where all i hear is the FEM clicking... same if i do the lock part... every time i press it, the motor gets quieter and quieter. One time the locks worked and I was able to get all the doors to open... then the back lights all worked... and then the next day, it quit again... just like before.
My driver seat warmer works great but the passenger isn't working. There is no damage to the seat so I am wondering if there is a fuse or something else that can cause this other than a bad warmer? How do i test it?

View 4 RepliesI have aftermarket headlights and when they were put in and to today the passenger side lights are dimmer than the drivers side light. the mechanic supposedly changed the outlet and socket and said it was just something to deal with.

View 2 RepliesMy rear passengers side turn signal is not working. The bulb is lit up when i have my parking lights on so i know that th bulb is good. So my guess is that there is a voltage issue. I have searched the web for a wiring diagram and have come up empty handed.

The most obnoxious fault is that nothing electrical is working on the passenger FRONT door. locks, mirror, window...all dead even if controlled from the driver's side.
I recently had a dash light pop on indicating that I had a light out. After searching all over the car I realized that the blinker in the passenger side mirror housing is not working.
From what I've been able to gather by looking at my driver's side mirror there are 3 small LEDs (two facing the side and one facing forward). On the passenger mirror all three of the LEDs are not working.
I find it very hard to believe that all three LEDs have burned out, since they rarely burn out at all. Why the lighting on that mirror isn't working? I haven't noticed anything else that isn't functioning at all or properly so I'm stumped.
