Passat (B5) :: 2001 - Gas Caps Shows Different Pressure?

i have a few...
1. the max pressure on my tire is 44...my gas cap tells me otherwise...which should i follow?
2. i have a 2001.5 passat and the manual says i need a 91H load/speed rating...the tires on my car are 89H...what problems might that cause?
i keep all 4 tires inflated at 30 psi and check them every week...despite that i have uneven tire wear on the outsides as if they are underinflated...i am inclined to think that i got ripped off with my tires...what do yall think? i also regularly align, balance, and rotate my tires...

'97 F150 4.6L 4wd automatic... My gauge jumps around, sometimes it works and other times it shows no pressure. Could that be the oil pump? Or is the gauge most likely bad? Whats the actual purpose of an oil sending unit?

I was watching a tv show a while back, I cant find the episode but I think it was performance tv, and they had a 6.0 L expert on there and he was saying they see a lot of high pressure oil rail end caps come loose and or pop out. He was saying that they tap/thread the end of the oil rail and put a threaded in cap? Does it make any sense, can it be done, is it worth doing?

I have a weird problem with the AC on my 2001 Passat. Every so often, evidently at random, the computer will show an outside temp that is far below actual. It will sometimes drop to -58F, even when it is hot outside. It won't always go that far down--and it eventually returns to the true temperature. But when this happens, the AC turns off, or the heat turns up (I have the Climatronic thingy). We have to shut the climate control off altogether in order not to roast. Turning off the car is not always a fix for this, and neither is turning off the AC. I suspect a sensor of some kind has gone bad, but the dealership wants an exorbitant amount of money just to dig deep enough in the car to discover what is wrong. This has been going on for 6 months, in all weather, but with greater frequency lately.

We are having extremely cold weather. Yesterday my low air pressure icon came on. When I went to check the air pressure, I could not remove any of the caps.

My TPMS display shows everything ok but with pressures = 0. VAG-COM shows everything is ok, with each sensor showing a non-zero pressure matching my own manual readings. The controller self-diagnosis didn't show any problems. I've rebooted the car a few times, to no effect. Should I initiate a learning cycle?

I'm thinking of buying a 01 VW Passat. So the car is pretty nice I guess from what my dad says. Only one problem....not oil pressure. the motor has been flushed and still the same problem.

I inherited a Passat wagon abt a month ago and I just got an Oil Pressure Low warning.
Long story short, took it to the mechanic said it was a sludge issue in the oil pick up and that he'll have to drop the oil pan to fix it.
Don't have that to give at this point.
I'm confident I can tackle it myself but I need a DIY guide or the Haynes repair manual to guide me along the way.

I currently have a MK5 Jetta and my wife's van lease is up. I'm looking at picking up a 2001 Wagon 1.8t and giving her the Jetta. It checks out real well, the only issue is the oil pressure warning comes on after about 5-10 minutes of driving. Turn the car off and back on it goes away. He changed the oil when he got it a couple weeks ago, and didn't change the filter, he's taking it to his shop to have it re-done, and he was going to drop the pan and check the screen and pick-up and such. Has this been an issue or what may cause this?

Does the prius v TMPS shows you the pressure in each tire or just give you a warning when one of the tire is low. How many MPG do we gain if we over inflate the tire to the max possible.

2001 Prius. It started few months back where I get all kind of codes and the heat gauge shows up for like 30 seconds then the Triangle and Check Engine shows up. I used to pull over and disconnect the 12V battery but I found later on that the car would keep going fine even with all the Gauges on. I did replace the air filter. The issue almost gone away when the weather got colder. I just had to reset the battery after 40 mile or so.
Now, the overheat light comes on and after few seconds, the car just lose power and wouldn't respond to the gas. I have to disconnect the 12V battery or sometimes I just have to turn the car off for a minute or two and that might clear the lights for the overheat. The other day I turn the heater on to see if that would cool the car. Inside the car it was hot as hell but when I pulled over and checked the Radiator water, it was as cold. Is it possible it is the transmission that gets hot? The car now as not having enough power even just when I drive it while it is still cold. The only code I get is c1259. unplug the 12V battery and plug it back in is not clearing this code.

In California, if my OBC11 reader shows, "Cat Not Ready" and all other systems are "Ready" will it pass the smog test for an enhanced area?
In other words, do all systems need to show, "Ready" or am I allowed one or two "Not Ready"?
I do not have CEL on.

I bought a replacement bulb, swapped it out. No dice. I swapped over the passenger side low beam and still no dice. At this point I know its not the bulbs. I swapped in the original Driver's side light to the passenger side and it works. So now I have an extra bulb.
But the light is not working when I know the bulbs are good. Is this a fuse problem? It just happened one day while driving home from work the light shows up.
How should I go about fixing this and is it most likely a fuse that has gone out or something far worse?

Just bought a 2012 2.5l last week, and have a question about the MPG display on the dash. When I bought it from the dealer it had a full tank and it showed I had about 500+ miles left. Yesterday I filled up the tank again and now it only showed I have 405 miles, but as I drove it bounced around from 415-400. after driving about 35 miles its still at 405 miles. Just wondering if this is how it's supposed to be, if I have to reset something every time I fill up, or if something is wrong? I've always had mk4 so I'm not all up to date on the "new".

I use a scangauge to monitor the traction battery in my 2001 prius. Today when I started the car to come home, the alarm triangle came on, but the scangauge shows no codes found. The car ran fine and got me home, but what the alarm is about.

I have a 2000 passat 1.8T and the ABS light and brake light comes on and shortly after the "stop, break fault "message shows up. The warning does not come on every time I drive the car only sometimes. Brake fluid has been topped off and everything else seems fine. Is it a bad sensor somewhere? Something else maybe?
My check engine light is also on and the code is p0118. I replaced the engine coolant temperature sensor but I still get the code. Was there some secret way to replace it that I didn't know about? Something else I should check?

My 2001 Buick Lasebre is not starting properly. I have to pump the gas several times before it will start; then when it is started at low speeds or idle it wants to stall. As long as I can some how keep pushing the gas peddle it wont stall. On the other hand when I am driving at higher speeds, anything above 40 or so it runs perfect. The check engine light was on and shows EGR valve stuck open. I have replaced the Mass airflow sensor, fuel filter, and the EGR valve. I had the code cleared and a short while later my check engine light came back on with the exact same reading. I bought this car only a week ago and was not expecting to have to fix a car I just bought and ran fine while test driving it. I have read may different forum that say that it could be anything from my fuel pump to vacuum hoses, to some other sensor.

I am thinking of getting some TRD center caps for my Venza, and I wanted to see how you all thought it would look. A picture of my Venza is in my sig. I wish I could hold the cap up to my wheels before committing, but I think they have nearly the same color / finish.
