View 4 RepliesI have a 2011 xle camry with navigation that I cannot change the clock with daylight savings time. It is still an hour off.
1) I have already configured it for daylight savings time.
2) Tried to earlier time zone
3) I have adjust time zone by an hour
Is there a firmware update to make this happen? What am I missing?
We currently have a 2011 F250. During the day time, when you turn on the headlights all the way (not just on "auto"), the dash lights and clock shut off. Originally, I thought that they were just dimmed to the point where you couldn't see them, but the brightness is already turned all the way up on the dash lights. If I turn the brightness up any higher, the dome lights turn on, but the dash and clock remain off. If you return the headlights back to the "off" or "auto" position, the clock and dash return to their normal brightness.

It is dark between 5 o'clock on the speedo and 8 o'clock on the tach.
Where are the dash lights and what type are they?
In the process of selling my car and had my guy take my speakers out for the stock JBL ones but noticed after that my clock on the dash and dome lights aren't on at all. Is there a simple plug that cold have been missed?
View 1 RepliesI have a 2002 GTI 337 that I just bought. Got it cheap with minor issues. One of the issues is that the radio and the Dash clock/Odometer will not shut off when the car is off. I took it to VW and they told me that the Driver, Passenger, and Hood latch need replaced (vehicle isn't going into sleep mode). Its not that I do not believe them...
View 4 RepliesI have a 2012 Prius base model. The dash clock loses almost 3-4 minutes a day. Its still under warranty so I'll likely take it into the dealer and get it checked out..
The only thing "different" is I have a Garmin HD Bluetooth connector (which streams engine stats like the Scanguage does to my GPS unit) hooked up to the OBDII port..but that *should* not cause any issues I think.
My digital clock on the dash runs fast. Every month it gains 2 to 3 minutes compared with my cell phone and I have to adjust it.

View 19 RepliesWhy my 2002 volkswagen jetta station wagon is jerking, resetting the clock, flashing all the indicators on the dash, and Its stalling. When it start it to drive the transmission won't shift until it runs for about 5-10 minutes. One mechanic said the computer keeps resetting itself. The dealer said I needed a new transmission, but after 5 minutes the transmission shifts. It only has 117,000 miles.
View 19 RepliesA friend recently replaced the alternator on my 1991 740 Volvo GL. I got a used one that was a B230FT system, although not sure what that means. I think my 740 GL model is actually a B230F? Anyways, the alternators looked different, the old one was a Denso and didn't have blades. The new one is a Bosch with blades and slightly larger than the original. My friend had to make some modifications to the connections, basically clipping off the end of one of the wires, and exposing the wire so he could connect it to the new alternatlow beam headlights are too dimor.
My car is running, but my to see anything at night so I have to use the brights. And the dash lights, clock, and radio no longer work. The radio does not have "code" on it. It doesn't turn on at all. My mechanic says we have the wrong alternator on there, that the electrical system is different. But other sources said it would work fine. Is this true? Could the wire that he stripped and connected not be fully grounded resulting in these weird electrical failures? I'm still driving the car to work, but it makes me nervous.
I'm having an electrical problem that's resulting in the hazards, dash lights, radio and clock all constantly flashing on and off repeatedly. The car starts fine.
When investigating under the hood, I found a wire (pictures below) that wasn't connected to anything. I'm not sure if this is what's causing the problem, but I figured this was a good place to start.
What this wire is supposed to be attached to, and if it has anything to do with the flashing lights I'm experiencing?
What this wire is or possible causes of these flashing lights.
Today I received my passat from the dealer's body shop after a rear end accident. Rear lid, bumper, reinforcement, lights, parking sensors, fuse and front seat belts replaced. So I suppose that no one touched the front end except for the towing bar cover. But I drove the car and found that the hood is shaking at high speed (200+ kmph) which is odd to me since the car was rock solid.
I opened the hood and felt that the release handle was loose ( can't feel the mechanism any more). Visually the right side of the hood is higher than the fender. Also pushing on the hood seems that it doesn't set on the rubber adjusters (there are 4 adjusters)
After making few adjustments (only the outer adjusters ) the hood is even higher than before although it is tight and the release handle felt good.
How can I lower the hood while keeping it tight?
How do you level or adjust the headlights on the b6 passat? I have the 2.0t halogen lamps but it seems like my headlights are pointing down???? Can i do this myself?

View 2 RepliesI had some body work done this summer after my wife sideswiped another car. Both passenger-side doors had to come off for repairs/replacement and repainting. The end result looked great but after a little while I noticed that the rear door is about 3mm lower than it should be--the chrome trim around the windows and the crease in the sheet metal don't line up with the front door and the rear window surround. I imagine that fixing the alignment is a matter of supporting the door with a jack, loosening the hinge bolts where they attach to the b-pillar, nudging it into alignment, and re-tightening the bolts, but looking for a more specific procedure?
View 3 RepliesJust bought a 2000 Passat GLX 4Motion wagon. It originally came from the US, thus, has the mph speedometer and the odometer is in miles. I
So, VAGCOM can adjust the odometer from miles to kilometers? Also, any info on where I might be able to get a instrument cluster in kph?
I just got a set of OEM headlights put in my car. The first time i drove it at night, i noticed that the driver's side headlight dropped short of the coverage that the passenger side headlight did (distance wise). How can i adjust this?
View 1 RepliesIs there something I need to do to get the ac to come out of the vents in the back of the arm rest for passengers in the rear like my 1 year old? I looked in the manual briefly and didn't see anything. Am I screwed without climatronic?
View 24 RepliesHow do you adjust the low beam headlights for a 06 Passat? I have found the vertical adjustment now I'm trying to find the horizontal adjustment. For some reason the lights are aimed way out to either the left or the right. Has been like this since I bought the car. Had the car a month, only 42,000 and it's already been in the shop 3 times. Everything from ignition coil, to steering column and comfort control module.
