I picked up a bluetooth OBDII scanner and plugged it up, and tried following the instructions found on this forum. Only problem is, every time I run 3b ac 40, I just get a return of NO DATA.

View 2 RepliesGen II? My 2004 will occasionally beep from the dash after shut down (until I close the door). If I ignore the beep, close the door and walk away, the next morning it will need a jump start!
My dealer said it was because I was shutting down before putting it in Park. I always thought Park was unnecessary. Anyway, I got in to the habit of putting it in Park every time before shutdown, and still sometimes I get the dash beeping when I open the door.
For the last couple weeks, every time I shut down my car, it would beep. A single, two-second beep. It would beep after my morning commute and again after my evening commute. Every time, I would tell myself, "I should really look that up."
As is typical, I kept forgetting to search for it. I remembered seeing something like it and I was thinking that perhaps it was a low 12v battery warning but I just got a new 12v last fall. I put it off and put it off.
My 98' 1.8t AEB was having a bad valve tick so i took the valve cover off and noticed the top camshaft had a lobe eaten away pretty bad and it looks like the bearing next to it was spinning I KNOW that its from a lack of lubrication so that means its my oil pump? there was absolutely no sludge or swarf that i could see.
what made me take the valve cover off was a small oil leak and i thought it was the gasket, but my PCV valve slipped out of its sleeve so thats where the oil came from.
also, every time i started my car the oil would come on right away, beep three times, and blink until i shut the car off.
So, i guess i am wondering, do i have deeper problems here or could i replace the cams, bearings and oil pump?
Recently, my 2007 Prius will make a "BEEP" when I press the POWER button to shut down the vehicle. This doesn't happen all the time, but only 1 out of 25 times or so. Other than the beep, I can't seem to figure out what's wrong. Everything seems to work as normal.
View 4 RepliesCannot any instructions of how to do it. there are a few links that are supposed to tell you, but those links did not lead me to any instructions.
View 8 RepliesNew noise maker means they turned off that "cabin" beep nonsense when in "R"? With our ZVW30, the ONLY indication that the last of the gas is gone is the 'power flow' arrows disappear. I'm wondering if Toyota might have brought back something to let the driver know the last of the gas is gone.
View 10 RepliesIs there a way to disable the beep when reverse is selected?
View 19 RepliesThe technician at Toyota showed me the options. You could either have a continuous beep or the intermittent beep, but you do not have the option of turning it off. I told him it was possible, but how?
View 19 RepliesLooking for the instructions for disabling the reverse beeping on a '11 prius?
View 2 RepliesIf you are tired of that irritating continuous beep while in reverse, I can take care of that for you. I can customize your Gen 3 (2010-2015) prius to only beep once while you put your car in reverse. Process takes about 5 min and can be done anywhere. If you are around the Vacaville, Fairfield California area, we can meet up and I can customize your prius for you. Hit me up if interested.
View 5 RepliesA couple months ago I bought a 2010 with the basic trim package. How to change the Beeping in reverse from continuous to "one beep". The owner's manual says that you have to take it to the dealer.
View 5 RepliesI could have sworn that I read somewhere on here how you can use the Scan Gauge II to change the reverse beep, but like they always say I cant find it now.
View 12 RepliesWhen I put the gear on reverse, parking sensors beep even there is nothing behind the car! I tried to clean the surface by my finger!
The Last time that they worked pretty well was before I unplug and plug the power cable of my stereo system while battery cables were connected!
Can the problem coming from for that? How can I take the sensors out and clean them fully? Do you think disconnecting the battery for one minute can work?
I had the reverse and seat belt beeps changed by the dealer before I took delivery. Now I want to install some mods which would entail disconnecting the 12-volt battery. With pre-2010 Prii the beeps would go back to the default settings. Will this happen on the 2010+? I don't want to make another trip to the dealer.
View 10 RepliesOn a 2012 ford f350. We put on a tommylift gate and took off bumper with sensors. We added sensors to tommylift, now constant beeping in reverse because of location of sensors. Is there any way to permanently disable the revese buzzer??
View 5 RepliesI've found lots of good resources here about disabling the backup beep with a bluetooth OBDII device, but I don't have access to an android phone. I have a windows 7 laptop.
View 8 RepliesI played around with the audio system (Golf R with Nav) and it would not show any media even though the phone was paired and I was able to make the calls. Pandora would not play through the speakers either (BT streaming enabled). A sales guy with an IPhone had no problems - as soon as he would hit 'Play' in iTunes, the music streamed just fine.
View 24 RepliesSo I was cleaning the house and found a OBDII I was wondering how I can use it. Would the car still give me codes even if there is no check engine light?
